Good morning Las Vegas. This is Don Marquez with your insurance connection. I just want to say thank you for the customers that came in and purchase home auto and Yes, life insurance or love life insurance. Ray Liotta American actor, he passed away on May 26 2022. He was well remembered for all his acting, and one of my favorite programs, of course was Goodfellas. If you remember him, I just found out the news about just recently, he was on quite a few movies. But the one that stands out to me is Goodfellas. I hope you rest in paradise. My name is Don Marquez, this is your insurance connection. We broadcast right here at KU envy 91.5 Jazz and more Sunday mornings 8am to 830 on your insurance connection. I'm an insurance broker. And I discuss insurance matters insurance concerning you. So you have a better understanding about your insurance, you pay him for every single month with their life insurance policies. You know, I was asked the question the other day, can I pay my policy in advance your life insurance policy in advance? Yes, you may, you could pay it quarterly, semi annually, which is every six months, or you can pay it for the full year, which is 12 months. Now that's up to you or most traditionally, people pay their life insurance month to month. And the reason why they like to pay month to month maybe it fits in their budget better, maybe they can't afford to pay it in full for the year. But as long as you select the due date between the first and the 28th of each month, you're you're good. Now I understand some of you own retirement and you're so scared to your retirement come in on the third Wednesday of the second Wednesday of the month. I understand that we can make arrangements for heavier payment come out. whatever date you select between the first and the 28th of each month. Now it's important to have life insurance with the right viruses still out there and I'm gonna tell you i i find at my age, I see the frequency in people that are passing away. I also want to give a condolences to my good friend Anthony Strunk. He lost his dear wife, xe C stronk. Just recently here and my heart bleeds for him as good friend of mine I've we known each other since the ninth grade. And you know he he lost his wife. But may she rest in paradise. Her name is FCC strong. I know they're gonna have services pretty soon coming up. There she her remains will be at Serenity funeral home located on the Maryland Parkway location on understand there is two salinities one on Cheyenne and one on Maryland Parkway. Or reach out to the Maryland Parkway branch of serenity funeral home to find out. Reza you know when the funeral services will happen? I don't know yet. When I do I will let you keep keep you updated. I know a lot of people new XC and in the community right here in Las Vegas, Nevada. Again, my name is Don Marquez, this is your insurance connection. I get we talk about, you know insurance in different ways. When it comes to pay to purchasing insurance. What are the details? What do you have to do when it comes to purchasing your life insurance policies? It is not that difficult. I think we make it more difficult than it really really is. I had a young lady come in my office just just last Tuesday. And she said she shared the program. And she said well I have diabetes. I've been turned down and I take blood pressure pills. And I said that's it. She said yes I have life insurance on my my husband, my two children and my grandchildren and I have no life insurance on myself. What we were able to get our $20,000 policy fit in her budget. She was well in her 70s and she's very happy. She is very happy and she had insurance day one. With the Whole Life policies. benefits are paid in 24 hours a whole life benefit up to $35,000 in coverage. Now you may sound and may not sound like a lot of money, but it's better than nothing at all. Now some of you may not qualify for the larger life insurance policies. This is a great alternative to have a policy. When that time comes in. It comes for all of us It's not a if it's a when there's no health examination to apply just a few health questions there yes and no questions 12 questions that ask you. And most people do qualify with coverages, even with health issues. Again, the young lady had diabetes, we got her a policy for $20,000, she was insured day one, meaning that if she were to pass away, three to six months from now, three or six months from now, she would be covered her beneficiary would get the full amount of the $20,000. Along with the $20,000 benefit, she also received accidental and dismemberment, a cash benefit enhancement for her. If she gets killed in a car accident, there was a death due to a car accident. She's also paid for it, the beneficiaries also paid a portion of $10,000 along with the $20,000 make it a total benefit of $30,000. In other words, you get the best of both worlds, you get the best of having a whole life policy for final expenses and financial causes. And also there's an accidental death benefit rider attached to it. My name is Don Marquez, my contact number is 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 I'm just a little bit under the weather. I had a sinus infection, I guess the pollen is rolling in and had me down in the bed for about five days. And I still feel it lingering just a little bit. I'm about 90% Hopefully, by next week I'll be back to 100% but if you feel yourself feeling it feel it has flu like symptoms if you feel you by your lower back ache and hurting and you know your sinuses clogged up and you know you just feel weak, go to the doctor I got a Z Pak, I took it for five days, along with some cough syrup that helped me relax from the doctor and those over the counter meds they're not gonna work on this now. Maybe you have a strong body resentment, I don't know, my I surrendered. I said I have too much to do. I have to go to the doctor. Get some antibiotics in me and recovering. But it's around is the doctor told me the viruses is floating around. So if you fill in, you know just a little weak and coughing it was dry coughs and sinuses and runny nose. Go to go to your doctor. I got a quick here I go to in and out. You know make an appointment with the doctors today. You got to wait almost 30 days before you see a doctor. What's up with that? I don't get it. Now I'm on Medicare. I have a PPO, and I still have to wait. You know, I call my primary care physician. I said okay, we can see you in three weeks. No, I gotta I gotta quit care in and out.

