Good morning, Sunday morning redhead, K, u and v 91.5. Jazz and more. My name is Donald Marquez. Welcome to the show. We broadcast here every Sunday morning from 8am to 830, and lighting and you on information that you can use when it comes to insurance. I'm an insurance broker. I've been in the business since 1996. Started with Allstate Insurance company back in 97. And stay there for seven years and you know, my agency established but Allstate one of us to be bankers and have our series licensed to sell variable annuities. And I just Well, you know, I don't want to do that. Because if the stock market doesn't do well, then the variable annuity won't do well and who they're gonna blame they're gonna blame the stock market are gonna going to blame me as an insurance agent that say, You know what, you sold us as a variable and a variable annuity, excuse me variable annuity. And it's not performing like we thought it would. But that's an that's what we call a non guaranteed product. So I decided that at that time is time for me to move to another company, which a lot of us did from Allstate, unfortunately. But we fortunately ended up at AAA insurance company, which I had a really good career there and stayed long enough to retire. I retired in 2015. And decided to go on my own as a broker. That's why I'm talking to you today. As an insurance professional, I've been in the business since 1996. I understand that people are very confused about their insurance. Or you do look at your rate your focus more on your rate, than are your coverages, which I think you should be focused on both. The way you save money is through your coverages. You know, when people say I want to lower a car insurance rate, how do you get there? How do you get that you just don't we just not gonna raise your lower raise your insurance or lower your insurance without an explanation. You have to remember the insurance companies are in business to make money. And this is what they do, they have to show profit to pay for the staff management, they have to also pay for buildings, they have to pay claims. So that's one of the probably the biggest expense. Most all insurance companies have, whether there's life home Auto is paying VA claims. Now when you have multiple claims you've claimed on your auto or your property, of course, your rates are gonna go up. But however, if you haven't had any claims at all, and you wonder why you paying what you're paying on your auto insurance, now it's time for us to sit down. And let's have a review. And insurance review, we'll go over your coverages. Also, we will look at the price. But what's important to me is to make sure you have the right coverages for the right price. Now if something comes up and don't think you and his bubble would and nothing can come up, and you don't have to file a claim or your accident free all you LAIV and you never been in an accident, you cannot predict what the future may look like. I mean people get into car accidents all the time that it just happens No one wakes up in the morning and want to get in a car accident or you know they get in a car accident and no don't know what to do. One of the very first things you want to do especially if it's not not your fault, it's contact their insurance company. Now if they're at fault hit hidden you from behind this most common accident, they'll give you their insurance information, okay, they'll give you their insurance and information you contact their insurance company and that your insurance company to file a claim. When you give them your insurance information they can try to file a claim against your policy so you have to be careful now if they're at fault there's no reason for you to give them the your information your driver's license information, your ID information for your car insurance valid fault, not you. Why do they need your information? Because when you file a claim against your own auto insurance policy, you got to pay the deductible Number one and then they got may put you at fault. They may put you a fall for more information. My name is Donald Marquez, this is your insurance connection, my contact number 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 If you get a speeding ticket We have a team member, her name is Christine Benard. She is a team member at your insurance connection, she can help you with that speeding ticket getting reduced down to a parking ticket. Our contact number is 702-857-4401. Again, the number is 8702857 44 01. Now what she does is she'll get you in touch with an attorney, they'll get your speeding ticket reduced down to a parking ticket that helps you save money on your auto insurance. When we pull your driving history up, we do not see parking tickets. However, if you do go to court, and the court said, well, we'll reduce it down to a parking ticket. That is not always, you know, it always happened, as we see it a lot. And people think we put this speeding ticket in your driving record when we run your driver record and they tell us well, I went to court, and it was supposed to be reduced down to a parking ticket. But it wasn't. I don't know what the next step is through the courts. But you need to find out. However, if you haven't