Hey, good morning. This is Don Marquez with your insurance connection. Welcome to another edition. This is Sunday morning from eight o'clock to 830 right here at KU envy 91.5 Jazz and more. We talk about insurance on my show. keep you updated on what's going on in the insurance now I did hear that Metro is going to you know get more speeders and they're going to be in locations across the city and be careful slowed down a little bit because Metro is out on the watch because I guess I need more money as more too many speeders. Usually when you speeding, you know it's it's always a fine the penalty to pay. But the reason why they say is because they there's too many car accidents. And there are a lot of car accidents in Vegas, because people just don't pay attention. You text you drive. And you you know you shouldn't do that. That's a bad combination, texting and driving, especially if you want it anywhere. But especially on I 15 to 95 or any of the expressways that we have here in Vegas and travel and do not text and drive home, you cover a lot of territory. In a short period of time, your car's going 7080 miles an hour and you're texting to a friend or a colleague. It's not that important. You know, use your phone call a person usually you can do hands free with a telephone Today, technology, you haven't used it. But you know texting and driving is not that important. Because what's happening is we see a lot more frequency of people having rear end collisions. And what happens when you have a rear end collision of course you damage your vehicle you damage their vehicle, those cars have to be repaired or replaced and people go to the hospital they claim bodily injury claims on a auto insurance policy. And when they claim auto insurance bodily injuries, you know that makes all of our insurances go up so the little things we could do and maybe one day in the future one day in the future we'll have computers guiding us on our speed in other words, the computer will control the cars all of that of course where the speed is regulated on the roads so we won't have any collisions anymore it'll it'll slow the traffic down where it needs to and and help you speed traffic up it'll help you speed traffic up in the future not as in the future that's probably you know not long from now because we all we have electric cars now. I haven't yet insured electric car yet. I don't I'm curious what the insurance is on electric car. I haven't done one yet. But you know that everyone is buying electric cars today or hybrids I'm insured hybrid but not no one has called me say I gotta have a Tesla I want to ensure all electric Tesla but you know that my that my next vehicle definitely will be an electric vehicle or hybrid. You know to save conserve on gasoline and of course transportation costs because current transportation costs is going up I remember when I had the gas wars when I was younger. And now gasoline the price it is what it is now. It is what it is. I remember my dad saying years ago he said well when gasoline becomes $1 A gallon I'm gonna stop driving well he he continued to drive when it was over $1 a gallon. And and we're driving today and it's over $5 a gallon. You know and it causes everything else to go up. However we can be preventative, proactive, slow down, Do not text and drive put your seatbelt on that's another one. Believe it or not, is people still driving around without a seatbelt. Now I know people that has gotten received $150 fine for not wearing a seatbelt. That's too much money just to buckle up, buckle up. It's just for your safety. And also you know if something happens, someone hits you. And then there's a lot of bodily injuries without wearing your seatbelt. My name is Dawn Marquez. This is your insurance connection. 702-236-2620 fours my number 702-236-2624 located on a corner of Sahara and Rancho in the US springs center located on a floor 702-236-2624 I do a lot of business by way of telephone because I know people don't want to get out in the heat. Or you know just read the call me and we take care of all of our insurance needs right over the telephone. I want to thank the listeners this this has called in you and purchase home auto. And yes, life insurance. Life insurance is one of my favorite subjects when it comes to insurances because we have no problem insuring a car, we have no problem putting insurance on a home. But when it comes to that life insurance is a lot of hesitation. I don't know why is totally worth it, everyone needs it, everyone should have it. And sooner or later, you're going to need some life insurance sooner or later. It just all depends on your job insurance, that's fine. That's a benefit. You know, they, if they give it to you take it. But if you're paying for it, you do have other options. We can start policies, you know, we can have policies where you're in control, where you're in control, not not the corporation to say, Okay, well, we're gonna cut down benefits. Because you know, the CEO is not making enough money. Now you're in control, whether you go stay in that career path, or change a career path, your life insurance policy, you have it as an individual policy, that's with you, no matter what your what your career path is, in life. And I've, you know, I've been around for a while, I noticed people, they will stay on their career path because of the benefits, you can create your own benefits today, you own health insurance benefits, your own life insurance benefits, your own retirement benefits, if that's what's holding you back, you know, you know, you could think out of the box a little bit, you know, for for future people