Unknown Speaker 7:42
I suggest you do the same. And don't wait around three weeks. Who wants wants to see a doctor three weeks later. But we're talking about, we're talking about right now Life Insurance, I get a little carried away. But I get I get excited about life insurance. Because as an insurance professional for the last, oh my goodness, 26 years now. I've seen a lot. I've seen a lot. I've seen a lot of people come and go in my life. And I've seen people struggle through the financial part of losing a loved one. In the United States, the average debt left behind a loved one is about $60,000, minimum of $30,000. And just think about it. Okay, your funeral services would have full ceremony. That's putting someone in the grave. That's about $15,000. Okay, your repast is gonna run you anywhere from two to $3,000. That's, let's say $18,000. Right there. What if there's credit card bills have paid medical bills to pay. And that adds up to be $12,000 yet 30,000 right there and the list just goes on the cost just keeps coming in. Family members may have to fly out of town take time off from work. You know, you I mean, you you put your family in a difficult position without any life insurance. Think about it, the financial portion of it and don't say you don't care. You should care about your family, family resources, and your financial resources is going to be drained. Let's say you do have the money in the bank. Those resources is going to be drained very quickly. Having a life insurance policy is like having an additional savings account, something that will fully fit into your budget that you can afford, we can make it happen at your insurance connection. I'm an insurance broker we can find a policy whether it's a $35,000 up to a $35,000 whole life policy. Or if you need a larger policy up to a million dollars or even more, we can get you that at your insurance connection. I'm a broker. I find a company that will fit in your budget. To me they now the larger policies there will be healthy examination for you. You would have to take but you don't pay for any of that. We will pull records from your doctor, your primary care physician we will pull records or if you if you go to quick care we can We can pull records if you go to in and out of the hospital, we can pull records and that much that information is shared with the underwriter. The underwriter will review your records from from your primary care physician, and also from the paramedic that comes into your home, pull vitals the blood pressure, they may take body fluids, hair samples, there may even be a saliva test. I don't know, I'm not an underwriter. I set up the policy, I submit the fill out and submit the application. And the process gets started. One of the most important things when you're looking for the larger life insurance policy starts at 100,000 and up into the millions, if that's what you need, but it starts at 100,000. There will be a phone interview. That's the second step after I fill out the application, submit the application, you will receive a phone call within 48 hours. Usually after I fill out the application you receive that phone call day one. There is going to be an interview over the phone. They're going to actually help questions who's your doctor? Where's their doctor's phone number address? You know, and actually if you could do you a smoker, nonsmoker, you know, so they will ask you questions about your health. And it only takes about 20 minutes for the phone interview once the phone interview is completed. And we're talking about again, the larger life insurance policy starting at 100,000. And then they'll schedule the paramedic to come to your home, there is no charge to you. Once they gather the information that goes to the underwriter. They'll also pull records from your doctor, your primary care physician pull records from his office or her office. And then the underwriter will make the final decision make