Home auto, yes, and life insurance, boat and motorcycle insurance. been in business since 1996. As an insurance professional, right here in my home state, Las Vegas, Nevada, which I do love. I love this time of the year because the weather's so nice, outside, you know, go outside, get some fresh air, take a cup of coffee and listen to continue listening to the radio program. Today, you know, we're going to talk about final expense life insurance. One of my favorite subjects, of course, because so many of us need a final expense life insurance policy to take care of our loved ones final expense. And the reason why he does the subject is important because you'd have no idea as an insurance professional since 1996. How many people I've talked to that are not prepared? Are you prepared? Do you have a final expense life insurance policy? Do you have a beneficiary that you sat down with and talk to about final expenses? Have you sat down with your beneficiary or your loved ones to say you know what, here is my life insurance policy? This is where I keep my life insurance policy. Here's my trust my will it all the information that you need for final expenses? Also, if you're a homeowner, do you have a person will pass down your home to is called a beneficiary, you know, a beneficiary they will inherit your house when you pass away now, you know it's called right of Survivor. Because now when we run your review on your renewal, we won't see a speeding ticket. speeding tickets do have a tendency to make your car insurance go up. So keep that in mind. And also Christine Bernard also offers a notary service. She does wills she can get you in touch with an attorney to get a trust done. This is your insurance connection we broadcast right here K u and v 91.5. Jazz and warm 8am Sunday morning at to 830. Now we aren't Pacific Daylight Time i love it i is more more sunshine you need more vitamin D go outside and get you some sunshine. I enjoy this beautiful weather and I to my understanding they're not going to change the time anymore. We're not going to roll back it's going to stay set I hope it does. I like to roll back but it takes me a minute to get the roll up. You know the when we go out ahead I have to go to bed an hour early to get adjusted for these time zones but I do like it because going out to the leg and I love going out to the lake. Enjoy myself on a lake Like and it's more sunshine, more time to be on a water and enjoy the lake and that we do the water in Lake Mead. Oh my goodness, it looks a lot worse than it really is. There's still a lot of water in Lake me. But you know, this is my home city. And I remember when the lake spilled over back in the day, my wife and I went out there and we saw the we saw the spillover for the very first time. That was an historic event, right here in Vegas. And if you've been here that long, you remember that event. I remember seeing large cat fish roll over. I mean, huge phase six, seven feet long, you know that massive just rolled it over on the other side. But you know, it's something to do in Vegas. It's always something to do. If you do on a boat, you do need boaters insurance. You know you have to have boaters insurance they require on the lake or you you carry at least $100,000 in liability protection, just in case you run into another boat, you know, and if you can't, I've been out to the lake. And I've seen a gentleman he was unloading his boat. And he had a vintage at the time Camaro at the probably 6667. It was a really nice Camaro. And he was pulling his boat. It wasn't a large boat, but he was pulling his boat with the Camaro. And I think he forgot to put his parking brakes on or he may be left his vehicle in neutral, I don't know. But not only the boat when it went into the water. And this is a while back by the way. Not only the boat went into the water, the car went into the water too. So the boat was floating, and the car was submerged. And the only thing was sticking out was a 76 ball. You know that you know that 76 ball on his antenna. I feel so bad for the guy because it was a really, really nice Camaro. But you know, this is why you have insurance. things do come up unexpected. If he was covered, and I'm pretty sure he was with a car like that. He was covered things do happen. And this is what insurance is all about. It's the when it's not the if and sometimes it is but mostly is the when, when things occur. You pay for protection when you own life insurance, auto insurance, homeowners, renters, boats, motorcycle insurance, you pay for that protection. And the protection does cost each month, you pay a bill, you pay a fee every month for this protection. But when something comes up, don't you want to make sure you are insured. You know I've had people call me and talk to me about their current insurance and say, Hey, I'm fully covered. I don't know what that means. Honestly, I can tell you right now, I do not as an insurance professional, do not know what full coverage means. Because most of you are not fully covered. Now you will have the comprehensive and collision. That's totally understandable. That's what so when you do have a loan, your loan is taken care of if the car is lost, stolen or hit or damaged, it's identified to where you know you are taking care of your cars repaired. But you know full coverage means on an auto insurance policy, let's take it on auto insurance, but that means you have all the coverages that's what full coverage means to me. Now if you talk about a full coverage policy, you have uninsured motorist the bodily injury. The you know the property damage would you have to have that anyway but you have the UAM the uninsured motorist you have medical and not just 1000 $2,000 worth of medical you have 10 $25,000 worth of medical most customers that I talk to on even on the current auto insurance policies do not have medical coverage. Oh, you know you may have medical coverage on your job. Now, is your policy fully covered? No, it's not because you don't have medical these are exclusions or inclusions you can have on an auto insurance policy. For more information. My name is Donald Marquez, this is your insurance connection 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 My Location is on a corner of Sahara and Rancho in the US bank center located on Eighth floor, I work by appointment and I will work some Saturdays my business hours are Monday through Friday from 10am to 6pm Sometimes 5pm Well with the daylight savings time I tried to get out by five so I can still catch a little sunshine at the end of the day. Unknown Speaker 9:50
