No matter what I'm out largest model will accept your donations to keep that programs like this on the air. And of course I'm music and other talk shows, and you know information that you can use to enhance your life. I am an insurance agent for the last going on 28 years right here in the state of Nevada, my hometown, which I do love that I love the growth. I love the fact we get the aces and our season is getting ready started right around the corner. We have the Raiders,

Unknown Speaker 2:16
we'll put our hands on the raiders and pray for them.

Unknown Speaker 2:19
Of course, the Golden Knights. And

Unknown Speaker 2:23
I heard I tore down a Tropicana that again are in the process of turning down the Tropicana. You know I just like to talk about my city a little bit before I get into my radio talk show Tropicana I hear they're getting ready to make a baseball field and we're gonna get the A's. It's amazing. You know, growing up in Vegas, there's only seven high schools when I grew up in Vegas and look at it today, I think it's close to 3 million people or more. And the population it just keeps growing. We just need some more water and like me to continue to grow. But with growth. Of course, you know, I see people on the side of the road stranded on the side of the road, trying to change their flat tire.

Unknown Speaker 3:01
This is why you get roadside services on your auto insurance policy. You get roadside, you know so when when your car do break down, and you have a flat tire or you know your battery won't start, you contact roadside assistance and they'll come out or change the battery for you or change the tire for you now know most cars don't have a spare. Back in the day all cars had a spare what the jack and you learn how to jack up your car change the spare. But today we have roadside assistance. Now I don't know what they do. As far as if you don't have a spare, maybe they have some liquid they can put in your tie if it has not to ruin but utilize your roadside assistance on your auto insurance policy. You can contact your Roadside Service, just turn your ID card around and the information on your Roadside Service would be right there. On your auto insurance ID card. You should always carry your insurance ID card on your auto insurance policy because if you get stopped, the first thing a police officer is going to ask you

Unknown Speaker 4:05
driver's license registration and proof of insurance.

Unknown Speaker 4:09
All three of those and maybe not that order. But you're gonna be asked for proof of insurance, registration and driver's license and roll you into completely down so the officer won't get aggravated. But when you show the proof of insurance, you want to make sure you have the most updated current ID card. They're not interested in an A ID card that's that you've had for the last couple of years. Although you met with your insurance company for a very long time. They're not interested in that old ID card they want to see the most current ID card so have that available. have that available for the police officers to make it a smooth transaction or whatever the reason you got stopped, but you don't want you you don't want to hold up the process. And if you do receive a speeding ticket, we can help you get there reduced down to a parking ticket. My name is Donnell Marquez, you

Unknown Speaker 5:00
This is your insurance connection. My office is located right around the corner of Sahara Rancho. In the US bank center, I'm located on the eighth floor, our work by appointment. For more information 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 My business hours are Monday through Friday from 10am to 5pm. And some Saturdays I will work because I know a lot of you work probably nine to five during the week, and you really can't get it through my business hours. But I can book you an appointment, I work by appointment only 702 to three 626 24. When you come into my office, I'm located on the eighth floor, right on the corner, Sahara Rancho. In the US bank center, eighth floor, we'll go have all your insurances, your auto your home, your life insurance, you know, of course, you know life insurance, if you listen to to this program. You know, we always talk about life insurance is so important. It is very, very important. I mean, in my career, you have to understand that I've seen so much in my many years of servicing Southern Nevada for insurance. And people have come to me with families that are devastated losing a loved one. And they find out that loved one doesn't have any life insurance.

Unknown Speaker 6:25
But they don't want to repeat that cycle. You know, of course, everyone that I talked to is always we always have a conversation about life insurance. But I'm talking about customers have heard this program. And they heard about me or you know, or I go to conventions, or I go to business that works. I'm out in the community. I've been serving the community for 28 years and the insurance industry. And if you'd like to check on me, you can check all my my background and Division of Insurance right here in Southern Nevada. And I have no complaints and many years of service. I started out as an Allstate Insurance Agent back in the late 90s. I stayed there for seven years with my own agency, then, you know, we parted ways.