to talk them to the millennials, you know, they don't think they don't have social security in the future. So, you know, life insurance is a way to sell, you know, part of your retirement portfolio. It truly is your bond money and a low cost, you really is all it is, it's not what life and how much life insurance costs, or, you know, purchasing life insurance. It was, it's what life insurance does, for the next generation, is what it does for the next generation. Because I've been to funerals with life insurance, and I'm going to funerals without life insurance. And there's a difference you go to a funeral with life insurance is nice and quiet. And oh, Roger, he was such a good man. He's gonna miss him. But everything's, I'm not worried about anything, it's all taken care of. That's pretty much the atmosphere. Oh, boy. But you go to an insurance, you go to a funeral without life insurance. Oh, that is the one of the loudest and disruptive funerals you ever want to go to family members at it at each other and blaming each other, you know, mad because they have to come up with a lot of money. That, you know, the you know, and the corpse have to build, the body had to be on the ice for a very long time, three, four or five months even. I've heard as much as five months. And some of these funeral homes charge a you know, an additional fee. A daily, they call it a daily storage fee. To to have your loved ones remains in the funeral home. Yeah, yeah, they charge you extra money, not only the cost of the funeral, but you know, think about the other additional costs. If there's children left behind, in the oil, a spouse left behind, someone needs to take care of the spouse, the loved ones, the children,

Unknown Speaker 8:12
mortgage, the rent, food, you know, utility bills, credit card bills, insurance, car insurance, I mean, car payments, I mean, the list goes on and on. And not to mention, okay, the luxuries in life, we enjoy it, like cable TV or, or satellite television, cell phones, you know, the list goes on and on. So just don't take for granted. Well, you know, I just I just I don't need that much life insurance, I got a couple of dollars in the bank or, you know, that'll take care of me. Sometimes it won't, it won't, it won't be enough. For every child that you have, you should have at least $100,000 of life insurance. Let me say that again. For every single child, you have under 18 years young, you need at least one $100,000 of life insurance on yourself to protect your family, a minimum of 100,000. So if you have three children, you need a minimum of $300,000 in life insurance. Now, if you're in your mid 30s 40s, with a young family, I'm talking to you right now, because you can get life insurance at a low cost, we can set you up with a 1020 or even a 30 year term policy, something that is affordable, it's gonna be a lot more insurance that your job will offer you. Let's take for granted. You know, let's take for instance, let's do the math. If you have a job and is paying you what $50,000 A year and some people come to me as well, you know, they give me three times my salary. So your salary is $50,000 a year. That's only $150,000 in life insurance, but you have three children. How long would that last? How long would that last? And only ever thing you know? If something happens to me don't use the word if anymore. Stop that because we never know. It would make it my career a lot easier if we know exactly when our time is up. We don't know Oh, that's the mystery about life itself. You know that every day you get up as a new day, new blessing, you have to do something different than you did the day before you do and is now it's time to act, instead of waiting, postponing something you have to do protect your family, protect your family, because your family needs this protection. I can't imagine family members, you know, without this protection, because it goes into chaos. Without life insurance, you lose a loved one, not only a young person, but let's talk about our grandparents or parents. Have a conversation with your parents, your grandparents, or even your children, and let them know that they are the beneficiaries of your life insurance policy. Ask your parents, your grandparents who wears the life insurance. What do you keep it? That's some and they don't want to talk about it. Ask them why they don't want to talk about it. Well, I don't want to talk about that right now. Why not? When When can we talk about it. Because this is important, I need to know exactly where the life insurance policy is. Who is the beneficiary, you're not being nosy, you're just taking care of business, you just taking care of business. Now, if you are a homeowner, and you've lost your spouse, and you have a home, and no one else is on the deed, this is very important. No one else is on the deed. But you because you lost a spouse, or you're a single person about purchasing a home and you don't have a will you don't have a trust, you need a right of Survivor on the deed of the home regardless of if you have a mortgage or not, you know, protect your property because if you pass away without this protection, it goes right to the state with the rights of Survivor is in a beneficiary position to pass the home on to the next generation or to your beneficiary. Now you may have good intentions in your heart to say, You know what? It's only me I'm single, or I'm a widow or widower, I want to pass my home on to my children. But there's no there's no Well, there's no trust. There's no one on the date as right of Survivor, not even if you own your home outright, it will go to the state for who