And you know, I want to thank the listeners that came in and purchased home auto and Yes, life insurance. Thank you so much for your continued support. This program is education program, to so you can better understand insurances. When it comes to life insurance, I talk about life insurance a lot on my program, because I find that that's what people need to know more about his life insurance. Now we all buy auto insurance, homeowners insurance, but I received more questions about life insurance and anything. People just don't quite understand it. There's a lot of moving parts with life insurance, different products, Term, Whole Life, universal life. But questions asked, well, when should I buy life insurance? Well, a good time is to purchase life insurance when you get married, as an excellent time to purchase life insurance, or you turn my bill in the family together. And you should ask your potential spouse or are you You know that? Do you have life insurance? Have you? Do you have life insurance other than your work? You should ask these questions before you get married? Do you have enough money to pay for your funeral? If you died today? Or you know, what will you put me in debt because you don't have any life insurance? These are questions you should ask before you get married, you know, and also you should know a person's credit score before you get married. I know we just celebrated Valentine's Day, within the last couple of weeks. But these are questions that people ask me. And yes, you should know a person's credit score before you get married because you don't want to marry a person and then they have their credit is not as good as yours. In other words, they have a lower credit score than you do that could bring down your credit. And you know, and always ask the right questions and feel free to contact me with any questions you may have at 702-236-2624 702-236-2624. I'm a licensed insurance broker right here in beautiful city, Southern Nevada, right here in Las Vegas, Nevada. I love it. This is my hometown. I was born and raised here. Went to school here. And you know, I love my city. I'm looking at it as a grown city. When I was growing up, we only had seven high schools look at it today. I'm telling my age a little bit, but it's okay. I'm not. I'm not ashamed of my age and my experience in life living here in Vegas. I joined the military went into the Air Force. I was going to UNLV I was a poor student at the time. And I went into my student union here at UNLV. And they had the Air Force there. They were last the Air Force. It was the Marines. It was the Navy army. But the Marines were first and I walked up to the marine table and I asked the you know the gentleman and in the uniform and so what do you what do you guys do? As a Marine? I see we're there for you. They're proud the Marines and that's it. Okay, but what do you do? I had no idea. I'm I'm a college student. But he had a really nice uniform. That's what attracted me to the Marines. And he said, Well, there's a conflict around the world. We're the first ones to show up The Few The Proud The Marines. And I said well, what what wouldn't military branch shows up last? And he said they have for us? And I said, Well, I'm gonna go to the Air Force. I don't want to show up first. I love my country, but I don't need it first. No way. Because they come off the island shooting and people get shot. And now I don't want to be I didn't want to be a Marine. So I was, I was in the Air Force. I served in the Air Force probably say, served in the Air Force as well. My job was in the Air Force to get airplanes in the sky. So I was an aircraft mechanic. But you know, that through life experience, I learned a lot and being in the military, and I want to thank our Veterans in it and people that serving in the military now because I know it's not easy, you spent a lot of time away from your family. And you know, when you come home, you glad to come home and see family members I was when I was in the military and send them a letter. You know, if you had what now you have cell phones, so you can kind of stay in constant contact back then we didn't have any cell phones. We always look forward for the male to come and get a letter in the mail or call home when we could. There was always an honor to, you know, call my family members and tell them what I'm doing. It was always interesting. What are you doing today? Well, I'm working on this airplane and it's cold outside, I'm stationed in Marquette, Michigan, if you ever lived in Marquette Michigan ever been there, this time of the year, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Wednesday, here in Vegas, it snowed a little bit, I was coming into the studio to pre record this show. And we have snow on the ground. Vegas is a we trying to get some four seasons, temporarily four seasons, I can I can just enjoy the weather we have I do enjoy the weather we have here. You know, 702-236-2624 is my number 702-236-2624. I'm gonna talk about a little life insurance. And then we're gonna go talk about the auto insurance too. Now with the life insurance. Buyer Beware, I received this information in the mail, just the other day is this is a contract, they wanted me to have their advertising for me to sign and to send it in. But you have to understand the policy. They're offered me from a well known insurance company. And they said, Okay, it's accident, life, and accident insurance. So in other words, it's accidental only life insurance. So they make it look like a real life insurance policy. But it's accidental only life insurance and it expires. At a certain time, they given me 20 years on a term, accidental only life insurance. Now for some of you, especially my seniors, that listening to this program, right now, you're targeted. To get this accidental only life insurance, you must understand that accidental life insurance does not pay for natural causes. If you pass away of natural causes, it does not pay for natural cause. I mean, if you have a heart attack, if you die, and you bypass when you sleep, it says accidental life insurance, you have to read the contract. I know when you get a certain age in life, that sometimes you may feel like well, you know, haven't done anything this came in the mail. This is nice. So okay, I can get a lot of insurance for very low cost. And my family members don't have to worry about putting me to rest. They don't have to go into debt. Putting me in arrest, I'll just fill this information out there is no physical required