Good morning. Good morning, Las Vegas and all the surrounding communities. My name is Donald Marquez, and this is your insurance connection. And today I have Jessica center joining me today and she is a team member of your insurance connection. She just recently joined my staff to be a licensed insurance agent to help you better understand insurances. Thank you, Jessica, for joining me today. This Sunday morning, this lovely Sunday morning. How are you today?
Unknown Speaker 1:10
I am doing wonderful. Thank you so much for having me. I'm truly excited to be here by your side. And, you know, letting the community know about the services you provide. We
Unknown Speaker 1:21
provide. That's right. We've been back because we're providing services, they help people better understand insurance. We offer auto insurance, homeowners renters. And yes, life insurance. We always talk about life insurance on my show, because that's one of the insurances people don't quite understand. They purchase life insurance that really don't read the contract and understand people focus on on the price, and also the face amount. However, it's a lot more moving parts with it doesn't build cash value. Is that a term policy? Is it a whole life policy? Will the policy without will out live the policy that happens a lot will my policy premiums change over time. And this is why it's so important for the insurance companies to have license insurance agents. Were here for a reason. We're here to explain to you the life insurance products or any insurance products that you purchase from us. My name is Don Marquez, welcome to the show. This is your insurance connection. My contact number is 702-236-2624 702-236-2624. Our location is on the corner of Sahara, and Rancho and a US Bank Center. Located on the eighth floor, we work by appointment business hours, Monday through Friday, from 10am to 5pm. And some Saturdays, we will work however, we don't work on Sunday. So only we do we do the radio broadcast on Sundays. But buckle up, put Trey in upright position and, you know, listen to the talk show because it's going to help you better understand insurance. We're licensed professional insurance agents. And I know a lot of you say I've been with my company for a long time. I'm happy with them. But you know, that's okay, too. However, if you have a life insurance policy, and you haven't reviewed it in a while, now it's time to have a no obligation, absolutely no charge to you, or review with your life insurance policy to get updated on your life insurance isn't unimportant. It's
Unknown Speaker 3:24
absolutely important. You know, as things change, and you know, the world around us is changing. There could be, you know, differences in a policy that can be made customizations that can be made. If you have any life changing events, you know, children, you move locations, job, any anything that is currently going on, you know, there might be a better fit. So it's worthwhile, it doesn't cost you anything and it doesn't hurt to maybe have someone else look at the policy, maybe break it down, make sure you have a firm understanding of you know, what would happen you know, should you need to use the policy so
Unknown Speaker 4:05
offer over my years of two decades in this insurance business. You know, people will purchase a policy and it didn't pay when it was time, because unfortunately your loved one purchased an accidental only life insurance policy. And every day in the funeral homes, someone walks in a funeral home somewhere in our country with a accidental only life insurance policy and find out their loved one is not covered because your your loved one passed away of natural causes, right? Yes, accidental only means accidental only correct, but I don't understand what you know, they target seniors 55 and older for this accidental only or travel, accident insurance, and they sell a lot of policies. But in my tenure as an insurance professional, I've never known one of those policies to pay out. Now if you do have a regular insurance policy, it does have accidentally in it. But you need a policy, or term Universal Life or even a whole life policy. Now you do have the benefit of an accident if there is an accident, but there are exclusions with an accidental only life insurance policy, it may not pay off as in a car accident. Or if you are in a car accident, and you pass away days later, that accidental only life insurance policy may not pay out. There's a lot of different reasons why you need an insurance review. We review all your insurances that your insurance connection to your life insurance, your home, your auto, to make sure you fully understand what you're paying for. And if we can save you money on that home and auto will bundle them together. And we call it the bundle to save you money to offset the cost if you don't have life insurance. Now it's time it's 2023. Now it's time to get life insurance when you agree. Absolutely.
Unknown Speaker 5:50
And that's one of the reasons well, there's a few reasons I was attracted to your insurance connection. But one of the main ones is, you know, your tenure in the business, your expertise over years, you know, so having someone who's able to look at the fine print, having someone who's really able to break down your coverages, you know, in an instant, I think that's extremely valuable, especially, you know, because a lot of times it can be overwhelming, you can be dealing with jargon that's familiar to the industry that you don't quite understand. So yeah, having a firm understanding, and also, you know, this is an act of love, you know, you as, as you are no longer here, and that relationship is lost to your loved ones, you know, they're already dealing with a devastating, you know, the, the loss in and of itself. So to be comforted by the fact that a lot of things are handled, that we know exactly what the wishes were of the deceased. And, you know, to be able to enact them and have a way to say, I love you, I have taken care of this, you're going to move forward. And you know, I'm it's almost like you're still with them, they're assisting them in the task of, you know, your your final wishes, and
Unknown Speaker 7:11
my own personal experience. And I've benefited from two life insurance policies, I was a recipient, recipient,
Unknown Speaker 7:18
recipient.