knows 567 years maybe that's a long time it goes into probate. Now once it comes out of probate court, it's gonna be very expensive. Of course, the court costs added on we have a team member on your insurance connection, her name is Christine Barnard, she can help you get a Will or Trust, put their loved one on his right of Survivor now they cannot sell your home, they cannot take out a loan out of your home. They're just placing the benefit of beneficiary position. When that day comes and it comes for all of us. It secures the property will be passed down seamless, seamless, and I'm a witness to it. Because I've had it happened to me twice. My mother passed away actually three times my mother passed away. The home was passed down to me. My wife passed away and our properties passed down to me I had to take her name off the deeds as well as my mother name when she passed away because my father had already been busy since the 90s. And so it was seamless. And of course my my mother in law she passed away so that's 333 times where I've I've been in a position with being right of Survivor. Things happen, you know, you we lose loved ones. And with this virus still around. I know we've gotten very comfortable, you know, not wearing mask not protecting ourselves because a lot of us got shots. I got my shots. I got all three shots, but But you know, this virus is still floating around. I think we had virus fatigue, we got tired of wearing masks. We're just a little sprawl in this country. But we had to do we have to do and we did it for a while and hopefully, you know, this thing comes to an end and we can move forward. You know, it's funny when you're not around people, you want to be around people. And the virus caused a lot of people to lose loved ones. You know, they got pneumonia, or they got the Coronavirus. They went into the hospital and they never came out. I've been to quite a few funerals in the last nine months. I don't want to go into any more funerals anytime soon. My name is Don Marquez. Get yourself some life insurance. Take care of your family, your family needs this protection is the gift of love. It truly is. It gives you the peace of mind that you need knowing that when that day comes you you have money for your family members to take care of their final expenses and the continuation of life itself. The continuation life is as I said not only paying for a funeral service, but right off the divino servers. Of course as a repass, you got to pay for the year that costs money the repass costs money. Now, here comes the bills now whether you hear now the bills are coming in, you know that the mortgage is coming in the rent is coming in, who's gonna pay for that? Because by losing a significant person in the household, also you lose an income, that income has gone, then you lose the income or the income could be reduced. But now those bills not reduced, the mortgage is not reduced, the rent is not reduced, the car payment is not reduced. This is why it's important to think ahead, be proactive. Get yourself some life insurance is a peace of mind. And the healthy you are, the younger you are, the less you will pay, you can get a lot of insurance for low cost. Listen, if you can pay what you pay for that cell phone. And you don't need the newest cell phone that comes out every single year, you don't need that, you can get yourself a life insurance policy. If you go out to the fast foods at least three to four times a month, you definitely can get some life insurance, just cut that down. But you know, just stop going to fast food restaurants, maybe one every once in a while. But you can you know make your own food at home, it's a lot healthier for you make your own food at home, all these channels on a television Do you really need all these channels. And next press the the premium channels because you pay a lot more for the premium channels. And it seemed like it's repetitive. You see the same thing over and over again. I've seen that before. But you're paying all this extra money. You know, there's ways in your budget you can find to reduce the cost of living and get yourself a life insurance policy. A life insurance is a lot more important than having all these premium channels, having the latest phone with all the gadgets on it, it truly is or have when the latest fashion every time you know, you want to go shopping all the time, we can cut things down, we need to protect those children, we need to protect our loved ones. Talk to your dad, talk to you, mom, see if they have life insurance if they are retired, or if you retired right now and you see your life insurance policy going up. Because now you lost those benefits from work. You worked all these years. But you realize that you know it did not carry the life insurance policy did not carry on when you retired. Or here's another one you switch careers because a lot of people did switch careers during the virus. They found they found occupation by working at home on a computer. And that's great. Because I've benefited from them too. From the viruses. Well, because the insurance industry did change. It allowed us to write policies life insurance policies over the phone. Now as an insurance broker, I write auto insurance, homeowners insurance, and yes, life insurance. Everyone needs life insurance. And I talk about life insurance a lot on my show, because everybody has you drive a car you have auto insurance. The biggest thing about auto insurance I can I can you find me a company that can you know, at lower rates, lower rates I need as I'm paying too much. Well, welcome to southern to that. I'm paying too much too.

