Good morning. Good morning recovering from Thanksgiving.

Unknown Speaker 1:20
Absolutely

Unknown Speaker 1:21
was a wonderful night.

Unknown Speaker 1:22
It was wonderful. always wonderful. Each is a little too much just a little uncomfortable. Well,

Unknown Speaker 1:29
I think we always overindulge a little bit. And but that's the that's the festive part of it. But you know, I'm thankful for my health. I'm thankful for having this opportunity and coming on the air and talking to our listeners about insurance. I'm thankful for a lot of things. I'm thankful for my family. You know, my family members that came to see me from out of town. I'm thankful for a lot of things and and most of all, I'm really thankful for the listeners that listen to Katie would be 91.5 jazz or more and contact me and take care of their renters homeowners. Auto life insurance.

Unknown Speaker 2:06
I agree with you 100%

Unknown Speaker 2:07
Life Insurance. I'm having you on the show today. It's a pleasure because it's been a while since you've been on the show for having me and Christine benign is a paralegal. She helps me from time to time with, you know, my private attorneys for my clients with life insurance. Sometimes you may have family members that has Alzheimer's, dementia, organic brain syndrome, ALS, Lou Gehrig's disease, where they just really can't, you know, talk for themselves or answer the health questions. You can be power of attorney, and a lot of other features that Christine does offer our clients. And Christina, you know, instead of talking about you, I'm just gonna let you take over the mic. And, you know, let our listeners know exactly what you do and, and how they how they can get in contact with you. Absolutely.

Unknown Speaker 2:51
Thank you, Don. My name is Christine Barnard. And I am the founder of a company called everything legal. I am a paralegal with 42 years of experience and multiple practice areas. Here in the Las Vegas community. We do last wills and Testaments. As Don said, medical and financial power of attorneys. We also try to help people save their homes to keep them out of probate with deeds that are called write of Survivor deed. And if you do not have a family member, there's a deed called deed upon death, that you can designate who you want your home to go to what you pass, we, we provide both of those services for you. I also am a mobile notary. And if you're thinking of opening a new business right now or in the future, we do LLCs and from now to the end of the year, I'm offering a special so that there's no reason why anybody can't get their estate planning in order don't let money be the reason why you don't do that.

Unknown Speaker 4:07
Because if you take care of your house now is for later because you know people try to come after you for lawsuits as as a business owner myself, I'm also I have an LLC and it gives me that added protection for for individuals that can't come after my personal assets, although I do have other protections, but it's always good to be protected. Right? Absolutely. The more protection the better off you are somewhere I'd the better I sleep. Because you know, being a sole proprietor really kind of put yourself out there

Unknown Speaker 4:36
it does and what the Registered Agent for the LLC is that I prepare I become the Registered Agent, which means that they have to come through me before they can walk in your door and sue you. Right. They have to come to me.

Unknown Speaker 4:49
Well, and you talked about, you know, the benefits you provide. You know, let's take a little step further. And we talked about this the other day, a DUIs. It's a holiday You're up here. And you know, people get DUIs. And it's a train wreck, because it turns their lives upside down. So you might get your driver's license suspended. You may lose your insurance, your insurance will go up, you will need an sr 22. Can you just briefly tell us what the service is? How can you help a person with a DUI? Well,

Unknown Speaker 5:20
technically, I can help if they have a speeding ticket, okay, I can take care of the ticket, get a reduced to a parking, they still have to pay the fine but it won't show up on your on your driving record. When you get a DUI, you really have to call Abell spots man, you need an attorney because they're not going to let you out and unless somebody is there to represent you.

Unknown Speaker 5:44
What we're talking about right now is a step so you get a DUI you get arrested, yes and go what goes from there

Unknown Speaker 5:50
it goes, it goes from there, you need to call a bail, bondsman. bails bondsman will post bond for you. And or they'll set a date for you to come back, you know for another hearing and your car is impounded, your cars impounded. You are you're incurring those fees unless someone goes and get your vehicle for you. So and then, if you have three DUIs, you lose your license. Oh, yeah, you know, it's a lot of hassle.