is a legal and binding contract. But you have to pass away as a result of an accident. Pure and simple. It says it in bold letters, accidental life insurance, do not get fooled by this, do not get fooled by this, you can't get $100,000 of life insurance and pay in less than $1 a day, it just doesn't work that way. And you're in your 70s It just doesn't work that way. You know, these companies, these life insurance companies make a lot of money of the accidental only product, because they don't pay out any claims. They don't you know, I am a professional insurance licensed insurance agent right here in the state of Nevada. I can help you make some good decisions when it comes to your life insurance. I'll find a policy that will fit in your budget. And don't be fooled by the commercials. rates start as low as nine 995 You've heard it before, right? But that's only less than $1,000 of coverage and maybe $1,000 worth of coverage. They're going to do anything today. Not much may buy flowers. That's about it. But the bright side is look at what it does it generates a phone call. So you make it you make that call to that company and say I want that 995 plan because you hear him saying on the commercials right? And I'm like that is so misleading but they wouldn't be on the commercials paying that commercial money. If it didn't work. It does work. It's called bait and switch so what they do they get you in They lure you in you make the phone call you give all your personal information over the phone and they said okay, no problem no No, no no physical no health exam. Everybody's guaranteed accepted. There is a two year or sometimes even a three year wait period. Right and you have to be 50 years old and older. So they will look at that will ask you certain questions about it. Whether you're a smoker, nonsmoker and where's my smokers? I get very few smokers calling me. I know you probably having a cigarette right now listening to this program. I get very few smokers calling me I don't know. Unless everyone that comes see me don't smoke.

Unknown Speaker 9:55
I don't know. But I would love for my smokers to pick up the phone and contact me at 702 12362624 everyone needs life insurance including new smokers out there. Now if you do smoke cannabis, we will not read to you as as a smoker if you only smoke cannabis. Now, keep this in mind when you go to the hookah lounges. Now, this is my younger audience. Of course. If you go to the Hookah Lounge is a smoke hookah that is tobacco in and I watch these people in the club, smoked the hookah and they inhale a lot of tobacco when they smoke this product, but that is putting tobacco in your lungs inside your body and your fatty tissues. You could come up as a smoker now you may occasion occasionally excuse me, occasionally smoke hookah but that is to flavored tobacco nice light and but it is flavored tobacco it has nicotine in it. Keep that in mind when you're smoking a hookah pipe. All right. Well, or if you have one of those inhalers, you know, the vape vape. The vape thing is a thing now, if it has nicotine in it, you could could be considered a smoker. Now, I don't want the smokers to panic. Talking about getting life insurance as a smoker, the younger you are better you are getting the life insurance policy. Smokers need life insurance too. Because you're putting yourself at risk. You're putting your family at risk without any life insurance. I represent 67 Life Insurance Company, I'll find a company that will fit in your budget 702-236-2624 My name is Donald Marquez. If you're just tuning in for the very first time, welcome to the show. Our broadcast right here K, you have the 91.5 Jazz and more Sunday mornings from 8am to 830. And I've been on the air now for about a year and a half going almost. And it's nice. It's nice to come to the studio and I see people I see some of the radio personalities that you hear on the station. I want to give my shout out to my engineer, West he's the best and you know keeping us locked in and timed on this radio program. To better on the bet help you better understand insurances. Now, what's your life insurance policy? If you currently have a life insurance policy, offer no obligation insurance reviews, you bring your life insurance policy. And if you haven't had a review in quite some time, no, don't ever take consideration. as well. I'm good. I've had it for a long time. Don't take that don't take that for granted. Things can change, your rate could go up. I've talked to many of you. And your rates are increasing as you get older, your rates are increasing and you don't understand why is my premium changing while my life insurance policy. Because as you age in life, it costs more money to insure you, although I know you so I've been paying on this policy for years. Why is it changing? There's a reason why it's called the illustration page, open up your life insurance policy. And look at the illustration page where there's term Universal Life or whole life if you haven't, if your premiums are changing, you know, we need to have a conversation, we need to sit down and have a conversation and see exactly why the premiums are changing. Now what they'll do, if you have a whole life or Universal Life, they'll take money from your cash value every month. So you can make up so the cash value will make up the premiums that you're supposed to pay. For an example. Let's say you're paying around $50 a month for your life insurance policy. And you purchase your policy, let's say 10 years ago, but now you're in your 70s, mid 70s. And you see your policy changed. Now you've had this policy for 10 years, but the rate is changing, because it costs more money to insure you, you could have they could have exhaust all your cash value to keep the policy active. I call these teaser rates, it happens all the time. So the adjustment they'll make Okay, so now you sit down about three or $4,000 in cash value. And they'll take a little money from your cash value every month along with your $50 payment that make up the difference in the premium you should be paying. That's called a target premium. Here's another one when you borrow money against your life insurance policy, there is about a seven to eight and sometimes even 9% interest rate on the money borrowed. You want to make arrangements with your life insurance company to pay the money back. You want to pay the money back Now in some cases people have to worry about I'm not going to pay it you know, I just let it ride out. It's not going to accumulate