Good morning. This is your insurance connection. I'm your host, Donald Marquez, on your insurance connection, we talk about saving money on auto insurance, homeowners insurance, yes, and we talk about life insurance. Welcome to the show.

Good morning. My name is Don Marquez. This is your insurance connection. Broadcasting ready every Sunday morning. K u n v, 91.5 jazz and more from 8am to 830 Welcome. Welcome to my show right here at K u n v, oh. Let's get into it. Y'all. I mean, this weather in Vegas is really, really nice. Get out there and take a walk. I've been walking lately, and you should do the same, you know, just, just, if you don't have a pet, just get out and do it yourself. It makes you feel so much better, especially with the really nice weather. The only thing is, we have a little windy weather with the allergies, I understand, but it makes you feel so much better. I'm a licensed life insurance broker representing multiple companies for auto insurance, life insurance, yes, and I love talking to people that listening to KU and V 91.5, jazz and more, when they hear me on the radio, they say I've learned so much. But there are times, and I have to share this with my listeners. There are times when I do offer a life insurance policy, and even when people with underlying health conditions, you know, they want to shop it. You know, I give them a quote they want to shop it. I don't recommend anyone going online, going to the computer, put all your personal information in the computer. They ask for your name, your date of birth, your address, you know, your smoker, non smoker, but what they have is your name and your address and your date of birth. That's a lot of powerful information. You will receive a lot of phone calls. Let's get that straight. Let's be clear. You will receive a lot of calls. Now, when you contact me, the only information that I share is with the company that we select for your quote or for your policy, for life insurance, even for auto insurance, too as well. I only select the one company quote you on the one company or, you know, I look for the lowest quote possible when I look for life insurance, I look for the lowest quote possible when I look for auto insurance. But there are times when people okay, I receive a quote from me, and they go fishing online, on the internet for life insurance. Now you're gonna get a lot of calls. You receive a lot of calls. And what they do the internet, shares that information. They sell your lead to an insurance agent somewhere in the United States, somewhere around the world, and you receive these calls, and you're gonna be bombarded with calls for the next couple of months, probably for the next three months. I don't again, I don't share your information. That's too much personal information to share with anyone. I only share with the company that we select moving forward with their life insurance. It does happen, and then all of a sudden, you know, people call me like, I get a lot of calls, and I don't know these strangers, you know, and I don't care how good they make it sound on the phone. Do you really trust that information? You don't know who you're talking to, and they're asking you for your date of birth, your social security number, your checking account, your writing account, your debit card, and you're giving and I've heard people had bad experience doing this, so don't, don't do that. Don't, don't do that. Let's move forward. I know the insurance industry, they have made it convenient to shop for life insurance online. I don't recommend it. If you're a licensed insurance agent. Is here for a reason. We are here for a reason. I'm a licensed insurance agent. The companies have me here for a reason to represent you the best way possible, to inform you what type of policy you purchasing. It's like, it's not like pumping gas, you know, regular or on that. It's not like that. It's not like that. And I've seen people pump diesel gas in their gas cars by mistake. So but easily, you can make a mistake going online, doing it yourself, and end up with the wrong policy, or, you know, you giving all your information to some scammer. So you know, be clear when it comes to what I do. I don't share your information with anyone. No other resources. I don't sell your information. I use your information to take it directly to the insurance company that we select, regardless of if it's auto or homeowners or life insurance that come, that come, that one company only is going to get your information, and they don't share your. Information. Now, once you are uploaded with a policy, a brand new policy, then you pay the insurance companies direct. I don't, I don't represent any insurance companies when it comes to taking your money across my desk. I don't take any money across my desk, no checks, no debit cards, you know, nothing. I don't take payments in my office. I just don't I set you up with the insurance company. You pay them direct. If you need to change your account information, you contact the insurance company direct. My name is Don Marquez. I'm a licensed insurance broker. If you'd like to check me out and you can, you can contact the Department of Insurance right here in Las Vegas, Nevada. They're located on Sarah, I have a flawless track record in the last 29 years. I pride myself on good service. I always give you a call back. I do. I'll call you back. Now, if you contact me by way of sale, or you text me at 70223626247022362624