Unknown Speaker 7:09
Only reason because I didn't want to be a banker, because Allstate was moving in a different direction. They wanted me to be a banker, right home mortgages. And I wasn't willing to do all that I get my series, series license to sell variable annuities. I was I didn't want to do all that. I was too busy being an insurance. I wanted to be an insurance agent. I like talking to people just I love what I do. I don't want to be a banker. That's the direction they were going in along with the insurance and financial services and insurance. We parted ways I want to triple A insurance company,

Unknown Speaker 7:44
which has served his clients for 15 years in the auto homeowners life insurance. And I'm and 2015 I decided to go on my own. I retired from AAA. And I decided to be an insurance broker. Now the difference between what I did previously with Allstate and also AAA, I can only sell their products and services. I can only offer AAA or Allstate products and services when I was an agent during their during my tenure with those companies. That being said, I had to pick up the phone call brokers, because I couldn't place insurance for my customers for life insurance because they had underlying health conditions. And these are some of the underlying health conditions, their diabetes, whether they will Metformin or insulin, they wouldn't insure these companies, right.

Unknown Speaker 8:36
And also if they had Alzheimer's, dementia, you know, COPD, a history of cancer, standing heart on blood thinners, multiple sclerosis, all those people were denied. I would pick up the phone and call a broker and say, Can you can you insure my customer for me, I have the auto insurance, I have the homeowners insurance. Unfortunately, the companies want me won't allow me to write their life insurance. all insurance companies are not equal. They're not. The prices could be the prices could be off maybe 10 $15 Here and there, but not a whole lot. Because the rates are based on your age and your health, your age and your health. That's how we base the rates. Now,

Unknown Speaker 9:19
some companies underwrite differently, and this is what I mean by all companies are not always equal. Because some companies will allow, you know, the diabetics, they'll allow the people with multiple sclerosis, they will allow individuals to come in with the Alzheimer's dementia, or COPD or history of cancer. Yes, it was a we'll write their insurance. We will write their their insurance, but it's going to be at a certain face amount. And not everyone is different. So their face amounts that could vary. However, it will be a whole life policy with underlying health conditions. If you have or know someone in your family that does not have a life insurance policy.

Unknown Speaker 10:00
Same with underlying health condition as I just mentioned, the diabetes, the you know, the COPD, the Alzheimer's dementia, multiple sclerosis on blood thinners, a stent in your heart, a history of cancer, I can get them a life insurance policy 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 My name is Dawn Marquez, licensed insurance broker right here in Southern Nevada, offering homeowners auto insurance, life insurance boats, and motorcycle insurance. You know, if you have a life insurance policy, there's no obligation reviews, you can bring your policy in with an appointment, bring your policy and I can't, I cannot look it up on the on the computer, you have to bring your policy and even if I write an insurance policy. So just to let you know, if I read your insurance policy, I do not have a copy of the policy in my office.

Unknown Speaker 11:01
I don't have a copy, I don't have access to your policy, because their privacy laws or HIPAA laws that we have to abide by to protect your privacy. And I've said this before on my show, and I will repeat it again. If you go online to purchase your own life insurance, you're going to receive a lot of phone calls. But because what happens is with the algorithms, they pick up the just searching for life insurance online, you have your name, your phone number, your date of birth, all the pertinent information. And these algorithms pick it up. And although you may go to a direct company, these algorithms will pick up your information and sell it to these lead companies. And all of a sudden now you receive all these phone calls from agents all across the country to offer you life insurance, it could be nada, three months from now. We don't want that to happen. We don't want that to happen. Because when with mean the only information I share is with the company that we select the one company that we select for your life insurance 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 Before I get too too far into the program, I got to say Happy Mother's Day. To all the mothers it's Mother's day every day but you know today is your special day. Guys, you know you got to take them out to dinner. You have to do some of those moms and the children do some what your mother I mean please do something with your mom because not always depend on dad because when it comes to Father's Day, when it comes to Father's Day The only thing we we don't want to we don't want to go to a restaurant. We may want to go out to the leg maybe go to the mountains relax, stay at home, relax, put some steaks on the grill, or whatever you like to put on a grill and just enjoy the game and enjoy the day. That's all we want to do. But mothers are completely different. Of course they want to get dressed up, put the makeup on you know the paradigm the nails done, and go out and have dinner and that's a tradition try to find reservations on Sunday if you if you haven't already booked reservations. You know you gotta you and a lot of trouble today. And if you hadn't bought that Mother's Day card, I hope you got to he was early right now.