enough interest in today's market to pay the loan off it just not now years ago. Perhaps it could have he was getting seven or 8% interest on your own your premiums paid into your policy annually. But those days are long. Oh long gone. Today you get about anywhere from two to two and a half, maybe 3%. On a life insurance policy. Every time you make a premium payment. You do get an interest rate that creates a cash value New asset for you, when you have universal life, and whole life not term, term has no cash asset at all. Now you should be looking at your policy and and go review it. If it has renewable in that word renewable, flexible, these are target words that will let you know, before it happens, your policy rate is going to change as you get older. Look at your illustration page. If you don't understand the language, I can help you no obligation that means it's absolutely free for you to come in to see me. You need to bring in your life insurance policy with you. I cannot pull it up online 702-236-2624. Here's another question that was asked. Okay, I have a life insurance policy. I pass away my beneficiary has my life insurance policy, how soon do they get the money? Good question. Really good question. And behalf of the beneficiary what they're going to do, and you know, I like to talk to beneficiaries once we issue a life insurance policy. And the reason why I want to talk to your beneficiary is because I'll give them instructions on what to do. Now, most people kind of know how God has an idea, but this is what happens. You take the life insurance policy because you lost your love for him, you take it into the funeral home, they'll the first thing they are going to do the funeral home is going to do is pick up the phone, call your life insurance company along with your policy number, and the beneficiary it has to be the primary beneficiaries. Now if there's more than one primary beneficiary, all beneficiaries need to be there to sign off on the life insurance policy. Because what the funeral home will do, they will attach themselves to the life insurance policy, take out their money first, whatever it take out their money and not the funeral costs 15 to $20,000, they'll pull that out of the life insurance policy if the policy is worth that much. But the field could be worth that much or you could be underinsured, you're going to have only 10,000 15,000. Now, if your friend was $20,000, your family have to come up with $5,000. In today's market, funeral costs go up every six months. procedure again, you take the policy and they will take a look at the policy, they'll contact your life insurance company to make sure the premiums are paid, it's not a lapse, and then they'll okay premiums are good premiums to pay is not accidental, because if you take accidental only life insurance policy and to the funeral home, they're gonna look, they're not even going to call the life insurance company because this is accidental only your loved one passed away of natural causes. This is not going to pay for the services, and you're looking at yourself and you're looking around the room like Oh, my goodness, what am I do now. Now you're faced with a very expensive funeral to pay for, if they don't have money in the bank, or you don't have access to money in the bank, these are taking care of your final expenses, we all going to have final expenses. And now say you don't want to worry about that I don't want to talk about that with my family, you should have the conversation, they should know what to do, they should know where exactly where your policy is, they should know exactly who is the beneficiary of your policy. Now, this happens quite often, if you lost you, if you lost your spouse, and your spouse was your primary beneficiary, you need to contact your life insurance company and get a change of beneficiary form. They can email, email to you these forms and or you can print them out, sign them and send them back to the life insurance company. Now you can email them back or they probably want the original signatures of the beneficiary. Now these days, getting the beneficiary they probably ask for social security numbers, date of birth address there, make sure it's you to make sure it's you. Now once you get a change of beneficiary form. Now, when that day comes and it comes for all of us, it'll be seamless your primary beneficiary or your primary beneficiaries will go into the funeral home, the funeral home will take their proceeds out will be again, the policy cannot be accidental only and you pass away and natural causes. Very few people pass away have an accident. Very few. I've been an insurance agent for 28 years. And I've no not one accidental policy to pay out to anyone. But a lot of you right now listen to this program have accidental only life insurance. We need to have a conversation. Now if you in up to 85 years young I can write you a life insurance policy 8687 I cannot. Now getting back to the conversation we're talking about. Now once the funeral home takes their proceeds out and it's seamless, so nothing slows down. They did they get an attachment to your policy. They're paid the aseema so they go rogue with the work right away are preparing your loved one for their final resting place. Now once you receive the death certificate, then you contact your life insurance company and sometimes it is required sometimes not Rick Where, but when you do lose a loved one, you want to get at least five death certificates. A minimum of five. Why do you want to get five death certificates, I mean, you have to have to close out accounts. If a person was renting an apartment, you may have to show your landlord a death certificate. Or if you if there's a car payment, and you want to get the car in your name, you have to refi it's a lot of moving parts with it, you may have to take your employer at that person was still working a death certificate to get any type of 401, K's or any type of money that was due to the beneficiaries. These are things that we all have to go through in life I have many customers come to see me over the many years as being an insurance professional, professional. And they come in and say, Well, you know, we just buried a couple of our loved ones within the last year. We don't want to we don't want to go through that again. You know, at $15,000 per funeral that was $30,000. Now recently, I talked to a young lady, she said you know we we had to do car washes bake sales, to wash 750 cars at $20 A car that pays for a $15,000 funeral.