I will contact you. My business hours are Monday through Friday, from nine no Monday through Friday. Let me back that Monday through Friday from 10am to 5pm I don't want to get in that morning traffic. Yeah, and I don't work on Saturdays anymore. They have closed my office. My business location is on the corner on Sahara and Rancho, and in the US bank center, 702-236-2624, my name is Don Marquez. This is your insurance connection now, corner of Sahara Rancho that's right across the street from the Palestinian Hotel. Tall, beautiful, brown building with us. Bank on the top. I'm on the eighth floor. Appointment. I work by appointment, 702-236-2624, now for convenience, for convenience listeners, we could do a lot over the phone. I want to thank the listeners that contact me and we did their business over the phone. Now, you know we're going into May. Some of you may have birthdays coming up. You want to get your life insurance in order, because some of the companies that I represent take your current age, not what you're going to be three months from now. And if, when you call me, tell me your current age, I always ask you how What is your age today, because, for some reason, seniors like to put up their age another year. Why are you trying to get older? We want to keep you young as possible. I can write a life insurance policy from day one to up to 85 years young. 86 can't write your life insurance policy if you have underlying health conditions, cancer, diabetes, lupus, if you're a met foreman, let's get a life insurance policy. Don't think you can't get one if you has all if you have Alzheimer's dementia, I need a person to talk to for you, to represent you. Now, if you have currently Alzheimer's and dementia, and you're listening to this program, I need a represent representative to contact me, for you to answer all the health questions, and also, if you have Alzheimer's or dementia, I can't take the money out of your checking account unless you have a joint account with your spouse. Now, if you have a loved one and with Alzheimer's or dementia or or Lou Gehrig's disease, I can help them with a life insurance policy. I can get them a policy, but I need a representative to ask all the health questions, and the money has to come out of an account other than the person with Alzheimer's dementia or organic brain syndrome known as Lou Garrison's disease. Als Lou Garrison's disease. My name is Don Marquez. This is your insurance connection. If your loved one has alcohol or drug abuse lifestyle, let's get them a policy. We can get them a life insurance policy. I know some of your family members may be homeless or just, you know, in a bad situation where they they're addicted to alcohol or drugs or both. And you know, you could be the responsible party that received that phone call to say, You know what we found your loved one, what you gonna do? I had a lady said, You know what, I want to donate my remains to science and not pay for a funeral. That was pretty good. But you know what? Think about it, science. Have all the bodies they need from the homeless population. From the homeless population. They don't need any more bodies. They have plenty to work with through the homeless population. So if you, if you're, if your idea of, okay, my my final expense is not going to cost anybody anything, because I'ma donate my remains to science. What do you on? LV, okay, for instance, UNLV, don't you know the UNLV have a wide variety of co daveurs to to work with because of the homeless population. Just keep that in mind. I. Go with that worship. And I've had people come to me and tell me that that was their plan. Or they'll call me up and say, How much is life insurance policy for this much? And I tell them, I said, Well, you know, I think I donate my bomb body, the science really, you know, I think about very difficult time during that time, the dignity of it to I cannot imagine offering my loved ones body to science so they can just cut them open. And I know you, maybe you feel like, okay, it's a good thing to help people along the way research. I understand all that, but I want to bury my loved one with dignity and honor and celebrate their life. I don't want anyone just, you know, a student, or, you know, just cutting on my, my loved one, and you maybe even utilizing their body parts for research. I just don't, you know, I feel that, you know, I've shared a wonderful life with my loved one, and I want them put away, you know, and their final resting place with dignity. That's how I feel. Now, maybe other people don't feel the same way, but life insurance is it's like this. You're preparing yourself, you're protecting yourself like you protect your car. Many of you drive cars every day, and you have to have life and auto insurance on your car. Now, your car is valuable to you because it's a means of transportation, but just think about, Okay, what does that mean to your family when you're paying your car insurance, you pass car insurance paid, but no life insurance, hmm, and I know things cost a lot of money these days, but something is better than nothing. I could be reached at 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 I offer term policies up to 30 years for a term policy. Now if you're 58 years young and non smoker, we can get you up to 30 years for a life insurance policy on a term. So at 58 that'll take that term policy all the way to age 88 now, term is going to be your lowest cost policy for the amount of insurance you receive. If you're a young person and you're a millennial and you're, you know, your early 30s with a family, and if you have a job and you Okay? Well, I have life insurance on my job. I get three times my salary. If your salary is $50,000 a year, that's only $150,000 with two children and a spouse left behind. You know one thing about life and death, it death does not discriminate based on age. It's from day one to age to 100 and plus or so. So we don't know exactly when we're gonna go. That's the mystery of life, right? We don't know. So isn't it better be to be prepared? Richard Price said something or quote. It was a quote he made. He said it's better to have it and not need it than needed and not have it, because your family's gonna find out how well you took care of your finances when that time comes, and it comes for all of us. Hey, Dad didn't have any life insurance. Are you serious? Dad drove nice cars, you know, dressed nice all the time, went out to dinner, to the show, to the casino, gamble. Have fun relatives come out of town. He, you know, he shows them a good time. They, you know, if you guys have traveled, been places and no life insurance, are you serious? Well, we had a policy, but we let it go. We let it lapse. I hear that, do not let your life insurance policy labs. You know, your life insurance policy lapse and you still have cable TV, your life insurance laps and your nails are still done, your life insurance policy labs and you're still going on vacation. It's priorities now, I mean, we have to look at the priorities we never know. And I've 29 years in this business, I've heard a lot. I've heard a lot of people make some some serious mistakes, letting the life insurance policy lapse. If you need a life insurance review or auto insurance review are for no obligation, meaning you pay nothing for the review. Sit down with you with your policies. I need to look at your policies. I can't pull them up online, especially the life insurance I need to look at the physical policy to tell you exactly what you have. So many of you have life insurance policies that the rate is adjusting, and you wonder, why? Because it costs money to insure you as you get older, if you don't have a fixed premium life insurance policy, some of these policies are adjustable as you age and you wonder what's going on. Let me take you through the process and the most common reason why your policy is going up, because if you took out a term policy, let's say a 10 year or 15 or 20 year term, now you've out lived the term. Now you. What you're in, what we call the extended term, and every year on that policies anniversary is going to the price is going to escalate where you can't afford it, and you're going to cancel the policy. Now, some of you feel like, well, that's not fair, because I paid all the money into that policy, you know, and then there was no claim. But compared to your auto insurance, right? You pay all the money into the auto insurance. There's no claim, and nothing happens from year to year to year. You don't get in the car accident. You don't get any speeding tickets, but you paid the policy. You were protected during that period of time. This is my whole point. I've heard people say, Well, you know, I paid all this money in the laboratory about and I live the policy. You bought the wrong policy, or you didn't. You didn't convert your term over to a whole life policy. Think about that. Think about it. You didn't convert it over. You just wrote it out. Now your policy is over.

