Good morning in Las Vegas, Nevada and all the surrounding communities. My name is Donald Marquez, I'm an insurance agent that comes on the air right here at K u and v 91.5. Jazz and more and educate you on insurance, I just want to thank the management staff for this amazing opportunity and my engineer West, keeping the time track for us. And you know, and right now we have our fundraiser going on, please give it to 2k u and v 91. Point jet jazz and more because we do need the money to keep programming on like this. And to pay our staff and management overhead K u and v 91. Five jazz and more on my radio program, we broadcast right here from 8am to 830. Every Sunday morning, and enjoy the program, I want to thank the listeners that have kind called me and came in my office. And we sit down with them with their auto insurance concerns their life insurance concerns, and the homeowners concerns. You know, it's amazing. When people listen to the program, I don't know, it's Sunday morning. And you know, you have a lot to do on Sundays, or relax or you're just taking in, you know, your Sunday morning and having breakfast. But when it comes to Monday, that's when we have to go into business mode. You know, you can contact me on the Sunday, it's okay at 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 of what I can say Monday is when we take care of business, if you want to call me in on Monday, that's fine, we'll book you an appointment to come in, I do not charge a fee to come in to see me. A gentleman named Paul came in last last week and he was very excited, we took care of business Thank you, Paul for your your support, I just want to point you out because he said listen to the program every week. And he's been listening to me for quite some time. So he said, You know, I'm finally gonna come in and, and sit down and talk to him and he pulled the trigger. And I'm most happy to give him what he asked for. And he was very pleased with the service. And you could do the same to, you know, among many members that listen to this radio program over the last couple of years have come in and you know, we've talked about the insurance, and you should be concerned about your insurance i i charge no money for a review of all your insurance policies that will review the home the auto the life insurance. And you know, I know at home or owners insurance of most people have that. And you know, we can try to save you money on the auto insurance that we do comparable rates, you know, and see where you are now if you would accompany and your rates are pretty decent. Well, you know, I'll tell you stay there. However, if we can save you some money through our snapshot programs, and that means all your information will be on your telephone, you can make any changes with the snapshot on your auto insurance, you can make changes today and today's technology. If you own on a weekend and you buy a car on a weekend and you know I'm off on the weekends, right? As your insurance agent or you know and you want to buy a car and I'm off on the weekends. What you could do with the snapshot program on your phone. You just go right to your phone, the car you're trading in, you could take it off your snapshot, you could pull up your application, you could pull up your policy on the phone, take off your trade in and put your brand new car own with the via vehicle identification number and you have your ID card instantly. And this costs you nothing. The snapshot program is a discount with most auto auto insurance carriers that I carry, it is a discount. Now of course your your monthly payment if you if you make monthly payments on your auto insurance policy. It'd be automatic withdrawal from your checking account preferably or a debit card. However debit cards do expire. You know and sometimes it could cause your policy to lapse. Especially when it comes to life insurance. We prefer a checking account information because they don't expire. But your your debit card, sometimes they get lost, misplaced stolen, or you know or just they expire and what happens is now your card has expired. Your due date is coming up and now your policy lapse and that happens too frequently. But, you know, keep in mind, when you come to see me have your checking account read and account information ready to go because we'll set you up with automatic payments, whether it's auto home or life insurance. Now your homeowners insurance, usually our bill, your mortgage company, because your your mortgage company will send the escrow Bill once a year to the insurance company, they get paid in full, as you pay your house payments, a portion of that goes to your insurance, taxes, and a whole lot goes to an interest you know, that goes and a little bit amount goes to your principal until you pay it. And then for enough years to catch up with all that interest that we pay into our homeowners. But you know, you have to have insurance on your home. These are ways to manage your budget. You don't have to think about it, it's automatic, no need to put your car insurance, or your life insurance. On your To Do lists just automatic on life insurance, you can you can select the due date between the first and the 28th of each month, there is a direct monthly draft that comes directly out of your checking account. Or if you decide you want to pay it