Unknown Speaker 13:15
After this program, you need to get down to the to the store quickly to get that card because I got caught one Mother's Day. And I waited to the last moment to go get a Mother's Day card and it was a day of Mother's Day. And I went to the store and there's about five guys fight no one fighting over one card. And as it was over at the you know in the in the aisle fight number one card I just happen to see a card that was perfect

Unknown Speaker 13:45
for Mother's Day.

Unknown Speaker 13:48
Unfortunately didn't get a get a chance to get any flowers. I bought some candy. And that was it. But see I don't wait any I don't wait to the last moment I shot for Mother's Day card. Try to do a week in advance. That way I have my Mother's Day card, and all the cards are filled out. When a Mother's Day come I can sit back and relax. I don't have to be like some of the guys rushing to the store to get a Mother's Day card flowers. You know we have to we have to pre plan. We have to pre plan just as well as we have to pre plan for our day. When that day comes in. It comes for all of us. This is why it's necessary for each and every one of us. Each and every one of us to have a life insurance policy, you know, isn't important, absolutely is important with the rising cost of funerals today. I mean, the funerals today is extremely expensive. average costs 15. Average cost could be up to 15 to $20,000. I'd say that again. The average costs could be as high as $20,000. That's a lot of money. And Where's that coming from?

Unknown Speaker 14:54
Where is it coming from? And guys, I've heard you say this before you say it away. I don't care what they

Unknown Speaker 15:00
do with my body, they can do whatever they want. You know, I'll say that, because what you're saying is I don't care how financially I lead my family. I don't care how financially how it's going to devastate them. The fact that, you know, I'm gone, I'm not coming back, but financially devastated because you know, when you leave that paycheck and leave, or the paycheck is reduced down, now your spouse has has to survive on a reduced income coming in, or that income is completely gone. Now, the life insurance policy is not going to replace you. But it makes it a lot easier for your finances. My name is Don Marquez, let me take you to the step by step process, we'll find your life insurance policy that you can afford, you cannot be without life insurance with the rising cost of funeral today. And you know, and continue your lifestyle. Not once you pass away, and your spouse is left behind, and your income is reduced. Because you know, let's say your retirement income is reduced. Your brand is not reduced, gasoline is not reduced, the cost of living is not reduced to half. Sometimes, you know, sometimes those those benefits are reduced to half. And how do they expect your spouse to survive on a reduced benefits, especially when you're at an age, you've either you've already retired, you know, you've already retired, you're all set. But you didn't pre plan. You did not pre plan. And I've seen it many, many times in my career where

Unknown Speaker 16:34
you know, they have to sell the house, sell a car, sometimes jewelry, heirlooms with a life insurance policy, you pass on generational wealth, instead of generational debt.

Unknown Speaker 16:47
Generational debt in the United States is about $60,000 per family.

Unknown Speaker 16:52
$60,000 per individual passing on that debt, we're talking about credit cards, if you have $15,000 worth of credit card debts, that's added up real quick $15,000 worth of credit cards, who's gonna pay those credit cards off, you have a car payment, you have a balance on your car, another $20,000 So with the $15,000 credit card $20,000 loan on your vehicle, you up to $35,000 That was real quick.