paid your speeding ticket, here's an opportunity. You can contact Christine Barnard again at 702-857-4401. She can help get the speeding ticket reduced down to a parking ticket. And also she'll do the power of attorney. Now if you have a family member that needs a life insurance policy, but they cannot speak for themselves. In other words, they may have Alzheimer's, dementia, or organic brain syndrome, they cannot speak for themselves, they cannot buy a policy for themselves. You know they have brain damage or mental illness, they cannot purchase a policy for themselves. However, if you have power of attorney over your family member, you can purchase a life insurance policy as a third party, you will answer all the questions. Now you can be the owner of the policy, the beneficiary, and also the the payer of the policy. Again you can with the power of attorney, you will be the owner of the policy, the beneficiary, and also the payer of the policy. Now the person that you're insuring they cannot pick up the phone and call the insurance company, the life insurance company and make any changes to the policy that gives you a peace of mind knowing that when that day comes, and it comes for all of us is not if it's a when when that day comes you are financially secure. final expense life insurance is very affordable. Today. It truly is. Without it. You know life insurance is a is a way to pay for funeral services. These funeral servers today with a full funeral service are running anywhere from 15 to $18,000. That is a lot of money not to have any type of life insurance on yourself or on your family. What are you doing? I mean, it puts you in a position where your family is passing out financial debt from one generation to the next.
Unknown Speaker 8:02
When you have to pay for a 15 to $18,000 funeral. What does that do for you financially unless you just have the money and write the check and say no problem. I got it right here but it's it still takes a large lump sum of money out of your account. Now with a whole life life insurance policy for final expense, the benefit is paid within 24 hours. A whole life policy benefit up to $35,000 in coverage. There is no health examination to apply just a few questions on an application. And I fill out the application whether you want to come into my office, which is located on the corner of Sahara and Rancho in the US bank center located on the eighth floor, I work by appointment. Or if you want to do it over the telephone, we can or make arrangements on the phone at 7022362624702 to 362624 we can write the policy over the phone and you can be insured they want. Now most people are insured they want for the full amount of 35,000 or if you cannot afford that $35,000 whole life policy. We can reduce it down from 1000 all the way up to $35,000 of coverage. Something is better than nothing. And by the way when people talk talk about well you know I want to wait I don't I don't understand the philosophy with that. I don't understand the whole I want to wait program. Okay, wait for what I don't understand when people say I want to wait to purchase life insurance. I don't know I don't understand that. I really don't. As an insurance professional I know and you should also know that the older you get, the more that coverage is going to cost. So waiting is not a great option in your favor is not is not an option. You should take you know I represent 67 Life insurance companies we could find a policy number one is going to fit in your budget. It that's the most important thing for me. It's me Make sure this policy does fit in your budget. What's the point of purchasing life insurance if you can't afford it doesn't make sense. Now it is based on your age, your health, your height, your weight. If you're a smoker, which I get very few smokers call me, we can sit down and talk about your options as a smoker. Now if you smoke cigars from time to time, we may not rate you as a smoker. Or if you smoke cannabis, we will not rate you as a smoker if you smoke cannabis only. Keep that in mind if you smoke cannabis only, but you can combine it with cigarettes, but we will rate you as a nonsmoker. 702-236-2624 is my number 702-236-2624 I want to thank the people that contacted me that tuned in and listened to the show on Sunday morning at 8am to 830. And they called about their insurances. And they want to go over an insurance review to make sure their insurances are good, or hold, or make sure if something happens, you know, we don't know when that's going to happen. But more than likely it will happen to you whether it's a car insurance accident, a car accident, or if you if you will, or your loved one is one of you or your loved one is are deceased, with the family can do to go into action to make sure your family is well taken care of. I mean, there are times when people you know go to the funeral home and have an accidental only life insurance policy. an accidental only life insurance policy is not going to pay your family members for final expense is for accidental death only. Keep that in mind. You know, every day someone walks into a funeral home to take care of their loved ones final needs with an accidental only life insurance