Unknown Speaker 6:16
And that will cause your car insurance rates to go up. But people say, Well, I had a DUI three years ago, it's still on your record, and it does affect your record, because you need to carry the SR 22 But 36 months, and if you lapse with sr 22, you have to start all over

Unknown Speaker 6:31
again. And sometimes you have to have an sr 22. for things other than a D Oh, yes.

Unknown Speaker 6:37
Oh, yes. If your policy lapse is tificate of financial responsibility, it's attached to your auto insurance policy, it is an additional fee. This is people that you know that their policies lapse over time, and don't have don't have insurance. You know, there's a lot of reasons to, you know, the courts may require you to have an sr 22. But one of the most common is, you know, lapse in insurance coverages. And also, you had a dui, dui. This information you can use. My name is Don Marquez, this is your insurance connection. Christine Binondo team member your insurance connection we work well together and you know, if you have a family member, that again is kind of you know need need that power of attorney, they don't have to have Alzheimer's or dementia. But if you want to give them a life insurance policy, and they don't want to speak for themselves, or would you get you can be Power of Attorney over that individual. You may have a family member that's on drugs or alcohol abuse or maybe an older family member that needs guidance and someone as a as being a POA you can answer all the health questions you can sign for the policy that that individual does have you consent to do so with a power of attorney it gives you authorization to take out a life insurance policy I have multiple companies I work with. My name is Don Marquez If you're just tuning in, this is your insurance connection. We broadcast right here at KU envy 91.5 Jazz and more Sunday morning every Sunday morning from 8am to 830. This

Unknown Speaker 9:45
veterans out there just want to give you a heads up I recently went to the MGM and I enjoyed a wonderful show Usher I saw our show last Tuesday and it was an amazing show and it is a wonderful show as as I said before Veterans found out at the MGM rewards you go to the to the cage, or the casino cage and you show your veterans ID. They will give you a military veterans program and what it does for you, it allows you to have pre free parking, because they charge a parking now remember back in the day, Christine, when Vegas they didn't charge for parking, even locals are still charge. Oh, yes, we are. But with the veterans ID you know, you could park and to my understanding is free parking because the parking fees now, you know, you know, when you stay at a hotel, it used to be at a hotel fee. And that was it. Right? Now you have the hotel fee, the resort fee, the parking fee, the air feed, the walking on the carpet fee. The fees is continue to add up. I mean, come on now enough to know even when he said well, I room rates are only less than $250. But when he had all these additional Dummies is double and sometimes even triple. I was in California, and they told me thank you for the hotel. And when I got to the hotel, all these additional fees were added on what was their fee, what just to walk on your resort, you charge me a fee. Yeah, just to work on a resort. It's amazing. But you know, this is news you could use it's save you money. It's called MGM rewards is it's a Perl program, you know, and they give you a card, and you present it to the valet or the person that or you know, getting out of the park the parking, and you can park for free. That's the news, you can use good information. Yeah, and these parking fees. Now I was I went to a Super Bowl party at Caesar's Palace. Last February, it was $40 for Mina, just a part, that's the part and that was in the garage. That was in a garage, garage Park and 40 I had no idea I was leaving. And you know, for me to get my you know, come out through the parking gate, I had to pay additional $40. But you know, whatever, we can help you save money, we want you to save money. And you know, another way to save money is on the life insurance. You can save money in the life insurance and because most of you probably saying well you don't have insurance on my job. You know, and, and you're probably paying for that life insurance on your jobs. A lot of times it's three times your salary. And they charge you your job charging, what it is, is as a term policy. They never give you a policy at your job. They just say okay, here you have the benefit, but you're paying for that benefit. You probably can save money by having your own individual life insurance policy. And when you leave the group or when you retire, or you resign or even maybe get laid off those benefits does not go with you. It's good to have an individual life insurance policy. Now if they offered the benefits free at work, no charge. Now if you're a union worker you are paying for those benefits you are paying for those benefits. You do have other options. Again, my name is Don Marquez, this is your insurance connection. I'm a licensed insurance broker for the state of Nevada. I want to thank the listeners that came in and purchase home auto and life insurance. 27 years in the insurance business I love what I do. I think you know what you're talking about. After 27 years and I've seen a lot and 27 years and I know what someone wants to really get a policy now knowing somebody just you know they're just trying to figure out what to do. I can help you. It's very easy. Just sit in my chair in my office and I'll just take you step by step you just put your train over I position relax, and let me do let me fly the plane. I'm a good pilot. I can navigate you through the ups and downs and the you know concerns about all insurance policies. I do a full review no obligation. You bring in your auto insurance or homeowners your life insurance and no obligation reviews. And you know we have you have a policy that looks great for the life insurance to home and out I'll push it back and say you need to keep the Stay where you are. Now if you have a Hyundai Kia I know a lot of you are experiencing your rates going up with a Hyundai Kia. I do have a company I'm working with that can write Hyundai's and Kias. I don't know if you noticed or not. But some, you know, kid went on Tik Tok and showed everybody how to how to take a Hyundai take the car and drive off without the key. It's amazing. And if you do have a Hyundai key you should check with your dealership. They can update the program on the vehicle but

