Good morning. My name is Donald Marquez. Welcome to another edition of your insurance connection, broadcasting, right here at KU env, 91.5 jazz and more. Early Sunday morning, from 8am to 830 I know it's early, y'all, but it's all good. You know, the weather's getting better. We can get up have a nice cup of coffee, or whatever you like to have in the morning tea. And me see you're gonna have your favorite beverage in the morning. And listen to me talk about the valuable information I talk about all Sundays at 8am to 830 and we're talking about insurance. Yes, that's what I do. I'm an insurance broker right here in Nevada and also California, giving you valuable service to people that need the service, and you all need insurance, because when you have insurance, you know you can contact an insurance agent. And I've had this conversation many times with my clients. You know, they call one 800 insurance, no matter what you're looking for, and you receive a customer service person on the phone. And when you try to to ask questions, you know, they're pretty much order takers. They don't really get personalized. They don't actually a lot of questions. They have a script. They go by and they ask you the pertinent questions they need to know. Okay, this is your price for your insurance, no matter what it is, no matter what product it is, they just have a script, line by line, okay, yes or no, what car you own, what your date of birth, your address, zip code, blah, blah, blah, blah, nothing personal. Hey, Mr. Jones, how you doing today? You know, where were you born? You know, I have conversations like this with my clients. You know, when a client come to see me, it's a point more of a personal, you know, appointment, we we talk a little bit about each other. I let people know about me, they tell them a little bit about themselves, and then we get right down to it. It does make a difference. It does make a difference when you have a personalized relationship with your clients, no matter what profession you're in, it does make a difference. But you know, when people get on the phone and they're looking for the lowest cost insurance possible, keep in mind, you get the lowest service possible. Okay, so when something comes up and you need immediate service, you need that personalized information, that one 800 individual you spoke with the first time, and you probably had a great conversation, no problem. You probably, oh, this is a great price. I bought the insurance, but you're not going to get that person again ever. You're not, you know, you can call, call, call, Hey. Well, you know, I did. I had a I had a conversation, and this person was really great on the phone. I forgot their name, you know, we talked a little bit, gave me a grade raid, and I would like to talk to that person again, because I have some matters of concern I need to go over with about my insurance, regardless of the product, that person is not available. That person is not available. This is the difference. This is the difference between me and a one 800 insurance agent. The problem with the one 800 insurance agents, they they're all over the country, or it could be in another part of the world. You never know, because a lot of this information is outsourced to to resources on other countries, and they they write your insurance, and you know, you never see them, you never hear about them. You don't know they don't have an office. But this is why it's it's good to have an insurance agent like myself to get the personal attention that you need, you know, because you do need personal attention when you're spending the amount of money, spending every single month for insurance, don't, don't you deserve an insurance agent. You do to go over your concerns if you get in a car accident, who do I call? You call that one 800 number. You're gonna get bounced around a lot. You got one 800 this stranger, that strange you're going to talk to when you have a personal insurance agent like myself. You know, you can contact me directly, and I'll tell you exactly what to do. That's That's simple. It's easy, easy to understand. And does it cost more to have an insurance agent? No, it does. Not, it's the same fee the companies that I represent, they represent too, as well. I mean, we only have a handful of companies that we can offer nationwide anyway. I mean, it just, it's, that's the facts. You know, I represent 48 states in our United States, I can write insurance in 48 states for car insurance and homeowners. Some states, I can't write homeowners because Florida, you know what's going on in Florida? California is a little tough writing homeowners in California because of the fires, the earthquakes, Vegas. You know we can write homeowners in Vegas, Reno. I mean, it's all over Nevada. Definitely all over Nevada. Homeowners, auto. But some states have these, you know, consistent. You know, they're consistent with the weather, the earthquakes. And you know, companies do have the right to to not offer insurance in those parts of the country. Or if they do offer it, it's very expensive. Fortunately for me, I'm licensed in California and Nevada for life insurance, auto insurance, homeowners, boat, motorcycle, but I can offer auto insurance in other states throughout the country. My name is Donald Marquez. This is your insurance connection. My contact phone number 702236262470223626241,