you an offer on the life insurance. We're talking about the larger life insurance policies. You can contact me at 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 I love what I do. I do I regret going to work and and not enjoying myself at times. But you know, because I'm sick right now. I regret the fact that I don't feel well and I have to go to work but I do a lot of work over the phone right now. But if you want to meet me in person, I have a location on the corner of Sahara in Rancho and a beautiful US bank center located on the eighth floor. Location is on the corner of Sahara and Rancho right across the street from the palace station, Hotel and Casino. All roads lead to Sahara and Rancho on one block west of the i 15. One block west at i 15. Right across the street from the palace station hotel, the US bank center located on the eighth floor, work by appointment, my contact number 702-236-2624 702-236-2624. My name is Donald Marquez or Don Marquez either way, you know contact me, let's talk about your insurance. I had a young lady also come in and we had a full insurance review. We reviewed all our life insurance policies, as he had about five of them. She had five life insurance policies. And she wasn't sure if the policies Whole Life policies he bought back in the 80s. You know, it showed on the illustration page where the the policy ended up at 76. So what we did, we got on the phone we call the life insurance company. And we had an insurance review with the insurance company that she pays a premium sue each month. And we found out that the policy extends to age 100. But it only illustrated to age 76. So she thought in her mind her policy that she bought years ago, that would end at a 76 Now, I'm so proud of her to bring her policies in those old policies he had. And she was well organized, I wish more people will come in at organize. That was way before I got into the insurance business. I got into the insurance business. And in the late 90s Back in 1996 When I got my license and I've been in the business ever since I love what I do, I'd love to meet you 702-236-2624. Now when it comes to that final expense policy we talked about earlier, there is no health examination to apply. No one is going to come to your home give you a physical, just a few health questions the way that they get you qualified for the final expense life insurance policy up to $35,000. They look at your pharmaceuticals that you're currently taking what what medicines you are currently taking what medicines are being filled within the last two years. This is how they qualify you for their insurance. Now if you qualify for final expense, you're insured day one. Now there isn't a clause in all life insurance policies for suicide for the first two years, that always the insurance companies will protect themselves. So there is going to be a clause in all insurance life insurance policies for suicide for the first two years and also for concealment. In other words, if you just knew you find out you had trauma No cancer, and you decided we're not gonna get a life insurance policy. And that may not that may sound odd to you, but it does happen from time to time, I will get a call. And a lot of my colleagues receive these calls too, as long as we've been around, hey, you know, my parent or my, my, my close loved one, you know, was diagnosed with stage four cancer, can we get them a life insurance policy? Well, then it's too late. Because they have less than 12 months to live, then you need to make funeral arrangements. Life insurance I have I have had calls, believe it or not, I've had call people call me and say my dad only has like four months to live? Can we get them $100,000 life insurance policy? I've had calls like that. Or here's another one. I've, you know, my my aunt, she's in a hospital. She's on a respirator, she's brain dead. She's been there for the last couple of months, can we get a life insurance policy?