The most important thing about purchasing life insurance is having an agent that you can connect with. That's why I call my business your insurance connection. Because I connect with people. I connect with the insurance companies. I take you right to the insurance company. I want to make sure that you fully understand what you're purchasing. I'm surgical when it comes to offering life insurance, and you should you should be open minded to say, You know what? This is something I do need for my family if you're getting ready to retire and you're going to lose those benefits. I just talked to a lady just last week. She said, Well, you know, I'm working for the school district, and I'm gonna retire here in six months, and I I've had, you know, underlying health conditions. And I said, Okay, I can get your policy up to this certain dollar amount. And she well, she said, Well, yeah, but you know, I could save that. Listen, people don't save money. They just don't. They just don't. You haven't done it up to this point. Look at life insurance policies, instant savings automatically in your account. If you check out a policy, whatever face amount that policy is, you just put that money in your savings account and you just chip away at it every month. You cannot go to the bank and say, I want $50,000 and I want to pay less than $100 a month. You can't do that. Or if you go to the bank and say, I want 50 $100,000 life insurance policy, and I want to, I want to pay less than $200 a month, you can. You can't. You can't do that at the bank. You know you can't. So if you go to the bank and say, I want to borrow that money, 100,000 or 200,000 and they all like, No, you can't borrow that amount and only pay less than couple $100 a month. You just can't. But you can with life insurance policy. You can purchase life insurance policy and pay a little bit at a time, but that money is in your account. What the life insurance companies do? You take out a life insurance policy, they have to take their face amount of the policy. Let's say it's 25,000 for an example. They take $25,000 and put it in an escrow account for you. That money has to be held in trust. So when you do pass that money is there for your beneficiary, or your beneficiaries, if you have more than one beneficiary, you know, and you could use that as a percentage, let's say you have a son and maybe a grand grandchild. You can have your your your children at a certain percentage, and it has to equal 100 so you can say, you know, I want to leave, regardless of the face of mine on the policy, I want to leave my children 80% of the life insurance policy, and I want my grandchildren to have 20% of the policy. You can do that, but make sure that the information is filled out correctly. This is why it's important to have an insurance review. Now I've seen a lot of you. You take your primary beneficiary at 50% and you put your contingent beneficiary at 50% that's that's put, that's filling that information out incorrectly, and unfortunately, a lot of times to the underwriter doesn't catch it, but it's filled out incorrectly. This is why it's important to have an insurance review when you buy a policy by way of mail, that's the worst ones you can purchase through the mail and or on the internet. You know, they don't come with a life insurance, licensed life insurance agent to explain to you what do you just purchase? Face to face, they don't. And now they could be anywhere you live, in Las Vegas. They can be in some small town in Wichita, Kansas, right? They could be, I'm just telling you, but they don't come to your house and say, Okay, Mr. Mr. Jones, you just purchased this policy. Here's the policy. I am delivering the policy to you, and these are the coverages. This is how long you have the life insurance. You have to do that all on your own. You have to figure it out on your own because you didn't use an agent. Agents are here for a reason. I'm a licensed insurance agent. I love what I do. I like explaining this because it helps you understand better. No one does this but me. I come on the air every week right here, kumv 91.5 jazz or more, and I just educate my listeners about. The importance of having the right policy. There's so many policies out there, and it's very confusing. I get this call about iuls, okay, that is really set up for a younger generation of people with the IUL because I've had people say, Well, you know, I want to take out IUL and you 6070, years young now with the iuls. That's really geared for the younger person that's in their early 30s, you know, or maybe the younger you are with IUL the better off you're going to be in the long run. But that is set up for retirement, for, you know, putting them into that account, for, you know, 2030, years of paying into that account so you could build up that retirement. If you're in your 70s or your 60s, it may be a little too late for that IUL, because now you need to inject the IUL with a large sum of money that Okay, let's take me for an example. When I turned 65 years on right, I looked