annually. You can buy payment methods, you can pay your life insurance once a year, or semi annual, you could pay it every six months, it's up to you. But most people prefer the monthly draft directly out of their checking account. That way they could budget a lot easier. Now with your life insurance policy, you want to put it in a safe place, I have a conversation with your family members. Where your life insurance policy is, with your life insurance policies. There is sometimes we can offer a final expense, a final expense wish list. Now what is a final expense wish list is a list, you put your name down, of course your address or social security number. And all this is important in your wish list. Because when that day comes and it comes for all of us, your family members are scrambling to get all your documents together with your my final expense whist list, it's a booklet you can put all your personal information and some people don't want to be cremated, or others do, you can put that also in your wish list and your booklet. So you have all your pertinent information, you can have your your your your name, or your parents in there to their place of birth, your mother's place of birth, or your mother's maiden name, because all this information is going to be needed at that time. And it comes for all of us when we pass away. You know, and there's so many times people pass away, not leaving any instructions behind. People don't know what to do. They don't know what to do. They're just first of all, they have to go through the grieving process, if that's even allowed, allowed. Because when I say it like that, when you don't have the finances in order, you don't have time to grieve. You're not allowing yourself that, that delicate time in your life, to just sit back and just, you know, honor your loved ones memory. But you have to go into financial mode, how you going to pay for this very expensive funeral? Don't let that happen to you. It happens every single day all over all over this country. I mean, people lose a loved one. They don't know what to do. They don't know what the policy is. They you know, they have no idea where the person want to be cremated. And that because the conversation kept being passed, you know, passed over? No, I don't want to talk about it right now. This is we tell our loved one. We don't you know, why are we talking about this? You know, I want to watch the game, stop putting it off, you know, have a conversation with your loved ones. Let them know where the policy is let them know who is the beneficiary of a life insurance policy. It's very important that, you know, we know who the beneficiary is, if you need to change your beneficiary. Yes, you know, have, if you need a change of beneficiary form, we can provide you with a change of beneficiary form to update your beneficiary. This happens when you lose a spouse or you lose your beneficiary. And you don't add another beneficiary and this happens all the time, your policy will go into probate, if there's no beneficiary when you pass away on your life insurance policy. Now, if you don't have life insurance, if you don't have life insurance, what are you going to do? What is your family going to do? What position are you putting your family in without a life insurance
Unknown Speaker 9:22
policy? Think about it. You may have money in the bank and you say you know well I have money in the bank, they can get the money out the bank. Now what if you're the only person name is on the account? It's gonna be very difficult for them to accept that access that money now maybe they can with a death certificate, but you're holding the process up. When I say people don't have time to grieve? Little things like this not putting anyone on your checking account, not putting one anyone on the deed of your home, not not having that conversation about where the life insurance policy is, or whether you have life insurance or not with your loved one. to have the conversation now, I've had Christine Bedard on my show. And she was on for last Easter. And we were having a conversation about a person had to go into a nursing home. What happens to your assets? You know, this is very important. This is why it's very important to get a Will or Trust. Christine Menard, she is a team member of your insurance connection. She can help you with a Will or Trust. That way every all your paperwork is in order. You know, it is always a pleasure when you know a couple come in. And they have all their paperwork in order and they want to make a review of their current life insurance policies to make sure that everything is in order. Because as we age, your life insurance policy could change your life insurer. I've seen a lot of life insurance policies, not to what I offer. But if you have a whole life a universal life insurance policy, you purchase it by way of mail, your life insurance policy could expire these 80. I've seen it a lot with companies that your life insurance policy could expire it at no AARP has policies out there. When you turn 80 years young, your life insurance policy expires. Keep that in mind. My contact phone number is 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 My name is Don Marquez, I'm a licensed insurance broker. Not only do I come on the air and educate you on insurance, but when you people come