362624, location on the corner of Sahara Rancho in the US. Bank Center, located on the eighth floor. My business hours are Monday through Friday, from 10am to 5pm now, where is us? Bank center, right on the corner of Sahara Rancho. If you live in Las Vegas, everybody know where Sarah Rancho is, right across the street from the Palestinian hotel. And I see a lot of you going over there making your football bets. Good luck. A little bit of a crazy season. But you know, hey, if you can win, win. I stopped betting long time ago. I mean, I just I make personal bets every blue moon, little, small, fun bets, but that's like, only when Super Bowl is around, or, you know, the Rose Bowl or something like that. But nothing serious, nothing at all serious every week, putting them in my bets and just getting disappointed every week. And the casinos love it. They do, oh, they come again. I don't like the I don't like the point spread. You know, when they you know, your team can win, you can still lose. I don't like that. I don't and then if you do a straight up bet, whether win or lose, you don't make much money. So it's just good for me. I was born and raised in Las Vegas. I've seen people lose their fortunes, lose everything behind gambling. If you do have a gambling problem, please seek help. Or if you have an alcohol problem, please seek help. My name is Don Marquez. I'm a licensed insurance broker. I have a personalized service that I offer my clients for auto insurance, homeowners insurance, yes, and life insurance. We all need life insurance. We all will have a final expense. One day, someone is going to be responsible for our final expenses, or you can be responsible for your final expenses today and stop procrastinating about okay, I need to take care of this. Oh, I don't want to talk about it. Let's stop making excuses. Every day we wake up, we have an opportunity to change things in our lives. Every single morning you get a restart. Every day you get a restart. And don't kick the can and say, I'm gonna do it the first of the year. What difference does it make whether you do it the first of the year you do it now, I know the holidays are coming up, but they're just around the corner, and now is the time to act, instead of being procrastinating about doing things the first of the year. You know what happens the first of the year? First of the Year, New Year's come around. Everybody's celebrating awesome new year. We have an election season going on right now, and we don't know how that's going to turn out. You know, all people wound up about that right now, but that will pass, and we have to move on with our lives, regardless of who wins the election. We have to move on with our lives, and we have to protect our families. We do have to protect ourselves our families, because when that day comes, and it does come for all of us, do your family have the financial resources to pay for your final expense? Every single person will have a final expense. It just, it's just a matter of time, and everyone has a time, and our clocks are ticking every single day, what are you going to do? What is your family going to do if there's no money available to take care of your final expense? Now, when I mean final expense, I mean, you know, paying for a very expensive funeral, very expensive funeral that costs anywhere today from 15 to $20,000 cremations with a ceremony, or running anywhere from six to eight to $10,000 with a crypt, because people understand, well, you know, I want to be cremated. That's really inexpensive. Yeah, it can be without a ceremony. And let's break it down with these cremations, because I have clients come, come to me, and it's, well, you know, I've heard a cremation only cost, what it costs. And. And it's low unless, yeah, but what do you want to what do you want to put the urn? Huh? They don't think that far. They just think a cremation is less than $3,000 okay, and it could be less than $3,000 but what if people don't want to, and you ask your loved ones, do you want to put the urn in the house? No, I don't want to earn in the house with the ashes on the urn. It's kind of creepy. That's what people some people say, sometimes, nah, I don't want to earn so now you need to buy a crypt or a grave site to put the urn in, and that cost money. So now the cremation was less than $3,000 let's say on today's prices, with no ceremonies, just a Direct Cremation. That's what we're talking about here. Okay? Because I've heard people come in my office and they have this, you know, okay, it only cost this much. I've heard it only costs this much, and that is a possibility. However, family members don't want to keep your urn in the house. Now, you need a Crip with the name plate on it, the little flower stand to put the flowers in and the eye level with the Crips as they put your, your your urn in the vault, and they close, seal it up, close it up, put your name plate on there. And people, your family members, come in there. Put flowers on their special occasions, or they don't come at all. You know how they go. But your remains are there. Your ashes are there in the end of Vault, and you earn, they don't want to put it in the house, and that costs money. Who's going to pay for that? Now let's, let's fast forward after that's done. Now we have rent to pay. Now we have a mortgage to pay that you left behind. Right? You left those bills behind, because we all leave some type of responsibility behind. These are final expenses. These are final expenses that your family will have to take care of. You know, financially and sometimes, unfortunately, family members don't have time to grieve because they have to go take