Unknown Speaker 7:22
I lose my word, recipient of a life insurance policy. And at the time of need, you know, it didn't matter. When I did receive these policies, I used the money for burial. That's the first thing you took your policy and the funeral home, they take the proceeds out, then you follow an additional plant along with a death certificate to get the tax free benefit. Now what it does for loved ones, like you said, it's a gift of love. It is a gift of love that saying I'm taking responsibility. Yes, whether I'm here or not, I'm still responsible for my family. Not only responsible, if you have adult children, that's one thing. But let's say, you know, you have a debt, you have a mortgage, you have a car payment, you have debt. Now, when you pass away, and you have a surviving spouse, who's gonna pick up those debts, correct, who's gonna make that who's gonna pay the car payment, who's going to pay them, the mortgage, who's going to pick up those debts? In the United States, the debt is passed down about $65,000 to the next generation. Now you we make sure that you can qualify for enough life insurance to take care of the number one priority to me is a funeral. Yes, because they're very expensive today, they started out with traditional burial putting you in the ground or crip those types of robots $20,000 on up and the price goes up every six months. Now we have priced this in our in our office to show people exactly what a funeral costs. And I encourage if you are going through a loss right now and your loved one is a veteran at the Boulder City Cemetery. they'll bury your loved one if they are a veteran, no charge for the plot. Only at the Boulder City Cemetery. The opening the closing and the headstone is the average savings around $7,000. Or even more. That's a significant savings expectancy when you know, money's tight. But when you take out a life insurance policy, it is a gift of love to let your family members know or your spouse know whether I'm here or not. I am still financially obligated for the continuation of your of our lifestyle for the continuation of our life. So what so only you on a personal note, it affected me when I lost my spouse. And but I was able to not go into panic mode. I was able to grieve in peace. I was able to grieve in peace and some people not they don't have time to agree. Because they haven't all said no okay, did did he have a life insurance policy? Yes. Yeah, nice clothes. He drove nice cars. Nice. Truck, big truck, you know, did he have a life insurance policy wag was on point, right. And then you know, had a good job all these years, retired loss of benefit when he retired, this happens quite often. But we always talked about getting life insurance. And it was always a postponement of getting tough even having a conversation, when you have loved ones and your household and you do have a life insurance policy, we do offer no obligation reviews of your life insurance policy, to bring you up to speed. And don't think, well, you know, I've had my policy for a long time I've been paying the premiums, what if that premium changes, because you do have endorsements in your within your life insurance policy, as you hit a certain age, that premium is going to go up. You know, it costs more to insure you as you get older. And this is why it's important to have a life insurance review, no obligation, my number is 702-236-2624, Jessica and I are here to help you better understand your insurance. I mean, we love what we do, I absolutely love what I do and talking to people, they when they leave my office, they have a better sense of understanding what insurance is all about. Not only the life insurance, what we're talking about the home now, in the auto boat, and motorcycle insurance, we do insure, as well as the life insurance, but I'm fine. And these talk shows that I have here 91.5 Jazz and more people need to better understand life insurance and have a policy, if you don't have a policy. Are you wanting? Do you really want to pass that debt on to your family members? Is that fair to them?