I work by pointing because I'm gonna give you at least an hour and a half of my time and no obligation whether you purchasing insurance or not, there's no fees. I don't charge a broker fee once a year insurance policies is uploaded and the insurance companies compensate me for my time. 702-236-2624 we offer insurance reviews now an insurance review is we review all of your insurances. We look at your home, your auto, your life insurance, your renter's insurance if you're a renter, and to make sure everything is covered, and also if you have a boat, motorcycle, you know, this time of the year both boaters and motorcyclists are out and about expressing and you know when and when you're on, on the roads, check. You know, I know some of these motorcyclists, they they drive a little crazy little while, especially the ones on the sports bikes. Most of the time, the sport instance sports bike, people give us a bad name. I'm also also riding motorcycles, but the guys that are going on the road riding the big Harley's and the big Honda's, you know, they're they ride and save, you know, they ride them packs, you know, they don't want drivers a cut in between them, because when they ride in the pack, they're riding safe. So give them the courtesy, if you want to come over and get off. And if you have to get off the expressway, you know, single single them turn your signal and leave it on for a while they'll they'll make the adjustment so you can move over what they're going to do is, is going to speed up. So all the bikers will speed up to get out of your way. So you can move over and get off the expressway. Or they'll slow it down so you can drive forward. Because they drive safe. We have to drive safe as bikers. That's what we do. We always looking out for each other, and also looking out for cars. But sometimes cars don't look out for us. They don't he's like yeah, he's on a motorcycle. So I'm gonna I'm gonna cut in front of him. But that's very dangerous. Now, it is dangerous for the motorcyclist. Some of these accidents happened on motorcyclists because they're cut off. You know, a lot of a lot of people would still be living today. If, you know, drivers wouldn't cut off motorcyclists that they're trying to ride safe. And sometimes, you know, I get it. Sometimes we see these sports bike, they're doing like 140 miles, 150 miles an hour down the road. Hey, guys, ladies slow down, there's no reason to drive that fast. Because you know, that's, that's not, that's not wise to drive that fast. And it's very risky. If you do get a speeding ticket, on a reckless driving like that, you could lose your driver's license, you're definitely you're going to lose your insurance, they're going to non renew your insurance policy. And you definitely don't want to drink and drive whether you're driving a car, or a motorcycle. Now let's talk about drinking and driving just a little bit what happens to your insurance, when you drink and drive? Well, in my, my years of experience, I've seen insurance companies cancel you, because now you have a DUI, it's gonna cost you probably eight to $10,000. For that DUI, it's gonna get very expensive, very quick, you may spend a night in jail, your car insurance is going to probably be expired or they're going to non renew you, and you have to get other insurance, that rate is going to go up because now you have a DUI and you cannot get that DUI off your your your driving record, I'm telling you that right now, no matter what classes you go to, by the way, it's going to be there. And if you have one DUI, keep in mind if you continue to drink and drive, after the first DUI is very easy for you to pick up the second DUI if you're drinking and driving. Because when the police officer are behind you, they're gonna run your plates. And they're gonna see that you had a previous DUI, and more than likely they will pull you over just to check you out. To make sure you now drinking and driving. Keep that in mind. Now I've given this wise advice out to people in the past, in in sometimes they don't listen, sometimes they do. However, I talked to a gentleman once he had three DUIs. And today he cannot even get a driver's license. It's just that no, but that happens. That happens. So if you have a DUI, and he has only you've only had the one, and I know you're gonna do a little bit of challenges right now. Now I'm not the insurance agent can help you with the DUI. I do have a couple of companies that can help you but the rates, you know, you have to be prepared to pay those rates. I'm going to tell you right now, but that's what DUIs will do. 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 DUIs will increase your car insurance. That's automatic. There's no forgiveness for DUIs. Well, now let's talk about a little bit. A little bit about life insurance. final expense, we started a little earlier, but I'm gonna get right back to it. When you have a family member with no life insurance, now you lose that family member. The family tries to come together, make it possible to bury your loved one with dignity. I mean, you just cannot do this regard of body you have to do something with the remains, you have to bury the remains cremated remains. And all this costs money. All of it costs money. Today's final expenses, burials is anywhere as 1215 $18,000. And up, it just really depends on what you want to do, or how you want to done. I mean, you want to Thunderbirds flying overhead, you want to release the doves, you want a nice hillside view, I don't know why they call it a hillside view, you know, you're six feet under the ground. I guess it's for the people that come to see you at the cemetery, for their view for their viewing purposes. But let's talk about a final expense life insurance policy, whether it can do for you and your family, it to keep your family together. Number one is to keep your family whole, it will keep your family home because