care all of this business that you did not take care of or you didn't tell them where you know the life insurance policy is. You didn't put their name on the savings account, the checking account. They have no access to your finances. That's unfortunate. And then if there's a House involved, and this happens all the time, if there's a House involved, you didn't put anyone on the deed because you're the last survivor on your home, whether whether you have a mortgage or not, you didn't put anyone on your deed. You didn't have a will. You didn't have a trust. Now your house goes into probate. These are things that happen every single day with all families. You may have the best intentions in the world for your family members to inherit your house, your money in the bank, whatever your assets are you leave behind. But if there's nothing written written down, how are they going to receive these assets? How are they going to receive the assets of a home? If no one has a if no one has access to your checking account, banking account, mortgage information, no will, no trust and No, no one is on the home for right or survivor. Think about these things. I can help you in the process. This one I talked about earlier, the personal touch. I'm a licensed insurance broker, but I have contacts with paralegals attorneys that can help you set up a will, a trust, and you can put your life insurance policy in the trust. For instance, for an example, if you have a $300,000 life insurance policy, you take out a $300,000 life insurance policy, and you don't want your loved ones to get all the money at once, just immediate money to take care of the final expenses. Now, I'm not an attorney. I'm in a licensed insurance broker. I can offer you the policy. If you qualify for the policy, I can offer you the policy. You put the policy in the trust, the life insurance policy, and the trust, and you know, you get your beneficiaries receive an immediate disbursement, and over time, they receive the balance of the face amount of the policy through the trust. This is the way you ensure that you're not going to blow the money in no time. Usually, when people get 300,000 or whatever the face amount is, or the life insurance policy, that money goes very quickly. It goes very quickly. Now, I've heard people come in well, you know, I want that mortgage protection insurance. Oh, wait, that is so misleading.
Unknown Speaker 14:30
It really is, because most, most of you, probably won't want to pay that payment if you have a $500,000 mortgage. Now you want mortgage protection, man, if you if you're healthy enough to qualify good but you know that mortgage protection is really, it's a it's around people. It's focused around people, probably in the mid 30s, mid 40s, you know, because it is a 30 year term policy, that's what it all it is. Now I don't offer those mortgage protection policies because with. Mortgage protection does. As your mortgage decreases, so does the facing amount of the mortgage protection now your payment stays the same, but as your mortgage decreases, the face amount of that mortgage protection policy also decreases. Now you still making making the same payment over a 30 year period. Now, all of a sudden, your mortgage goes down to zero, the face amount of the policy also go down to zero, and you're still making the same payments. I don't think that's fair. Now, if you're going to make that payment every month, why not and you pass within 30 years now your family members, I'd rather have that face amount stay the same and the payments stay the same for 30 years on a term policy. This is why it's important to have a personal relationship with an insurance agent to know exactly what you what you're getting. Now, when I offer policies to my clients, and they and they qualify for the policies once they receive the policies in the mail, or when I receive the policies, because there are times when they said, Well, no, you let the policy come to you in the mail, and then once you receive it, we'll go over the policy. I'll come back in your office and go over it. But there are many times where the customers want to receive the policy in the mail, and whatever it is they need to do with the policy. Maybe they need to go over with their family members. Maybe they just want to have it in their possession, and that's fine. Eventually you will have it in your possession. But the thing for me is, once you receive your policy, once I offer your policy, I want you to bring your policy in and let's sit down and have a conversation and go over the policy line by line so you fully understand what you qualify for. Now, a lot of times too, when you come in the office, I give you a quote based on every all the information you provide tuning what type of medications you take, you know your medical history, and sometimes there is a physical in some policies, sometimes they're not. But this is why it is important to have a personal touch, a personal relationship with a licensed professional insurance agent like myself. I come on the air right here. Kumd 91.5, jazz and more every Sunday morning, from 8am to 830 I am here for you. My contact phone number, 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 if you've never had a licensed professional insurance agent as a personal agent, it's an experience. And when people walk away from my office, they're like, wow, you know you you give out a lot of information. I heard you on the radio over at 91 590, 1.5 and you give out a lot of information. But it's so much more