Unknown Speaker 11:35
It you know it? It isn't? It isn't. And as you as you mentioned, you know, it's just taking responsibility. I think that, you know, for those that haven't had to bury a loved one, there are a lot of decisions that have to be made very quickly. So having an understanding of what the wishes are, and just, you know, a guide, essentially, for accomplishing those goals, as well as I've had the fortunate experience of working with you, and hearing some of the policies that you're able to put together for those that weren't able to have life insurance previously, they were denied because of pre existing conditions. And the benefits that come along with some of the policies that I've seen you, you know, enact for people are incredible, you know, a lot of assistance with the supporting and the family that's left behind that I feel is is very valuable, and in the policies and something that I was absolutely attracted to initially. So yeah, you know, I'm encouraging anyone to come down, whether you have insurance policy in place or not. And, you know, just find out what's out there for you. You know, we're living in a time and day where there's a lot of things that can happen, you know, and you just you don't know what the future holds. And so to be protected to have, you know, that understanding and just to feel confident about the future, I think is something that, you know,
Unknown Speaker 13:07
well, let's just look back at the past. Just, you know, just just a short time ago, who is going through the virus, correct? Yes. How many people personally, I personally know several people that was close to me that passed away. Unfortunately, no relatives, but past friends, close relationships, you know, that people that are known have passed away from the virus. And if you survived the virus, and you still don't have any life insurance, what are you doing? Exactly? What are you doing? I mean, this is the time is 2023. Let's get our house in order. And I don't know you this programs. I'm gonna call Donald one day I'm gonna get on the phone. We'll call him one day and I know what Sunday is Sunday morning, I will answer the phone on Sunday morning and book you an appointment. You can contact me Sunday morning at 702-236-2624 702-236-2624. I'm happy to help you. I'm happy to help your family members. If you have a family member that has Alzheimer's or dementia. They'll give up we can get them a life insurance policy. We would make you power of attorney through our team member Christine Banagher. She is a legal person through your insurance connection. See as a paralegal, she's not an attorney, but she can prepare a power of attorney. If you have a loved one that's getting ready to go into a nursing home. We you know, you definitely need to contact us because Christine Barnard can tell you exactly what you need to do before you put a loved one in the nursing home. Because if they do have a life insurance policy, and they're getting ready to go into the nursing home, their nursing home could take a life insurance policy as an asset. What you can do is change of ownership we can we can have a change of ownership form sent out to you. You change the ownership and now the person that's insured will be the the insured you will be the owner of the policy Now the nursing home cannot take the life insurance policy because now the owner is going to change of ownership, you won't change any we shouldn't change any premium payments or anything like that. You could be the owner, the payer and also the beneficiary. And also, if you lost your beneficiary, let's say, when the husband died first, he was a primary beneficiary on a policy. This happens all the time. He was the primary beneficiary on the policy, no contingent beneficiary. Now, you know, you pass away, and there's no beneficiary, the policy goes into probate. If you have a life insurance policy, and you've lost your primary beneficiary, you need to get a change of beneficiary form from your life insurance company, they can mail it to you or email it to you fill it out as soon as possible, send it back in. Because if your loved ones take your life insurance policy into the funeral home with no primary beneficiary, no contingent beneficiary, that policy goes into probate. You don't want that to happen. You really don't know. No, as you getting your education in this business. There's something new all the time, right all the time. Yes. It's always changing. Yeah, it's always changing. We have to stay educated on insurance. And I keep my ears to the ground and try to listen to what people are saying. And that's why I came over to the companies that as you said earlier that people with underlying health conditions, we can write those individuals if they have lupus, a history of diabetes, cancer, one stage one stage two cancer with over 12 months to live, we can write them a life insurance policy. So if you've been treated with chemotherapy, and you only stage one or stage two, don't give up, we can get you a life insurance policy at your insurance connection. Yes, 702 to 362624 702-236-2624 My name is Donald Marquez, this is your insurance connection, it just tuning in for the very first time. Welcome to the show. I'm here with Jessica center today. And she's a licensed insurance agent. We're here to help you better understand insurance. And I know it is Sunday, you can contact me I will book in my appointment book Monday through Friday will