Unknown Speaker 17:36
But it's one of those things, every city has this thing. And that's our thing, unfortunately, is car insurance. And of course getting your car registered. Is this a fact of life. But if you don't have a problem, putting insurance on a car, if you don't have problem, putting insurance on your home, you should not have a problem putting insurance on your life. You are a valuable asset to your family members. They need you. They need your income. But without you it is it is heartbreaking to go to the funeral home and have no means to pay for this very expensive funeral. And now you have these other bills coming in. I've seen families, they have to you know, sell their home or move out of their rental property, get something a lot less their whole life is turned upside down. I mean, just think about it. You have four children, no life insurance because you and your wife probably have your own job. You work. Yeah, you have your own careers. You're creating your own business but you have no life insurance. What happens to those young children if one of you something at some point, you know you have a premature passing one of you have a premature passing. It happens every day in this country all over the world. Matter of fact, all over the world. It happens every day all the time. And I go to these funeral homes, and the first thing they want to do is take me on a tour. I say hey mr. Marquez, let's go on this tour. Let me show you why. We charge what we charge. And I was truly set back I was amazed and awe because of course they want the latest limos and they you know and these limousines are very expensive. They have these large refrigeration units though the house the remains the keep them on keep them cool. They have the makeup room. It's interesting tour it really is so interesting, too. And I've seen some you know somebody's but you know they I asked the question they said let me show you why it costs so much money. Of course they have to pay for the staff. They're building and the list just goes on and on with them too as well. But the average cost of a service today is about $15,000. The average cost of a service today is $15,000. You know your average car is running around 15 to $20,000 a day that's that's an average vehicle that's nothing like very luxurious. Not a luxury car. That's just the average. If you buy a new of course but you know you're not I get a whole lot for $20,000 today. But a cost to bury a loved one, you know, is extremely expensive and the cost goes up every six months. Now, if you've been turned down for life insurance, do not give up. I've talked to people all the time, you know what I've had a history of cancer, I don't think I can get life insurance, or I have diabetes, I've been turned down multiple times, because I have diabetes, or my weight is a little heavy, I'm overweight, and I've been turned down for life insurance, don't give up I can help you with get a life insurance policy. Regardless, if you have a history of cancer, diabetes, or you've been turned down before you have heart disease, or dragon drug and alcohol abuse, we can get you a life insurance policy at your insurance connection. For more information, my contact number is 702-236-2624 702-236-2624. Once you get a life insurance policy, you tell your family member who is your primary beneficiary, you are my primary beneficiary, when my day comes, and it comes for all of us. And you know what, they they're not gonna want to talk about it. I'm gonna tell you that right now. And I want to talk about that. Why? Why are you bringing it up? I don't want you know, it's like, nobody lives forever.