Unknown Speaker 14:30
recall that they're doing I believe

Unknown Speaker 14:32
so. It's always good to check with the dealership. You know because you don't want to come out during the holidays and all of a sudden your car's gonna with all the gifts in it. You know and if you do have a Hyundai key or any vehicle that you have, put your your gifts in the trunk. You know because people are smashing windows and taking taking smash and grab.

Unknown Speaker 14:51
Let me add to that if you have when you have auto insurance and they generally send it to your your phone digitally I'm asking all of our listeners to print your ID cards. Because generally the police if they pull you over, they are not going to take your phone with your driver's license and go back and run your information. You need to print your ID

Unknown Speaker 15:16
card. And I tell my listeners, your parents your ID card. Yes. Your registration and put it in a white envelope. Yes, you know, put it in a white envelope. And you know, it don't look like nothing else. But that you know what I mean? And take out those old ID cards, because they're no good, no good. You know, it gets very frustrating for the police officer. You know, traffic, let's say you get pulled over and you and I 15 and traffic is going by 7080 miles an hour, and you're in it's at night and you're fumbling and through, you're in your glove box to find the updated ID card. Well, I know I've been with this company for a long time. And just fumbling through and you have all these old ID cards in your glove box, haven't get rid of those, throw them away, shred them, they're no good. And along with those old registrations, just only have the updated ID card updated registration and put it in a white envelope, show it to the police officer role, you wander down and before the police officer come have your ID, your driver's license, and your registration is ready because they're gonna ask for that reminds want you to make them make it really simple, really easy. So they can do what they have to do so you can get along you'll go on your way. And I've, I've been pulled over myself and I've had my ID my driver's license and my registration ready for the officer. And a lot of times, they just let me go Believe it or not, you're prepared, I'm prepared and I was nice. That wasn't you know, me born. And do not do not text and drive. A lot of car accidents today as a result of people texting and driving. You know, we have rear car and collisions, because people are texting and driving. And it's not that important. Be safe, be safe. And here's another one. I think she'll be alone personally. Now, I know a lot of dog lovers are out there. And they gonna have their little pooch and a lot with them. And this dog is sticking his nose out the window and they're driving between the dog and the stand the dog is between them and the steering wheel. And if there is a collision of the dog just does something lose control the the airbag will deploy. Yes, you're gonna know what your little dog tastes like, in the wrong way. You know, they

Unknown Speaker 17:34
should they should be required to be in a seatbelt or car seat as well. They make dog seat belts, they make dog car seats.

Unknown Speaker 17:41
I don't Yeah, absolutely. Well, the dogs should be in the

Unknown Speaker 17:44
backseat, well, that's where the seat goes. And the dog in the backseat.