Unknown Speaker 17:21
$35,000 Now we have to pay for this very expensive funeral. That's another $15,000. So now we have $50,000. Remember, 15,000 for the credit card $20,000 for the car loan $15,000 for the federal services,

Unknown Speaker 17:39
grip $15,000. It doesn't take long to get there. It does not take long to get there. And then there's still living expenses, because the power bill is still coming in and the gas bill is still coming in the mortgage, the rent is still coming in. You know when families are devastated. This is what they have to do. They have to liquidate everything and also file bankruptcy. One of the leading causes of bankruptcy in the United States is because of the death of a loved one you did not pre plan. Now if you have HBO cable TV and and all these channels with no life insurance, we need to have a conversation. Because the priority is you know, we need life insurance. I mean those all those premium channels, I don't have them because they don't make sense to me. They don't because they repeat the same programs over and over again. Is you know when I grew up in Vegas, we only had a few channels. We it was channel will channel three, Channel Five, channel eight, and channel 13 Oh and channel 10. So we have five channels. And they all went off at midnight. It was funny watching TV net midnight come in right after the late news, TV go off. But that was in you know this now it's another world now. TV used to be free television used to be framed television now costs as a utility. They've created a utility with your television. And I know people to pay well over $300 A month because they have all the channels. You know I like watching TV. This is one of the things I enjoy doing. But come on out, read a book, take a walk, you know turn the television off. But if you spend $200 or more for television, there are alternatives. You know you can reduce that down. Get you a life insurance policy you can afford a life insurance policy. For more information. My contact phone number is 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 located on the corner, Sahara Rancho. In the US bank center, eighth floor again. Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there for everything that you do. You have the heart and soul I don't have my mom when she's no longer with us. She she passed away in two

Unknown Speaker 20:00
111 And I think about her all the time, and especially days like this. However, you know, it is what it is. And fortunately, when she did pass, you know, everything was taken care of she had a life insurance policy. I mean, everything was taken care of. So, you know, because we pre planned, we had a conversation, we pre planned to make sure everything was going to be okay. I've had experience, knowing what it feels like to receive a benefit, losing a loved one hurts, lose, losing a loved one hurts, but I know what it's like to receive a death benefit. It continued my lifestyle when I lost my wife. And I'll get a little personal because it is, it is Mother's Day, and I can share this information with you. It does get a little personal expressing on certain days of the year. And I think back, you know, when we plan, we plan to well, because when my own I lost my wife and 2018 I didn't have to sell my house. I didn't have to get rid of my cars. I didn't have to file bankruptcy. You know, those things I did not have to do my lifestyle continue. It allowed me time to just breathe, just to grieve, just to breathe, and grieve. You know, many, many of you who don't pre plan, don't really have time to grieve.

Unknown Speaker 21:21
You don't, because you have to just deal with the financial, you know, part of losing a loved one. No one lives forever. No one lives forever. That's the fact. And the cost is rising every six months, the costs of funeral services are rising every six months.

Unknown Speaker 21:41
I'll make sure you have enough life insurance to cover these very expensive final expenses. 702-236-2624 702-236-2624. You know, families get together on days like this, let's have a conversation with your children. I know it's Mother's Day and

Unknown Speaker 22:05
tell them we need to talk about this. Are you over here now? We're glad you came over to see me but you know, I just need to go over. This is where my life insurance policy is this in the top drawer right next to the Sox or wherever you want to put it. This is my life insurance policy. This is it these these are my individual beneficiaries or my beneficiary. And if you lose your primary beneficiary, you know you need to contact your life insurance company and get a change of beneficiary form. Now a change of beneficiary form, they'll mail you the form you fill it out, send it back in for the new primary beneficiary and how do you lose your beneficiary husband and wife perfect example.

Unknown Speaker 22:47
The husband passed away. The wife was the wife has her policy. The the husband was a primary beneficiary on on the wife's policy. Now she's still living he passed away. There's no contingent beneficiary meaning that no other beneficiary to move it in the primaries position once the primary beneficiary passed away, so there's no beneficiary. The wife passes away, this happens quite often, the policy goes into probate.