now you have a life insurance policy you can present to your beneficiaries. And listen, when it's not if when my day comes and it comes for every single one of us. This is my life insurance policy. It is placed right here in the top drawer or in the closet or in the safe or wherever you want to keep it or you know sometimes what you can do to and I've done it, I've had it done to me, give them you can give your loved ones the life insurance policy here, take it put it up. There's nothing they can do with it. Now they could be the beneficiary and also the payer of the policy. And there's still nothing they can do with it because they're not the owner of the policy, the insured individual is the owner of the policy. Now, if your loved one has to go into a nursing home or has Alzheimer's dementia, you need a POA. You know, you need a POA to protect your loved ones. For it just in case you have to go into nursing home, you could transfer those assets are transferred a life insurance policy power of attorney, that's what I'm talking about a power of attorney to represent your loved one with the power of attorney. Now you can transfer ownership to the life insurance. As you now you're the owner, they won't lose the life insurance to the nursing home, because the nursing home would take all their assets. And this is when Christine Barnard comes in. She's an advocate for your insurance connections. She's a team member, she can help you make those tough life decisions on what you need to do with the power returning. Now with the life insurance policy, when that day comes, you could take the life insurance policy in the funeral home, the funeral home will review the policy, the first thing they're going to do is pick up the phone and call life insurance company to make sure the policy is enforced to make sure the policy hasn't lapsed. Now once they get the Okay, and it's not an accidental only life insurance policy. Now, with the accidental only life insurance policy, the person wouldn't have to pass away have an accident. And a lot of they a lot of the CDs are targeted for accidental only life insurance. You don't want that policy because it does not pay for natural causes. It doesn't it would have to be a severe I'm talking about a severe accident, but a whole life policy up to $35,000. With no qualification, there's no health examination to apply just a few other questions. One page easy application that I fill out either in face to face or over the phone, we can help you at 702 to

three 626 24 702-236-2624 lock in your benefits today. I mean, his time is 2022 What are you waiting I'm waiting for a life insurance policy to purchase a life insurance policy is not a wise decision to wait. It says not is gonna cost you more money as you get older. And you probably can only afford less insurance. I know everyone lives on a budget. And so do I'm on a budget. I'm on a budget. I hear that all the time. And so am I on a budget. But I do find enough money in my budget to make sure my final expenses are taken care of. I'm not going to leave my loved ones, you know, scrambling to put money together to take care of my final expenses. It's my responsibility, as well as your responsibility to make sure your final expenses are taken care of. I know people say well, you know, I have insurance on my job. That's fine. But what about when you leave the job on your own when you retire? You still may not have those benefits, or your are in a union. You need to find out exactly the rules are when it comes to life insurance with your union dues. If you're not paying your union dues, are you still insured to the union? What happens when you retire? These are questions we go over when we have a review. Now if you have a current life insurance policy, you see the policy is going up in value or going or even going up and rates you know and you don't know what to do with it. You really don't know what to do it when not when it goes up in value. That means your cash value is building up, you do have an option to borrow money against a life insurance policy. In case of emergency or if you just want to take a really nice vacation because you have all this extra money in the policy you can do that. But you also want to find a way to pay it back or pay somebody some of it back. That will be a separate payment back to the life insurance companies other than your normal payment each month to the life insurance company but you want to pay somebody toward it because it's about 8% interest rate 8% interest rate against that money borrow annually, because it could add up and it could double every seven years keep that in mind. But having life insurance does give you the peace of mind. It does give you the peace of mind that your family deserves not to be able to go out and try to put the money together borrow money pull money out of their 401 K you know things they have to do to max a credit cards out I mean it's delicious goes on and on. And there are times where family members do not come together and take care a little mother or father or grandparents or grandparents I should say they just don't have the money that hey I just I'm sorry I don't have the money. I already have bills I'm paying already gasoline is expensive. I know that all is expensive. But just like we have the payment for this gas eventually someone's gonna have to pay for your final expenses. And the younger you are, the better off you're going to be yesterday. young couple came in in their 30s You know we offered them life insurance, they were very happy, something they can easily afford. And they said wow, I didn't realize it was so affordable with a young family two young children. And I came in on a Saturday and I wrote them both in our life insurance. And they got nice policies I mean up there you know $300,000 life insurance policies on each one of them. The and very affordable, you'll be surprised and you when you're young at a young age, you really want to take advantage of you use your health and get a life insurance policy to cover you your young family. This is not only for seniors, you know 55 And older that's that's the majority of people that really do contact me and I wish younger people would contact me about their financial decisions