Unknown Speaker 15:53
I've received calls like that the answer is no, we can't get policies like that. But if you have more than 12 months to live, right, if you have lupus, or history of diabetes, whether you're type one type two diabetic, we can get your life insurance policy, my loose, people with lupus don't give up, we can get you a life insurance policy. Now, if also, if you have family members, that, you know, that's kind of out there in the streets a little bit and you know, just doing their thing, they may have a drug problem, or they may have mental illness, we can get them a life insurance policy, we also can help you get a power of attorney, Christine Barnard is a team member at your insurance connection, she can get you a power of attorney for those individuals that's out there, you know, that's on drugs, they can't help themselves, they have an illness. But you know, you want to protect yourself just in case. You know, there's a premature passing. And you know, we never know because when it comes to death age, doesn't, you know, death does not discriminate when it comes to age. So, you know, let's let's protect ourselves. Let's make sure when that day comes when he had the fatal news, that you know, when your loved ones passed away, because they're out there, and you know, what do you do next, you don't have time to grieve because you got to figure out the financial part of it. Not only that, figuring out the financial part for a person that's I've kind of out there in the streets, but also your day, you know, the people that retired, you know, you retired, you say, oh, retire from a job, you know, I've worked here for many years, I lost, I lost my life insurance benefit. Without give up there we can get your life insurance policy, there is not it's not that difficult to qualify for life insurance policy, whether you need the final expense, smaller burial policy, or you need a larger life insurance policy, my contact phone number is 702-236-2624 70223626 to four, I can help you find a policy that will fit in your budget. And you know, when you receive this information in the mail, and I receive it to, for my credit unions from department stores, from banks, and also from life insurance companies, this is accidental only policies or they may offer you the term policy benefit. And they have you know, a rate sheet on here for women and also men, and they tell you the premium per $1,000 Up to a certain age. Now you keep in mind that these policies only good to about age 75. Now, you may or may not qualify for the term policy for 20 years, or you may qualify for even 10 years what is 10 years 10 years not long. It's really not now they don't require a course of physical, but they do have a contestable period. And sometimes that contestable is anywhere from two, maybe even three years, there is no medical exam when and when they call you or excuse me when you apply for these policies by way of mail or when you go online. There, you know, these policies are there. When you put in your information online. That's a lot of valuable information, you put it out there, of course, you're going to receive a lot of phone calls. And you want to why but you did put your phone number, you put all your information online. So now you're going to receive the phone calls with me, you're going to only receive one phone call maybe two, one from me, and one from the insurance company that's going to represent you. And now when you put your information online, of course, you're going to receive multiple phone calls. Dan Dan, day in day out for four weeks, and I've had people call me and say you know what, I heard you on the radio talking about it. I will never do that again. Thank you so much for telling people not to put their personal business online, because I do receive a lot of phone calls. And you these are strangers. I'm right here in Vegas. I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada relocated on the corner. My office is located on the corner of Sahara and Rancho in the US bank center. Or you can contact me by phone we could do a lot of business over the telephone. I can submit your application over the phone for auto homeowners, renters. And yes, life insurance. Also cover boats and motorcycle insurance. Right now the weather is B Beautiful in Las Vegas Nevada. I hope it stays like this. Oh we have a record summer where it doesn't get over 100 degrees that would be nice wouldn't it? I've lived here all my life I doubt that will happen. You know but that would be nice for a change if we have a low temperature summer in less than 100 degrees like it it like it is you know right now Vegas is beautiful this time of the year. But of course you know the heat is going to be on it's coming pretty soon. So definitely protect yourself. Put some sunscreen on. A lot of people are down on the lake enjoying themselves because put some sunscreen on. If you need boat insurance we we offer boat insurance at your insurance connection. We can insure your boat, your motorcycle your toys, also all your classic car if you have a classic vehicle we can also insure your classic vehicle I had to insure my classic vehicle I have a classic car and I and what a classic vehicle you had you do have to go to the Department of Motor Vehicle every single year to get it registered. Now we have to take a picture now this is your first time owning a classic car you would have to take a picture of the speedometer and then they will give you issued a classic plates or you can only drive that vehicle I believe is only 5000 miles a year on the classic car. And but every single year you would have to go into department of motor vehicle and register your vehicle now they have not yet you have it well you can go online and do it like you can register your other vehicles online. But with the classic cars you do have to go in person to register that classic vehicle every single year because they will ask for a smog when you receive that that notice every single every on your annual but you know your car will not pass smoke okay? Because you may you might have changed out the engine or you may have done some things to the motor that it won't allow it to pass smog or you know it just don't have the updated