policy. It doesn't pay for for final expenses when that person passes away when when it's a non accident. They don't pay for natural causes of death. Keep that in mind. I mean, this happens all the time. And then in India, people are really disheartened about insurance. They said, Well, you know, my my mom, my mother, my dad and my grandparents would pin on insurance for a very long time. And you're gonna tell me there's no good because it's accidental. It's real simple, they died of a heart attack. That's the difference. And this is why you need an insurance review to make sure that you're not paying for an accidental only posit that will never pay out. I've been an insurance agent since 96. I've never known one accidental insurance policy to pay out at time a need. Now you can get paid at time of need. The benefits will be paid with a term policy, a universal life insurance policy, or whole life policy. I'm talking about Whole Life policies right now. Up to $35,000 in coverage. Again, there's no health examination to apply just a few questions. One page application only takes about 30 minutes there yes or no answers real simple, very simple. Here's some of the questions. disease of the heart included heart attack, heart surgery, or congestive heart failure Do you have a disease of the circulatory system including stroke aneurysm or been advised to have surgery to improve circulation? Cancer other than basal cell skin cancer? Now if you said no to those we're well on our way to getting you a final expense life insurance policy disease of the lungs including COPD or emphysema other than asthma here's another question disease other liver or kidney I had an organ transplant out alcohol or drug abuse Now sometime this one gets confusing with this question on the application for life insurance, alcohol or drug abuse now if you drink alcohol knows you don't drink it every day, wake up in the morning drink and go to bed at night and drinking then you have a problem but if you're an occasional drinker, that's okay that means you're not abusing alcohol or if you have a drug problem. Now smoking cannabis is not considered a drug problem. Now but if you smoke it every day and you abuse it then that could be a problem. But let's let's have them make that determination because it just stayed in Nevada. It is legal to smoke cannabis, but it's not a federal it's not federal legally. But you know they are insurance companies out here will write to you as a nonsmoker if you only smoke cannabis. Now this one gets a little confusing but you know, complication of diabetes, including amputation, diabetic coma, blindness or kidney disorder. I'm gonna say that again, complication of diabetes, including amputation, diabetic coma, blindness or kidney disorder. Now if you are diabetic, type one, type two doesn't matter. We can get you a life insurance policy up to 35,000. If you don't have complications, again, including an amputation, if you haven't been had amputation, or diabetic coma, blind is a kidney disorder, we can get you a whole life policy up to $35,000 In most cases, and again, and also trails back to the medications you're taking all insurance companies review your medications, they review your history, they have access to this information that makes sure you are a good candidate for life insurance. I know some of you have been turned down, and you get frustrated trying to purchase life insurance, or the price is too high. Let's sit down and let's find a policy that will fit your budget, it's going to be there for the rest of your life. These policies, the whole life policies are there for the until you turn 100 years young. Now, if you turn 100, the policy is still, in effect what the insurance company will do, or the one that I represent, we're talking about right now we'll send you your money, your face amount of the policy if you each reach age 100. Now if you don't reach age 100 And you pass away before then, of course, the life insurance benefit will pay the beneficiary directly. Let's talk about beneficiaries. If you've had a policy and your beneficiary, your primary beneficiary has passed away, you need a new beneficiary. Without a contingent beneficiary in plays, the primary beneficiary is deceased, you have no beneficiary to receive funds when they come when that time comes and it comes for all of us. Now, what you need to do is just contact your insurance company and say I need to change a beneficiary form, you'll fill it out, send it back in, they'll place beneficiary in on your policy. Now, if you want more than one beneficiary, you can do that. Because some people want to put their children as a beneficiary on their life insurance policies. You can also add any churches, charitable groups on your life insurance policy at a percentage. For instance, if you want to add your church, onto your life insurance policy as a beneficiary, as a primary beneficiary at 10%, you can do that. Now, that leaves you 90% To put your other beneficiaries on or if you have just a single beneficiary, the church received 10% and the beneficiary received a 90% tax free money was tax free. If you sell a home you have capital gains taxes, if you don't roll that money over into 1031 Exchange, that means the money has to be held in escrow. Once you sell the house, the money is held in escrow so you can purchase another property or roll that money into another some type of savings account or variable annuity, whatever you want to do with it. However,