operate from 10am to 5pm. And some Saturdays we will work if that's necessary, because I know some of you were you know, nine to five, in you know, by the time five o'clock yet I'm trying to get out of the office. Yes, or sometime I say a little later because the traffic I can see the traffic. Now we can see the traffic from from my vantage point, and we all know eighth floor. And that on the corner of Sarah and Rancho. In the US Bank Center, located on the eighth floor, we work by appointment. And if you have a loved one out there that's on drug or alcohol, and you want to get a life insurance policy on them, we can help you get a policy, we'll get in touch with Christine Banagher make you power of attorney over that individual. So you can get them a life insurance policy something is better than nothing. You don't want to receive the phone call, and your loved one is out there that maybe they don't match, they may have a drug problem, or alcohol problem or they may even be homeless. They may well we do need is that social security number and date of birth, we can get them a life insurance policy at your insurance connection. My name is Dawn Marquez along with Jessica 70223626 to four. Absolutely,
Unknown Speaker 18:20
yeah, I think one of the major things to think about is just your risk. You know, this is a risk assessment. You come in, you know, inform us of you know the things that you have going on in your life, the people that you want to take care of the bills that you might have, whatever your situation may be, you know, just to have an understanding of what you need. As well as the you know, it's very important to do this as soon as possible. You know, you really don't want to wait until your your retirement years you don't want to wait until you know you're much older because you know there's a lot more insurance, there's not a lot more protection. If you can get it at a younger age, it's
Unknown Speaker 19:07
more cost effective. And speaking about that Valentine's Day is right around the corner. Yes, people are getting married, the whatever wonderful wedding gift to give, get a life insurance policy, or you know, tell you tell your fiance, let's get life insurance to protect each other. We never know what's going to happen. And then you know, get your life insurance policy first before you start billing the family. Keep your life insurance in place because as Jessica said, at a young age, in your mid 30s You can get an affordable life insurance policy. You really can you can get up. You know I've written policies for a million dollars and you'd be surprised the cost of the policies is very affordable less than $1 a day in some cases. It just really depends on each individual's different one box doesn't fit all. But I've written policies, million dollar policies and people that I couldn't believe I got a million dollar possible you and your On 30s, correct? No problem. And the premium was so low. Yes. Because now you have a prime family you can afford. If you can afford to have HBO and Showtime and all these premium channels on your television, you can have a life insurance policy. Yeah. Right. If you have the latest and the greatest cell phone, that you're paying that monthly fee, you can have a life insurance policy. When you agree, I
Unknown Speaker 20:22
agree. And those premiums are not going to change, you know that that price that you establish at your attained age, which is you know, the age that the policy comes into effect. Those premiums do not change as long as you keep the policy active. And if there is ever a life occurrence that you know, what caused you financially to not be able to take care of it, there are options. And that's one of the the resources that are provided through your insurance connection is you know, it's not just you come in and get a policy and it's over. No, we are a resource for you to continue to reach out to us if you have questions, again, life changing events, we're here for you. So
Unknown Speaker 21:05
we love referrals. Don't keep us a secret.
Unknown Speaker 21:07
Don't keep us a secret. Yes, let's protect the family or we have some
Unknown Speaker 21:11
referrals. We love referrals, as benefits in life insurance policy, it is also a living benefit. Yes. Well, you need to borrow money against the policy. Now keep in mind, you can now borrow money against a term only policy or term is 10 years 1520 25 or 30. Now many 25 year policies out there, but I've seen them. But if you can afford to get a term policy, get 30 years now if you're 58 and older, and you're a nonsmoker, you cannot get a 30 year term policy just can't. So the cutoff is at 58 for non smokers, male or female, or over any any age over 58. You really, really need to have a sit down and see if a term policy is advantageous for you. It may not be because more than likely, you're going to outlive the policy because the maximum on a 20 year, pot well over 58 is 20 years. Now you 6878 And you don't want you don't want have you trying to find life insurance at 78. Because your term policy has expired. Now with a term insurance if you do have term insurance out there and you're listening to this program, you may be able to convert your term life insurance in the universal Oh whole life. Yes. So don't think okay, I've been paying on this policy. And my money's gone. People only say that when it comes to life insurance. Correct. It'll never say that when it comes to car insurance. Yes.