Unknown Speaker 23:17
Now you know my mom has a life insurance policy. So we can get mom's life insurance policy and take care of his very expensive funeral. And these other bills we have to take care to his will find out mom did not take that off the life insurance policy as a beneficiary. Dad died years ago. And Dad's name is still on its primary beneficiary.

Unknown Speaker 23:37
In this country, it happens all the time. It happens all the time. And it devastates families, because that money is tied up in the probate. You have to hire lawyers, you got me you got to go through a lot of expense. To get those benefits paid out. Maybe the first again, every insurance company is a little different. And every state is a little different when it comes to the laws. Now fortunately, I am licensed in the state of California if you're listening to this program, and you are visiting or you live in California, because k u and v we broadcast everywhere. I am licensed now in the state of California, as well as in Nevada to offer you a life insurance home auto insurance 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 My name is Don Marquez. This is your insurance connection. You know we can make your policies affordable. fit in your budget, you can select a due date between the first and the 28th of each month, you pay the monthly premium.

Unknown Speaker 24:41
Monthly, you pay it monthly or you can pay it annually or semi annually or quarterly if you choose to do so. If you have a child is 17 and younger we can add that child loan as a child writer, and that child will spin off on his own life insurance. Once that person turns 25 years young. You know we'll make it

Unknown Speaker 25:00
Affordable you tell me how much you can afford to pay a month. I'll put that information into my computer, okay, you can afford this much money per month, we'll put it in the computer and the computer will tell us how much life insurance you can get based on your age. You know, whether you're a smoker, nonsmoker and your medications that you take 702 to 3626247022362624 just to give you a heads up you know, maybe you need to change water clock.

Unknown Speaker 25:35
You're watering clock because the you know, temperatures getting ready to change. We're getting ready to go into June. I can't believe it. I love I love January to this time of the year because the weather's nice. Come June, July, August. You know, if you've been in Vegas for a while you know what's going to happen? The furnace is getting ready to turn up. But you need to change your water and clock. No water, no Sundays, none zero, because you could get a very healthy fine from the water district. So keep that in mind. Change your water and clock. And if no future I may just get rid of my grass altogether because the my rabbits in my yard just they just they don't even run for me anymore. They just look at me and chew up my grass and leave holes in it. You know, and I wish the association was say something to me. Because I say you get rid of the rabbits and I won't have holes in my on my lawn. I keep my lawn well manicured. Well, my gardener does. But you know, I noticed the other day I'm sorry, getting brown spots because of rabbits. Instead of eating a little off the top and move on to another location on the grass. They're just starting to eat the grass down to the roots. So it's like they're killing off their own food supply. But they're getting a little greedy because there's so many rabbits in my community and people like Oh, they're so cute. They're so cute. They were cute at first but they're starting to get a little annoying. I have cottontails in my community they're just hopping along everywhere and they don't even feel threatened. You know when I look at him and get close to him they just look at me and chew and just keep on chilling like what do you want man? You're disturbing me.

Unknown Speaker 27:07
Vegas has changed quite a bit. Vegas has changed. I mean we used to be a big desert and I will say we still a large desert but it's you know it's all a different place to live and I love it. You know we have so much to offer. We have the lady aces. The Aces basketball team, the Golden Knights, Raiders.

Unknown Speaker 27:27
We have so much to offer him Vegas if you just visiting Vegas initial first time it Welcome to town. It's an exciting place to be always something going on never boring, boring moment in Las Vegas, Nevada. And gamble. Don't drink too much. And you know if you do win some money, congratulations. But I just want to let you know this time is not built on winners.

Unknown Speaker 27:50
My name is Dan Marquez, this is your insurance connection. Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there. Enjoy your day you will deserve it. You will deserve this pair very special day. We'll do this again next week from 8am to 830. And to then just keep it crispy. Thank you for listening