you know, smog equipment on the vehicle that will pass the day if it's all original. But they do give you an opportunity to enjoy your classic vehicle by coming into the DMV and filling out the forms and but you do have to show evidence of the take a picture of the speedometer showing them current mileage, but you can only drive that vehicle up to 5000 miles a year. And that's a that's that's quite a bit of driving that's a little low, you know 500 miles a month at 300 Miles my most classic cars, they mostly sit in the garage anyway. But you know we can insure your class vehicle for it is that for its stated value, there's two type of values on a classic vehicle, you know, so there is a stated value or an agreed value. Now as always good when I when I take my classic car to the shop, I always keep records of my classic car. You know all the receipts that I received from the mechanic, I keep record of those. I have a stack of receipts and I was adding to my receipts the other day I'm like the greatest I put a lot of money for this car. You know, back in the day, we know we can fix the old car with a screwdriver and a pair of pliers you know I mean it wasn't nothing to fix it. And parks were everywhere but not today. Everything is very expensive including gas. But you know enjoy your classic car get your classic car and sure enough your classic cars insured on your regular auto insurance policy is not a state of demand because now these old granny cars we call back in the day was granted cars. Now a grandpa cars, cars they cost a lot of money today they're very valuable parts of very valuable. But if you put your car, your classic car in your regular car insurance, it may not be covered for the full face value of the vehicle. Or you may I have a liability only on it if someone steals it or wrecks it you're not covered. My name is Don Marquez. This is your insurance connection. My contact number is 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 I'm located on the corner of Sahara and Rancho in a US bank center located on the eighth floor. I work by appointment 702 to three 626 24 if you're shopping around for car insurance because you feel like your car insurance rates are just a little bit too much. We do offer car insurance I represent well known insurance companies, progressive Safeco travelers, just to name a few. But one of the first things I look at is your coverages on your auto insurance. What type of bomb what coverages are you carrying on your bodily injury. Now we have 25,000 per person 50,000 Each accident $20,000 property damage as required state minimum for the state of Nevada for your bodily injury liability protection, which is I think is wonderful because it used to be only 15,000 per person 30,000 each occurrence but now we have 25,000 per person 50,000 Each accident $20,000 property damage. Now when you start shopping for car insurance, that what you should do is bump your coverages up a notch instead of having 2550 or or $20,000 on property damage, bumped out to call your insurance company have an increase it to 50,000 per person 100,000 Each accident $50,000 property damage is not going to cost you that much more. Now once you have a declaration page showing you have the increased coverages right now we'll put you in a much better position to shop for car insurance.

Unknown Speaker 25:23
When you drive when you come in with a minimum, you drive your car into me and you talk, we sit down and talk I look at your coverages and you have a minimum, we really don't have a whole lot opportunity to wiggle room to shop there. But when you have the higher limits of liability, that increases your chances when they're talking about you see the ads on TV all the time. 15 minutes to save you this much money for grabs great, surprisingly great rates. You know, we've seen all that before. In Vegas, they've not talking about Vegas, they're not talking about Vegas, that's a that's a nationwide average. They're talking about whatever that savings may be. But in Vegas, this is your edge, you want to increase those coverages before you start shopping. And a lot of times too, you can increase the coverage just before the next bill is due. It's not gonna cost you that much more money even increase it to 100,000 per person, three and 1000 each accident and $100,000 property damage that puts you in a much better position to shop. It really does because car insurance companies they they'll give you the better brakes, the lower brakes when it comes to reducing your car insurance when you can have the higher limited liability. My name is Dawn Marquez, this is your insurance connection. My contact number is 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 located on a corner of Sahara and Rancho and the beautiful, beautiful US Bank Center, located on Eighth floor I'm still a little hoarse. I got that little bug that virus is going around that sinus virus is going around. But hopefully by next week, I'll be okay. We're gonna look at your uninsured motorist portion of the auto insurance policy to make sure you do have it. Now some people that are retired with Medicare. So Medicare may or may not need this coverage or they may not meet need medical. This is why it's important to give it a get a full insurance review. We can sit down with you at your insurance connection to give you a review to tell you you know what you may or may not need that coverage because you're covered through Medicare. It's always good to have it I'm gonna tell you that right now. It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 will combine the home and auto together to give you the bundle. They are the home discounts auto and auto discounts at home. Or if you're a renter, your auto will discount your renter's insurance policy. And number the larger benefit is your renter's insurance will reduce your auto insurance policy. My name is Donnell Marquez, we'll do this again next week. You know call me at 702-236-2624 with any concerns I can help you shop for the insurance you don't have to go online put all your personal information online 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 We'll do this again next week. Until then just keep it crispy. Enjoy yourself. Thank you for listening