Unknown Speaker 22:34
And that's actually what you're doing. Every month that money is gone. Every month. You
Unknown Speaker 22:38
have the protection. So we offer protection, right? That is you're being protected, but people said, Well, I've been paying on his life insurance for last one year. And now it's expired. I don't throw that money. Wait, no, no, you did not. You are protected during that period of time. It but then never said that about car insurance, if they switch companies, you know, I didn't have any accidents or tickets, but I'm switching companies to save money. That money wasn't thrown away, you are protected during that period of time, insurance is only protection. You know, there's only protection and that's what we offer. Because it's all about the what ifs and then life experiences a lot of layers in life with life experience. As we continue to age every day. In this world. We see things unexpected is good to protect yourself. You know you you could be a good Samaritan and try to help someone out there and you know, be become liable for trying to help someone is protection. Yes, this is why people get trust. You know, they get a trust they get a trust and Christine Banagher can help you get a trust a will and put you on the deed as right as survivor just in case. You know, when that day comes and it comes from all of us. It'll avoid probate. My name is Don Marquez this is your insurance connection right here talking to Jessica center and she is a new insurance hire yet your insurance connection and I'm I'm looking for some wonderful things to happen in the future with her with your insurance connection to continue the legacy that I built to reach out to more customers and to help you better understand isn't experienced to come in our office, you know, we don't chop it up, we're gonna laugh a little bit. And we're gonna get right down to business to talk about your concerns. And I listened to everything you have to say. And I figured out in my mind I said okay, I could put them over here I'll put them over there. But I'm always thinking What better suits you what company suits you for you for your needs because one person it may see one person what gives me as it you know, my neighbors said that they're paying only this much money for car insurance or my neighbor said that only paying this much money but life insurance wouldn't make your neighbor an expert. Right? Yeah. What makes your neighbor an expert. You know, you cannot go about it. You can be identical twins. Yes, have the same car, live in the same zip code and probably play different prices for your car insurance or even for your life insurance. Yeah, so don't don't think your neighbor is an expert. You know, Lowe's, your neighbor keeps the yard clean and yard cut and all that, you know, that's, you know, give, talk about other things, but that your neighbor is not an insurance expert, or someone your coworker tell you Are you paying too much money for that car? Or, you know, you pay that much money for life insurance only pay this much? Well, you should see what type of policy that person had. Yes, I've talked to people. And he's I got our accidental only life insurance. And I've had it for the last 10 years. Why should I get rid of it? Get rid of it? Because I listen to your radio talk show? Well, it doesn't cover natural causes. Do you really want to dine up? Well, what have I done a car accident? Do you really want to die? No car fatality? Who? You really come on? Do you really want to? I mean, the car cares his own insurance. Right? It does. You quickly find out you die of natural causes. You know, we paid on this policy for all these years. It happens all the time. People go in a funeral home with accident, oh, oh, we got we got $700,000 We got a million dollars. And my dad he was only paying $19 a month. It says accidental only travel insurance, accidental only insurance. Don't be caught up in that. Yes, don't be caught up. Now. If you have a policy a whole life policy that offers accidental death benefit enhancement. That's okay, too. We do have life insurance policies. There's no physical, you could come in. And there's no health examination to apply with just a few easy questions, you can get up to $35,000 a whole life or even more, if you qualify for 100,000 and into the millions. But if you have underlying health conditions, you've been turned down for life insurance, we do have a policy for you at your insurance connection, my contact number is 702-236-2624 is my personal cell number. It's my personal cell number you can call me today on Sunday morning, you know, after you finished drinking your cup of coffee and contact me, I'll put you in an appointment to come in and talk to Jessica and myself about your life insurance, home and auto. If you want to bring your it's good to bring your policy in because we cannot pull those policies efficacy, the life insurance up on on the internet, these insurance companies go extra to protect your privacy. What is always good to bring in policy and if you don't bring it in, we can always contact your life insurance company and find out exactly what type of policy you have with permission. I'll talk to your life insurance company and then I'll find out exactly what do you have? Or if you don't know what your policy is, and this happens all the time. Now if you don't know what your policy is, how do you expect your family to know when that day comes for you know, it's not as if it's a win, win, it may come for you. And if you don't know what your own policy is, how do you expect your family members to know what the policy is, you can always say you can always contact your life insurance company and get a duplicate policy. My name is Don Marquez, this is your insurance connection 702-236-2624 702-236-2624. This is your insurance connection. We are located on the corner of Sahara and Rancho and the US bank center located on the eighth floor. Jessica, this has been fun.
Unknown Speaker 28:17
This has been fun, you know, and just just lasting sentiments. This is a quality and a value experience, you know to come in as as Don said, you will reach him I was so shocked when I called you and you actually answered the phone, I just knew I was going to have to go through three or four people that, you know that just shows you the level of professionalism, the the level of care, the level of dedication to our clientele, that we really do care about what we're doing. We want to be there for you. We want to assist you. It's not about the sale. It's about making sure that you have the proper coverage. And you have an understanding of how this insurance works.
Unknown Speaker 28:57
And you can easily get misled by watching these commercials. Yeah, easily misled and they're doing what they need to do to generate business. Absolutely. I understand that. But we're getting we get a lot more personal. You get to see us one on one face to face. And we do it the old fashioned way. I'm gonna call it the old fashioned way. That personal touch. Because when it comes to life insurance, you definitely need to talk to a professional like myself and Jessica, about your insurance needs. Thank you again for joining me today. Jessica.