than the 30 minute time that is allowed on this radio spot, because I have so much more information to offer you. When you come in my office, I can't do it all in 30 minutes on the radio show. I just can't do it all in 30 minutes because everyone is different. Everyone is different. You may or may not qualify. I've heard this before. Well, you know my neighbor, my neighbor only pays so much for car insurance. My neighbor only pays so much for life insurance. I don't know why your neighbor is providing all this personal information to you, because you're not your neighbor, and your neighbor is not you. Your neighbor is not a licensed insurance professional, and the people telling you, you paying too much, you're paying and you think you're paying too much. This is why you want to talk to a licensed professional insurance agent this. This is one of the reasons why the insurance companies have us as representatives of not only for their insurance company, but also representing you two as well. We're in a fiduciary position of trust. You know, I don't. I don't offer any advice that to people that's fictitious. I just don't. I just tell you like it is. Sometimes people willing to accept it once, sometimes they're not. I'm a straight shooter. I just tell it like it is. Hey, we this is the price this. You have tickets, you have accidents or or, you know, your health is you have diabetes, you have lupus, you have cancer. These are the policies that we can offer you based on your health. And, you know, sometimes people say, oh, you know, I thought I could do I want more. It's always more or less. You know, I want more life insurance. But if you have health conditions, diabetes, lupus, cancer, heart disease, liver disease, kidney disease, family members or yourself with Alzheimer's or dementia, I do have a life insurance policy for you, AIDS, HIV. I have a life insurance policy for you, 70223626247022362624
Unknown Speaker 19:40
22362624, even if you have a family member with multiple sclerosis, MS, autism, I can get a license from assurance policy for you. I'm a licensed agent, and I and I take on some of the difficult policies, because there are people out there like yourself just listening to this person. Program with what health conditions you have been turned down by previous life insurance companies because you apply for the wrong company for the wrong product, and it happens all the time. This is not your fault, but you have to have a clear understanding once you go on the line or one 800 insurance one box does not fit all, and don't get deceased by all these gimmicks on the television. 999 it gets you, you know, your price, to as low as 999 Okay, come on now, you know that's not even realistic. Now that's the that's a good hook to call. And when they tell you the real price, you're going like, Oh, wow. And sometimes there is a two or three year wait period on some of these policies. Depends on your age, you know, depends on your health. But we do make it easy. You know, two or three years go by quick, if that, if that's the category you fit in, because you've been turned down and you have underlying health conditions now, and you're under age 50 now, if you have lupus, cancer, heart disease, you know, sometimes you could qualify for day one insurance. It just depends on how long ago you had your heart, heart condition, or whether you have a defibrillator or your blood thinners, lupus, cancer, diabetes, multiple sclerosis. You know, I've heard it all. I've heard it all, and I've insured most people with these diseases, these, this unfortunate health disease that you may have, heart disease, liver disease, kidney disease, that is, you know you're taking medication for, but don't give up. I can find a life insurance policy for you to take care of those filing expenses that I spoke about earlier in the program. My name is Donald Marquez. This is your insurance connection. 702-236-2624, 702-236-2624, I come on the air so you can understand, I'm here for you. I'm all I've always been here for you. For the last 28 years, I've been a licensed insurance agent in the state of Nevada. Just a quick snapshot about my history. Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, I got into the insurance business, and in 1990 1996 when I took my license, I'm a Veteran. I'm licensed insurance agent 1996 and every day since 1996 I've been getting up out of my bed, getting ready, going to my office, and thinking positive about, how can I help the next person with their insurance concerns, 702-236-2624, my name is Donald Marquez. I'm located on a corner Sahara Rancho in the US bank center located on the eighth floor. I work by appointment. My business hours are Monday through Friday, from 10am to 5pm and there are some Saturdays I will come in by appointment. All my all my schedules are by appointment. But you know, sometimes Saturdays, people don't work during the week and they can only can come in on a Saturday. I don't work on Sundays because, like you, I like to spend time with my family, and I'm home watching football on Sunday, especially this time of the year, 702-236-2624 let me, let me. Let's sit down have an insurance review. It's not that difficult, and it only takes about an hour of your time. Now, if you can't make it into the office, you can always text me. 702-236-2624, or, you know, or we can do everything over the phone. Set up an appointment and we could do everything over the phone. I rather meet you when it comes to life insurance, a lot of auto insurance