Unknown Speaker 17:31
if you touch that money, now all of a sudden you have to pay capital gains tax. With a life insurance policy. There is no capital gains tax, you don't even file a life insurance policy with your taxes, because of the income that it generates. Life insurance is a gift of love, it secures your family's future, it tells your family members that I care enough to leave you my legacy with his life insurance policy to take care of all these expenses. And there's gonna be a lot of expenses. And I already said it early in the programming 15 to $18,000. To bury a loved one, that's a lot of money to come up with all at once. I mean, if you have the money, that's fine, but most people don't. I mean, with with inflation going on right now everything is going up, including including the cost of funerals. It's going up every six months is a rate adjustment in the funeral homes. Don't be caught off guard. You know, it's hard enough to lose a loved one. I understand that I've been through that myself personally. I've lost loved ones. But you know, I was smart enough to have a life insurance policy on the people that I lost. It's very important to have that life insurance policy because you have time to grieve without a life insurance policy and a loved one passes away. Now you don't have time to grieve. You have to go into financial action. The final way to pay for this very expensive funeral. You're going to take time off from work, you're going to have to pay maybe a rent, you have to pay mortgages or maybe you know you have to move them furniture home, you might have to pay a car payment, car insurance, utility bills, there's a repairs you have to pay for. The money just keeps adding up. So don't think waiting is a good solution when it comes to purchasing life insurance. Because what you're doing you're delaying what you need to do. I can help you My name is Donald Marquez. If you're just tuning in for the first time, this is your insurance can actually my contact number is 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 my location is on the corner of Sahara and Rancho in the US Bank Center. Located on the eighth floor, let's have a conversation. Make sure you know your family is in order if you need a pair of Power of Attorney for that loved one you have that has Alzheimer's dementia, and we have him in our family, family members who will melt illness or here is what some parents have called me, they have children is kind of out there in the streets, you know, as doing anything, but they want to put a life insurance policy on them. And we could do that, we can also do that you will be the owner, the payer of the policy, you know, or if your husband or your spouse doesn't want to take out a policy, as a spouse, you can write a policy on them up to $20,000 on a whole life product. Now, I don't want to be bothered with that, you know, you will take care of that we can write a policy, up to $20,000, you will be the owner, you know, and, of course, you'll pay for it you to be the beneficiary. Okay, you have insurance, it gives you that peace of mind. In it call a funeral home, find out what they charge for funerals today. is mind boggling. It truly is. To bury a loved one today is like it is like I said 15 $18,000. And they who can come up with that money. Now the benefit of having a life insurance policy is it comes directly out of your checking account each month, or you can pay it quarterly or semi annually or even annually. You can select your due date, what date, the payment will automatically be drafted out of your account between the first and the 28th of each month. Now, if you want to add that accidental rider on your policy you can do as well with the whole life policy. Now what does that mean? You are covered for accident, you are also covered for accidental death, single dismemberment, due to an auto accident, death, death due to common carry it that means if you're on an airplane, bus or train, you're covered. Now, if there's an auto accident, most auto accidents are not covered by an accidental only life insurance policy. They excluded. But this company that I'm representing your company that represent they will include car accidents, so your beneficiary will receive money from the car accident, and also the portion of the whole life policy. So that's called a double indemnity payment. So they'll get payment on both. And the accidental portion, it starts immediately, if you are modified, let's talk about modified just a little bit. What does that mean? When you get this information in the mail, and they want you to sign for a policy and it looks great to you, you're not insured right away. You're not insured right away for the first two years, sometimes, depending on the company. And depending on your age, you're not insured for the first three years, however, your beneficiary would receive the money back plus all the money paid into it. And 10% interest if in fact