they make because you're at an age where you know what it costs to get your your nails done. Okay what it costs to go to the movies, you're gonna have a life insurance policy. Because going to the movies today you know you pay for the movie you get the power there soda, the popcorn and all this way overpriced. But we buy it anyway. Because there's nothing other than like that movie popcorn rain and that soda right next to it and I can't stand it someone's sitting behind me and just crunching down on a big bucket of popcorn and they seem like there is a bottom us that doesn't have a bottom to popcorn. They just crunch and crunch and crunch and drinking the soda watching the movie. Sometime I just have to get up and move I can't take it when I go to the movies I get a little bit of bag of popcorn and and some water but you know I enjoy it too but life insurance is affordable you just have to make the decision to protect your family let's make the decision but take your family if you know if you can pay for car insurance you can have a life insurance policy you can if you go into the casino and betting on these final you know the the March Madness you can have a life insurance policy. If you bet on football and basketball tournaments, you're gonna have a life insurance policy that's wasted money and even going out to dinner. And I love going out to dinner on occasion. Not like I used to but on occasion because Vegas used to be a good deal to go out to dinner, it was almost cost effective to go out to eat then go on to the grocery store. It used to be not anymore, of course, but back in the day in Vegas. Oh my god, you can get a nice dinner for Lulu nothing. And my wife and I used to go to Caesar's Palace and we would get primary crab and I mean it was less than $20 by us line, potato asparagus. 20 less than $20 a plate you can't elude nice cut of prime primary of two overlooking the swimming pool. One day was in the restaurant and that restaurant is long gone, by the way. But Jimmy Carter and his long after his presidency, he came in with security everywhere. And it was just a few of us in the restaurant. He was in there drinking wine and enjoying his meal and listening to the piano player and come to find out the piano player that he was listening to used to play for him in the White House. Small World right? I asked the waiter I said what would wine is you know President Carter drinking and he said the same one that you're drinking everybody just wants to be happy drink wine and enjoy life. So that's that's okay to God. I'm thinking he's drinking a really nice bottle of wine and we was pretty much drinking the house wine at the time. But this is life. This is Vegas and I love, I love to meet you 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 I want to thank the listeners that contact me I've I've had listeners call me from Arizona, California, here and here in Vegas. And just to thank me for the information that I provide coming on the air at Kaitlan, the 91.5, jazz or more every Sunday morning from 8am to 830. Keep a log right here, we have music coming up other talk shows too, as well. Throughout the week programming, valuable information you get on Public Radio, we need to keep public radio going. It's information source to educate us on things we need to know, as I talk about life insurance, that's one of the key insurances that I find in my profession. That is the most misunderstood insurance. And this is why I talk about it quite often. Because yes, we get car insurance, we get homeowners insurance, that's pretty much, you know, that's probably like 123. But when it comes to life insurance, there's a lot of moving parts, there's a lot of moving parts people just don't quite understand. You may or may not qualify for that larger policy, there are other options. If you have family members with diabetes, or you have diabetes, and been turned down for life insurance, or lupus, cancer history of cancer 702-236-2624 702-236-2624, we can help you with a life insurance policy at your insurance connection. I represent multiple life insurance companies, we can find one that'll fit in your budget. You know, make sure that you are protected, have that conversation with your loved ones. Even if you have a current life insurance policy. We'll sit down one and with you with your life insurance policy you do have to bring in we'll give you a full review no obligation, we'll give you a full review. To make some make sure you know where you are with your policy, and how it's going to perform as you get older. Now, as we mature in life, sometimes our life insurance policies go up because the cost to insure you goes up. It does is it costs more money to insure you as you get older, believe it or not. So we want to make sure that policy premium stays in place, though of what are your other options. Sometimes, you know, people have options within a life insurance policy with the cash value asset that's in there, the policy could pay for itself. That's that'll reduce down your monthly premium. Or you can make adjustments that well you know, what is the target premium, and I have all this money in the cash value can I use some of that cash value to pay toward the premium 702-236-2624 My name is Donald Marquez, this is your insurance connection.

I want to help you better understand insurance. To make sure that you know your family when they have to deal with the grief of losing you. They don't have to deal with the grief of financial losses too as well. They already have their own deals, you have your bills, this is part of life. We have to take care of family members whether we're here or not. They're just part of being who we are 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 Don't don't make the excuse that we can't afford life insurance. You cannot afford not to have life insurance because someone has to pay for your final expenses. Is that fair to your loved ones is that fair to your daughters your you know or your grandchildren, your nieces, your nephews we can help you with you know whatever arrangements you want to make we can help you and if you want to donate part of your life insurance policy to a worthy cause a church or you know a nonprofit organization you can do that too.