at IUL, they told me, I need to inject the IUL with $100,000

to get it going. And I did the math. I just didn't make sense to me, right? I did my $100,000 I'm gonna give you $100,000 to put me at, yeah, because what happened? I didn't take advantage of when I was in my 20s and 30s. I wasn't in the insurance business that's time, but that's when, that's when you take out IUL, when you're in your 20s, when you're in your 30s, even in your early 40s, you do have time, because it takes, takes time for that, that policy, to build up that cash value asset. My name is Don Marquez. I hope this is helpful, helpful for you. There are other policies. We have whole life, we have universal life, and we have term now I don't sell iuls Because it's directly tied to the stock market. I do offer a straight annuities. If you're looking to put your money away with the principal, fixed principal, fixed interest rates, your principal is guaranteed. I don't like using that word, but your principal is guaranteed. And now some annuities, you can only put in a max amount of so many, so many dollars per year. You would have to find out through your financial resources, you know, whatever. So if you want an annuity, I would, I would find out what is the maximum amount of that annuity you can pull in. Now, once you turn 59 and a half, you could pull up out 10% of the annuity without being penalized from the United States government. So if you have $100,000 in your annuity, you could pull out $10,000 without being taxed, without being penalized. That's News You Can Use. My name is Don Marquez. This is your insurance connection, my contact phone number, 702-236-2624

again, 702-236-2624

hopefully this is helpful. And again, if you've had underlying health conditions like disease of the heart, heart attack, heart surgery or congestive heart failure, I can still get your life insurance policy if you've had a problem with your circulatory system, including stroke, aneurysm or been advised have surgery to improve circulation. Yes, I can get your life insurance policy cancer. If you've had cancer and you stage one stage two, let's get yourself a policy. I can get you a life insurance policy. Or if you have lung disease, COPD emphysema, I can get you a policy. Liver or kidney transplant, I can get you a policy if you have disease of a liver or kidney, let's sit down and talk about getting your life insurance policy. And again, alcohol or drug abuse, loved ones or yourself, you need a policy. If you have diabetes and you've been turned down for life insurance, let's sit down and have a conversation. My name is Don Marquez. This is your insurance connection. 702-236-2624 702-236-2624, my location, Sahara Rancho, exactly on the corner of Sahara and Rancho in the US bank center located on the eighth floor. I can make the policies affordable for you. Will fit in your budget, and you're going to keep your policy you're not going to say, You know what, I let my policy go. Why would you do that? I'd rather you say, You know what, I let my cable TV go before I let my life insurance policy go, because TV has TVs, TV, but life insurance, that's something your family's going to need, and you're going to need it too, because a lot of these policies that I do offer with a cash value asset, if you have an emergency, and we some time to time, we do have these emergencies, you can borrow money against a life insurance policy. Again, 702-236-2624, 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 if you need to email me, my email address is Donal dot Marquez, M, A R, Q, U, e z@outlook.com, once again, Donal dot, M, A R. R, Q, U, E, z@outlook.com, we'll do this again next week. Go outside. Take a walk. You know, feels good outside. It feels good. Take a walk 30 minutes. Give your body 30 minutes every day for exercise. We'll do this again next week. Until then, just keep it crispy. Thank you for listening.