to my office, you know, you can purchase a policy through me. And once you receive the policy, the service starts after you receive a policy once you receive a life insurance policy, then we'll you'll call me and we'll make an another appointment. Come in. And we'll go over the life insurance policy line by line 702-236-2624 is my contact phone numbers again 702-236-2624, located right on the heart of a beautiful city, Las Vegas, Nevada, on the corner of Sahara Rancho and the US Bank Center, located on the eighth floor 702-236-2624. Now, if you can't call me, you can always text me. Maybe you're at work, and you're busy. You can text me I'll give you a call back. You tell me when I can call you back. And I'll put a book in for an appointment. My business hours are Monday through Friday from 10am to 5pm. And some Saturdays I will work and never work on Sundays. But Saturday will work I've had people call me on Sundays. But you know what wanting to change their car because they purchased a car over the weekend. They at the dealership, I'm at the dealership, I need to I need to get you know, I need an ID card. But it's Sunday. This is why as as I was speaking about earlier, it's good to have the snapshot. If you have the snapshot on your phone, you can go right to your policy make any changes you need, take that existing car off that you have that you're trading in and put the new vehicle on on the policy and you can produce your own identification card, very simple to operate. It's called a snapshot and it gives you a discount. It is good to have now when it comes to your life insurance. When it comes to life insurance, you know, you can now pull your policies up online with a life insurance policy. You know, we haven't made that available yet and in the life insurance industry, because that's a lot of valuable information on your life insurance policy. Even if you purchase a policy through me, I cannot pull the policy up. Or if you come in and say well, you don't have a life insurance policy. Well, let's say with a company, Mutual of Omaha, right. And that's one of the companies I do offer is Mutual of Omaha. I can't go to Mutual of Omaha and pull up your life insurance policy. If you want a life insurance review, you need to bring in your life insurance policy. So we can review the policy line by line now there's many times when I have to call in the life insurance policies to the customer service representative to check and see how much you still owe on your loan. When you take out a loan. On a life insurance policy. It does accumulate an interest, an interest on annual interest about seven or eight or even 9% interest on that life insurance policy that you know that money that you borrowed against that life insurance policy. Now if you haven't borrowed any money, you're in good shape. So your policy, the premium that you pay each month, if you have a whole life policy, for a universal life insurance policy or an index, you are creating a cash value asset term insurance is just straight death protection you can get up to 30 years. If up to now if a male is at age 58. You can get up 30 years if you're a non smoker. Let me say that again. Because I've had people call me to say I want to get 30 years on my life insurance on a term product. Now term is going to be your lowest cost life insurance. It really is you can get a lot of life insurance for low cost, but at age 58, that's the cutoff. Now, if you're 59, you probably can only get 20 years on the life insurance policy. If you are a smoker, they may reduce that down to 56 years on the 30 year term policy. For more information, my name is Don Marquez, my contact phone number is 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 located on the corner of Sahara Rancho, in the US bank center a for our work by appointment 702-236-2624. If you have young children under the age of 17, and under, we can add them on your life insurance policy as a child rider. Now, I know some of you like I did when I was when I had my my son, I bought a policy for him when he was very young. And I still have it today, of course, I pay the premiums, because I know he won't hope he's listening to as well. I know he won't, but I make the premium payments and one day I will give him the policy to pay. But if you've never had life insurance on your younger children, you can't add them on your current life insurance policy. Or when you get a new life insurance policy. We can add yours child on as a child right as long as they're 17. And under. Now, this is a don't. Now people do come to me from time to time. So I want to add my grandchildren on as my beneficiary. And the first question I ask how old are your grandchildren? Well, you know, they're very young, five, and six, you know, I have a couple of five and six year old grandchildren, I have a $20,000 life insurance policy. I don't want I want to make them, the beneficiary, my two young grandchildren, or your two young children. That's a bad idea. And the reason why that's a bad idea, because if you have a large life insurance policy or any life insurance policy, and when you pass away, and these children are still under the age of 18, that money is locked up until they turn 18 years on, it is put in a trust account until they turn 18. Now, if you have a substantial policy, let's say a $200,000. And