Unknown Speaker 21:12
Let me say that again. If you're planning to wash cars, when your loved one passes away, at $20 a car, you have to wash 750 cars at $15,000. You have to buy the soap that costs money got to get the water location help in everybody washing cars you can you imagine washing 750 cars, car washes probably don't do that in a week. Okay, that's that's not a good idea. That's not a good plan to have, or GoFundMe is not a good plan I have a good plan is being proactive. Contact me for a life insurance policy. It's not that difficult to do. And I know some of you said, Well, I can't afford a life insurance policy. But we can make it happen. We all can make adjustments in life. We all can make adjustments. So I my adjustments are this simple. When I have a place to go, I try to do it, make all my stops, go to the doctor, I need to go to the post office, I need to go to the bank. I do all that the same day. I've had to go to my office. I try to make trips, where I'm utilizing my gas and my transportation where I'm making stops that day. Now there's days I work from home and a lot of days I work in my office but every once in a while once a week I get to work at home, I get to work at home and I don't go anywhere when I work at home that day that's like I'm arrest that day and work and my car is gonna take a risk to you can make adjustments instead of going out and you're getting the steak and lobster you know, we can make adjustments. We can always make it maybe you want to get the fish I said I think I said that last week on my program but we all can make adjustments Now have you gone to the casino and feeding the poker machine. You definitely need life insurance, we definitely can make an adjustment in your life. You know a lot I've seen a lot of retirees come to Vegas, they get an insurance shock when they see the car insurance, what the rates are, but it is what it is in Vegas. We can't change that a whole lot but I can do the shopping for you. For auto insurance. My contact number is 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 located on the corner of Sahara and Rancho in the US bank center located on the eighth floor 702 to three 626 24 Miles was all for auto insurance, homeowners renters, and life insurance, boat and motorcycle insurance. Now our weather has changed, it's a lot cooler. You want to check your tire pressure on your vehicle to make sure your tire pressure is properly inflated. And then when you're driving down the road to people try to you know look at the car, the right hand side or your left hand side going down the road. If you see the front tire kind of going in your lane a little bit going to get my uncle you know blow your horn. Let them know that hey, you coming into my lane, look at the front tire. Because wherever the front tire goes, that's what a car goes on. When I'm driving always look at the person never. If I'm in the middle lane, I'm looking at the front tire on the right side and the front tire on the left side to make sure that not coming in my lane. I've prevented a lot of accidents by watching that front tire kind of ease in the lane. If you're texting and driving your hazard on the road. Do not text and drive you cover a lot of territory texting and driving. That is so dangerous. This is why we have a lot of car accidents on the roads today. It's not that important. You know texting and driving. Why would you do that? You're putting yourself at risk. And if you have family members in your car, you putting them at risk. If you have a pet, you're putting your pet at risk. Here's another thing when you're driving down a road and I've seen this many, many times, especially in my neighborhood. I see people driving around down the street with a dog in the front seat. That's is a hazard it should be a law against it. I mean really should because if the dog for whatever reason, you know I want to move around and you're driving with the dog and your front lap and the dog and use between you and the steering wheel. And if there's an accident because you know, you you didn't break in time you lip car, your airbag can inflate, and you and your dog will share DNA, okay? I mean, he's just going to happen your dog probably will get killed in the accident. If there's an accident that airbag inflates. You You know, he's gonna share DNA. Okay, you're gonna see what your dog tastes like really taste like yuck. There's not gonna be a good taste in your mouth. Put your dog in the back seat or in the front seat, but don't put the dog in the lap. I've seen German Shepherds and people lapse going down the road and not seeing their little cute ankle snappers to it, it looks all Cucuta doll like to stick your head out the window. I don't want this melon, I have no idea to stick your head out the window with a tongue out and just breathe in the fresh air. But it's not a good idea to drive with your dog in your lap. You're risking harming your pet. As well as yourself.