Unknown Speaker 21:18
And saying that, no one lives forever. I want to make sure you know what everything is in place. Now, if you have a will a trust, if you need a Will or Trust, we have a Christine Barnard, she's a team member. At your insurance connections, she can help you with the wheel of trust. If you if you receive a speeding ticket, or you receive a speeding ticket and you haven't paid it yet, she can get a reduced down to a parking ticket for you. In most cases, if it's in the state of Nevada 702-236-2624 My name is Donald Marquez, I'm an insurance broker, I do not charge a fee for my services. I do not. So I've had people come in and say how much money do I owe you? For this service. I cover everything I do. My Location is on a corner of Sahara and Rancho in the US bank center located on the eighth floor 702-236-2624 702-236-2624. My business hours are Monday through Friday from 10am to 5pm. And some Saturdays are will work. But if you excuse me if you don't want to come in, we have we have a beautiful technology here called the telephone. You can pick up the phone contact me we can do all our business over the phone, I can email you the policy, you can sign the policy by with email technologies is great. And this happened as a result of the virus because in the past, we could not write life insurance we have to see the individual face to face. Very rare, it was very rare when life insurance companies would allow us insurance agents to write a policy without seeing the individual face to face. But now since the virus, they kind of loosen up a little bit as well, you know, we can do everything over the phone, you know, so we don't have that contact as much. We can make it happen over the phone. We can run some numbers by you. The life insurance is based on you. The math you take your age, whether you're a smoker or a nonsmoker, and where are my smokers, rarely, when I get smokers contacting me, I do. Now like I said earlier, if you've been turned down, do not give up, do not give up something is better than nothing. We can set you up with a whole life policy up to $35,000 in whole life, if you've been turned down or you know you have underlying health conditions, and you don't think you can get life insurance. If you have family members as stage one stage two cancer, we can get them a policy don't worry about it, we can get them a policy. If you have family members with lupus we can get them a life insurance policy, family members on dialysis, diabetes, we can get them life insurance do not give us any your loved ones need this type of coverage. Now if you have a loved one getting ready to go into a nursing home, this is very important listen up. We we need to put that life insurance policy on your loved one and make you power of attorney. Okay. Now I've asked people have asked me should I put my my my life insurance policy in my trust. Now, you know, you can talk to your attorney about that I'm not an attorney, I'm an insurance agent. But I You want to make that very accessible when it comes and it comes from all of us now putting in a trust, it may it may slow it down a little bit by my means of getting the money because now you have to go to the trustee. And let's say the trustee is different from the beneficiary on the life insurance policy. So there could be some, you know, difficulties you know, having access to the life insurance policy because now it is in the trust. It's in the trust. So think about it. I have a life insurance. I also have a trust, but that is separate from my trust. Because I want my beneficiary have access to their life insurance policy without having To go to the trustee but again, you can always always I say, consult an attorney, make sure you make the best moves for your family because they're gonna need protection. Once you're gone, you're gone. But where is their protection? Where is their financial security for them, you leave them behind with no financial security. Well, just memories of the, you know, days we spent together backyard barbecues, you know, gone swimming, fishing, hunting, whatever you did together, skating, you know, going on a wonderful vacations, you know, beautiful times, but now, you lose that loved one and everybody goes, nobody stays there forever. But once you leave, now, here it comes. The bills do, the monthly bills are still coming in. There is no life insurance, extra money to pay for these very expensive lifestyle that you've created for yourself, no matter what level of lifestyle you're on. A lot of times people are devastated. They have to move out of their home. They're used to living in and find some small apartment to live in or a small condo to live in. You know, it changes you it changes your life. Do not let this happen to you. It happens every single day. Because people just don't want to talk about life insurance. Again, if you can put car insurance on a car that's the machine. You can put life insurance on yourself. My name is Don Marquez, I can help you do that. I represent multiple life insurance companies 67 Life insurance companies that represent multiple car homeowners insurance companies, we can find a policy for you at your insurance connection. I'm going insurance broker. I've been in this business since 1996. If I can't find it, it cannot be found. Okay, so when you call it around and going putting all your personal information online, good luck with that because you're going to receive a lot of phone calls. When you come through me the only phone call you're going to receive is from the insurance company that we select regardless of his home auto life insurance or from me calling you about your insurance things we need to take care of 702-236-2624 702 to 362624 My name is Donnell Marquez, this is your insurance connection we broadcast right here at get you in the 91.5 Jazz and more Sunday mornings from 8am to 830. It's a very difficult time of the year it's got a lot of claims a lot of burnouts, people lose their homes, so be safe you know those illegal fireworks you shouldn't have them but I know people get them because they'd like to see the boom and the bang and bang in the boom.