quotes, homeowners quotes, renters insurance. I do all those over the phone. In most cases, you don't need to come in. I just ask for the pertinent information that I need. And if you have water losses on your home or your property, and your insurance company is non renewing you because you've had multiple losses in a period of a year or two, there are companies out there. I don't care how long you've been with them. If you've had multiple losses, you know, they're gonna, they're gonna non renew your policy. And I get those, I get those insurance come in sometimes, and they're a little disheart about companies they were with for many years, and all of a sudden, you know, we had a water loss, and and then we had another loss, and then we had another loss. So you had three losses in five years, or two losses in five years. And also, you've been with the farm for, okay, 30 years, but now the farmers no longer want your business because you've had a couple of losses. That happens a lot. I get people calling me that been with the farm and, you know, all of a sudden, now the farm doesn't want you anymore. And they just don't understand why I do because it's called underwriting guidelines. If you've had so many losses with within a certain period of time, they do not want your business anymore. They'll pay the claim, and they'll say, Okay, thank you so much. It's been fun, but you know, we're not we're non renewing your policy, thanks a lot, but there is a five year wait period between losses. People don't understand that there is a five year wait period. This is why it's important to have an insurance agent, because we know the underwriting guidelines, what companies are looking for they will write and what companies won't write because of the underwriting guidelines. We go by what we call underwriting guidelines. Now, if you have a car, certain type of vehicle, we may or may not write it because Honda Hyundais and kiaz, you know, I'm starting to see them loosen up a little bit on the Hyundais and the kids, they're starting to accept the risk more. However, if you, if you just went out and purchased a Hyundai and the Kia, you're gonna find your race maybe a little bit more than normal, because of the theft rate on the Hyundais and the Kias. But you know, and the reason why is because someone went on Tiktok and showed people how to steal these cars with your cell phone. Not only open them up, but start them up and drive them off. It happens. Happened to my daughter. She bought a Hyundai, brand new Hyundai. She had about two weeks. Someone you know, opened it up, started it up with their cell phone, and took off with it. Fortunately, she recovered it, and there was no damages. I guess some, you know, there was a joy ride there. But, but, you know, and insurance companies what they look they look at that and say, Well, you know, the theft rate is a little high with the Hyundais and the Kias. So we're gonna back up until they repair their technology. And that's all it is, you know, technology that needs to be repaired. If you do have a Hyundai, IKEA, I encourage you to contact your dealership to see if you need to bring your vehicle in to get the updated programming. So you know that will not affect you if someone tries to take your vehicle, and you know it's very disheartened. You could be in church and come out of church and your cars go. They don't care where you are, they'll take your car. It happened, you know, it happened to my son. He was driving my truck. He was at the gym, and someone tried to steal a car. A couple months later, he go to see his attorney for some attorney business, and they, they took the truck. It was my truck. I was letting him drive it. They took the truck, no matter what I mean. And he, I think he was in Green Valley somewhere, you know. But it happens. It happens all over the city and Vegas, we have some of the highest vehicle theft rates. And, you know, we're up there. That's why, that's one of the reasons, among many reasons, why our car insurance rates are what they are. They're just a little high. You know, if I had people come to me, and, you know, they come from the Midwest, in the middle of middle small town, Midwest town, town, and they think the car insurance rates will be a lot lower here than some little small town in the Midwest. Now, more than likely, your car insurance rates are going to be a lot lower coming from friendly, friendly city in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of in the Midwest. So you know, you know what I'm talking about, these little small towns people come from, and they come to Vegas. I said I thought my car insurance would be a lot less. I hit I hear that all the time. We can be very competitive when it comes to car insurance rates. I look I shop for you. I'm a licensed broker. I represent multiple companies for auto insurance, homeowners life insurance, 702-236-2624, 702, I 236, 2624 we all will have a final expense. Someone has to pay for it. Either you pay for it now a little bit at a time, or your family member is going to be devastated when that time comes. And it does come for all of us and now they need to take care of your financial responsibility, paying for your funeral, paying for your other responsibilities, rent, mortgage, car payments, car loans, car insurance, utility bills. These are final expenses. Let's have a conversation. Let's be proactive and not reactive. 702-236-2624 70223, 620, 626, 24 My name is Donald Marquez. We'll do this again next week. Until then, just keep it crispy.