you pass away before the modification period is over with when when you receive this information in the mail. You know, you look at the price, you look at the coverages, but you don't read the fine lines. And you should read the fine lines because you know a lot of these policies that they offer you in the mail could expire when you turn 7580 or even 85. Now you without coverage. But this is why important. It is important for life insurance companies to have license life insurance agents like myself. Now your insurance connection we offer home auto life insurance, boat and motorcycle insurance 702 to three 626 24 is my contact number 702-236-2624 Let us help you with a life insurance policy with the whole life product. We can add a child rider on your policy in other words, your child could be insured just like you are. Now when they turn 25 they'll spin off your policy your policy will reduce in cost. And they can they can have their own life insurance. But I haven't even showed their insurable 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 with a with a whole life policy benefit up to 35,000 We'll be going to need application information is your name. You know, of course, your address, your phone number, your date of birth, where the male or female and man usually pay a little bit more than women. That's just the way it is because insurance companies they say Man, they die earlier than women. And I find that to be true. I've known him and I live their husbands by 15 to 20 years after they pass away. And you know so it is what it is but it's not that much more think about it. We spend money on a lot of different things going out to dinner gambling and Vegas. I mean we do we have a we were in entertainment capital of the world. So we have a lot of shows on the Strip. You might want to go out to a show, but think about the cost of that show. When it caught it and then we'll have dinner after the show drinks after the show we're doing the show is very expensive to go out today. It's very expensive to go out today. Now we can spend money on OzAsia items. We definitely can have a life insurance policy. You know, I know all of us have car insurance on our cars. Well if you don't have it, you should have it. If I can help you with your car insurance if you don't have car insurance, but we are willing to put car insurance on a machine, a car, and now willing to put life insurance on our own lives, what is the most valuable asset you are, you're the most valuable asset in the household. Without you, we lose the income you lose in a family member, but you primarily lose that income, or that income is reduced. But most people lose the income when that when that person passes away in the household that income has gone. Now you have to go in the reaction mode, what are you gonna do? Think about it, what are you going to do is 2022 Now it's time to step up to the plate. Let's talk about life insurance, let's talk about a policy that will fit in your budget. And if something comes up and it's something always come up. Now that's just life, the first thing you don't do is cancel your life insurance policy. Now find someone else to reduce the cable. All it means bills that you have three or four cell phones that you may have, you don't cancel some of that reduce some of that get a different program on your cell phone. You don't have to have the latest technology out there. When it comes to phones on my phone, I keep it loans, it rings and I can text with it. I use it. I don't need the latest iPhone, I don't need all that. As long as it rings, I can answer it and work with it. Because as soon as you get a new phone, it's like that brand new technology that you got all these different apps. It's very confusing. I remember falling you just dial it with one finger. There was no text and I was looking at this. This this program one day on television, and a little girl accidentally hit there wasn't a museum. And the dad was showing a little girl she was above you know, three to five. And she said that, looking at the phone booth the phone in the phonebook. She said Dad, how do you how do you text on this thing? And he laughed because it was a it was a phonebook, no texting, and it was real simple. And that's what we remember, we remember phone numbers. We don't remember phone numbers today. We just don't. I don't remember following them. If it's not in my phone, I don't remember it. But, you know, when it comes to life insurance,
Unknown Speaker 27:15
there's one thing you should do is let the beneficiary know that they are your beneficiary. Have a conversation with your family, see you as life insurance and see who doesn't have it and ask the question why you don't have life insurance, who was supposed to take care of your final expenses. It's a conversation that we try to avoid all the time. We do. We avoid this conversation. But it's very important to let them know what the policy is who's the beneficiary to make sure that beneficiaries up the day, we can give you an insurance review. We'll go over your auto insurance, your homeowners insurance, yes and your life insurance. My name is Donald Marquez. This is your insurance connection, my contact number 702-236-2624.