you have two children on the policy, that means there was both received when they turn 18 years young $100,000 Now can you imagine 18 year old with $100,000 tax free benefit what they would do with that money. Now you may want that money to be put aside for the college education. You can always set that up through your trust if you want to do it that way. But if you don't have a trust or a will, and you want your life insurance policy, go to your grandchildren or your children, and they're under the age of 18. The money will be held in trust upfront with life insurance companies until they turn 18 years young. Now with your trust, you're gonna have a trustee, of course, that you know, make sure everything's taken care of. Once you receive your life insurance policy, gonna take it into your attorney and set that up. That's totally up to you. We cannot set that up initially. Your attorney can help you with that. My number is 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 My name is Dawn Marquez, I'm a licensed insurance broker right here in Las Vegas, Nevada. And again, I can't thank the listeners enough did who come in and take care of business and you know, get their life insurance policy. We also compare auto homeowners renters boats and motorcycle insurance, the weather's getting nice. So a lot of boat owners and motorcycle, motorcyclists out there if you want to make comparable rates on the ratio good paying now, you know my contact number is 702-236-2624 and again I'm on the corner Sahara in Rancho US bank center located on the eighth floor all roads leads his hair in Rancho is not hard to find across the street from the palace station Hotel and Casino. And now if you have a loved one what underlying health conditions and we're talking about diabetes, history of cancer, you know, Alzheimer's, dementia, liver kidney disease, we can get them a life insurance policy. Don't give up I know you've been turned down quite often. We can even if you take them blood thinners you have a stent in your heart, we can get you a life insurance policy at your insurance connection.
Unknown Speaker 19:17
You know we can get up to $15,000 in coverage. Now if you need more coverage. If you have stents blood thinner you'll if you have a stent in your heart, you're on a blood thinner, you have a history of heart disease, cancer. Now if you stage one stage two cancer with over 12 months to live, we can help you get a life insurance policy but people do have COPD or emphysema. You know that that's been turned down I have you know I have many customers come to me and say I'm a diabetic. You know, I'm a diabetic. I've been turned down several times for life insurance. What can you give me now with some some with some of the diabetics, we can get a larger life insurance policy maybe up to 35,000 or so. even higher, it just really depends, everyone is different. Everyone does not fit in the same box. Now, people that do fit in the same box are the ones that when it comes into mail, and you get this offer from a well known company, maybe it's your bank, your credit union, and they're offering you a life insurance policy in this. In this accidental only. Accidental only life insurance, you don't want to buy that. Accidental only life insurance means you have to pass away of an accident. Every day, it means funeral home, they see these policies all the time, I talked to the people at the funeral homes, because when you when you purchase a life insurance policy for me, I go to the funeral homes and get the price list at the funeral homes, what the funerals cost today. And the reason why I do that is because when you come in to see me and you haven't buried someone in a very long time in the last 20 years, well, last time we had a barrel, somebody was an Uncle Joe, that was 20 years ago, and his funeral costs was less than $7,000. But that was 20 years ago. The reality that all the funerals today, on the average cost about 15 to $20,000. Today, let me say that again. Okay, a funeral to bury your loved one. Today 15 to $20,000. That's a lot of money. I don't care how much money you have in a bank, that's a that's a load on your savings account. And if you don't prepare yourself, you may be the one have to go to your 401 K, you're saying savings account or max out your credit cards to take care of final expense. Why not pay for it a little each month, you know, the cost of a life insurance policies are really not that expensive. When it comes down to it, they're really not that expensive. Because what you're doing, you're purchasing money, I look at life insurance as a savings account. I do so if you go out and get your 100 $300,000 policy, and you pay a little bit on it every single month. And when you pass away, your family members receive that money tax free. They don't have to report it on the income taxes, all that money's there's tax free to take care of your final expenses to take care of other expenses that's gonna come in the mortgage. If you when you pass away, and you don't have a life insurance policy, you still have a mortgage. You know, you still have a mortgage over you rent, and you know, you pass away and you leave his spouse behind they have a rental payment. What if you own a car, and you still making payments on it? You still have to pay make payments on that car, whether you here or not. You know, I mean, it's it's gonna continue with a wave of expenses. The expenses continue to come in the water build the rent, the cable bill, I mean, the food, you have to buy food, what are you going to do with your family? What is your family going to do without you, you lose, they lose that income, and you're the income earner and there's no life insurance. You know, we can help you solve this problem. It is going to be a problem for your family. They even have us l good saver. If you say let's say $30,000. And you're 20 your funeral is $20,000. That's $20,000 out of your account. They only have $10,000 to live on. Is that fair to them? No. It's all our responsibilities to take care of families, whether we're here or not, I can help you 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 My

can help you. It's easy. It's not that difficult. Even you want to call me on a Sunday, that's fine. Just or just if I don't answer, just leave a message. And a lot of times I will answer, but it is my day off on the Sunday. Or you can call me that Monday morning. And we'll sit down and take care of business. Now with a life insurance policy. They are owners of a policy and then there's insurance. Now what is an owner? Now, I've had people come to me and say, you know my husband, especially the ladies, and I want to thank the ladies because they call me the most they'll call me and say you know what? My husband, he doesn't want to take out a life insurance policy. And he told me to do it. So what I said okay, no problem. So what will we do? We make the wife the owner, and the husband is an applicant. The wife is the beneficiary and the wife is the payer. Now, even if it's not your spouse, if you have a young child is out there or you know, an adult that has Alzheimer's or dementia. They cannot take out a policy for themselves. We do need someone else to own the policy and the pool of funds from someone else's account other than the person with Alzheimer's or dementia. We can not pull the policy out of the premiums out of their account because they have Alzheimer's or dementia. Now, that being said, you being the owner of the of the policy, you can answer all the health questions and with Power of Attorney, you can sign for your loved one. Yes, you can. So you are signed, the only signature is yourself. And then the abacus signature, you assign that individuals name. And then you'll put POA Power of Attorney. That is a legal document that makes the life insurance application legal to submit to our underwriting team for review. Now, once it is reviewed the policy the first premium is taken out, the policy is issued, it'll come to my office, I will contact you, you come in and get your life insurance. It will go over your policy line by line or, you know, we can simply mail you your policy directly to you. Then you pick up the phone and contact me and make up another appointment to come in to go over your policy line by line 702-236-2624 I get my phone number out a lot because people call me says Are they they finally get in touch with me? And they said, Well, you know, I didn't get their phone number down because I was driving. So I give it out quite a bit. We can help you with a life insurance policy. It is so important to have life insurance. I can't tell you enough. You know many times people go to these funeral homes and they're devastated. I mean, absolutely devastated with a cost today to bury a loved one now. If your loved one is a veteran at the Boulder City Cemetery, they will they will offer you the the plot the opening the closing the headstone, no charge to the veteran. Keep that in mind only in the Boulder City Cemetery. Now I know a lot of these cemeteries do have a veteran's port as section in the in the cemeteries. But only Boulder City will honor a veteran that don't have to pay for the plot. The headstone the opening and closing. That's a lot of money to say that's about today on average about $7,000 That's a $7,000 savings now if you only have a $15,000 life insurance policy, that automatically saved about $7,000 Now you have about $8,000 left to take care of those other finally well you have more money now to take care of other final expenses because you have 15,000 you minus out that plot you have $15,000 to take care of the ceremony and the other final expenses. These days will come for all of us stop kicking the can stop procrastinating and say you know what? I'm gonna call him one day I'd call him next week. I'm just finalizing my taxes I that the game is on do it next week. These are excuses we make all the time these are excuses we make out I stopped making excuses let's stop procrastinating let's stop procrastinating let's be more proactive than and then reactive. being reactive you do we get the hard reality. When you go to these funeral homes. You're gonna wish you had a life insurance policy. Call them up. If you take don't take my word call them up. Hey, I'm gonna do a funeral costs today. And they'll tell you oh 15 to $20,000 just depend on what you want. Now we can send a representative out there to talk to you. But you don't want to do that. You don't want to do that you can get a life insurance policy is going to be a lot less money in those pre D packages. 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 My name is Don Marquez.