Unknown Speaker 17:47
So you want to protect the animal and I know you love your pet. But traveling down the road, what your what your pet, you know, in the car with you is sitting in your lap while you're driving

Unknown Speaker 17:57
isn't distracted. It's a hazard.

Unknown Speaker 17:59
I think it's a hazard, you know, people people going to have a you know if some spooks a dog or you know, whatever, it could be a car accident and you know, and if the airbag deploys, you know, you don't feel like you're actually

Unknown Speaker 18:11
seeing somebody stock fall out the window. Oh, that's too bad. So leave it I'm gonna leave it there.

Unknown Speaker 18:17
I'm gonna leave it there. So you know, take care of your pet, put your pet in the backseat. I understand. You know, your pets are like family, but you want to treat your family. Now you wouldn't have your child when you drive down the road with your baby. In between you understand? Well, you know, think about your pet the same way. My name is Marquez, along with Christine Banagher. Anything you'd like to add to your services? You said you are traveling notary.

Unknown Speaker 18:40
I am a travel a mobile notary and

Unknown Speaker 18:42
what usually you have you use your notary Sir, when people call you primarily for notary services,

Unknown Speaker 18:50
I get notary services for a lot of seniors, a lot of seniors that are in senior care facilities that have documents or family members that need the signature of a senior of the senior and I pay special attention to my seniors, I make sure that I give them what they need. And I actually review the document and speak with them so that they understand what they're signing. I don't just go and just because the family member says sign this notarize it I want to talk to them to make sure that they understand and

Unknown Speaker 19:24
whatever person you know, they they need documents sign how quickly can you respond for their needs? 24 hours and 24 hours. Okay? Okay. And you know, I've read your, your card where you have other services as well. promissory notes, how often do you drink or do you loan

Unknown Speaker 19:45
people money, right, which we discourage and you don't put anything in writing? You know that I lost you this money. This is not a gift. This is a loan to be paid back on such a such date or in installments. However, there's a signature line for both parties and I notarized that document making it a legal document. So that if you do not pay when you're supposed to pay, you can be sued. Small Claims. Well,

Unknown Speaker 20:12
you know, when people loan money, sometimes you have to kiss that money, goodbye. If you don't have a promissory note that money is gone. You never, you're never recovered. You never recover. In most cases you don't I don't know money anymore. That's why we have payday loan places. So you go there, you'll pay them back. Let's talk about they're gonna take it back from you. Are they gonna get it back? Let's talk about last will and testament. Yes, last will and

Unknown Speaker 20:33
testament, if you don't have a trust, a lot of people don't have the trust, or they don't have assets to put in a trust, or they can't afford a trust. We can do a last will and testament which will allow you to say what you want to happen to you, whether you want to be buried or cremated. Where you want your things to go, who your point appointing as your executor to handle your affairs.

Unknown Speaker 20:59
When it comes to life insurance, it's very important to have a last will and testament because sometimes when a person passes away, and I've witnessed this many times in my office, it just everything is in disarray. It's a mess. They don't know where they where the life insurance policy is. They don't know who's the beneficiary they know is a very expensive funeral to pay for, without having a conversation. We have a lot more holidays coming up, we have Christmas Christmas Eve, it will not particularly in that order. Christmas dinner, suddenly does have a family meeting, go over discuss, well, you know who's on a life insurance policy, who's the beneficiary, and if you lost your beneficiary, maybe a spouse was your primary beneficiary,

Unknown Speaker 21:46
I can update that you can up to help.

Unknown Speaker 21:49
Absolutely what a or you can contact your you know, your insurance company and ask for change of beneficiary form is very simple,

Unknown Speaker 21:55
I only need to do both of those right so that they match.

Unknown Speaker 21:59
And because if a person passes away what I've been told from the funeral homes, if a person passed away without a primary beneficiary, that that policy is not acceptable. Because the primary beneficiary has to sign for sign off for the life insurance policy to be taken in as collateral to take care of those final expenses of final expense life insurance policy. If you have a loved one with AIDS or HIV, from 40 to 80 years young, I can get you a life insurance policy out. I'm really excited about this new company I just signed up with great western life insurance company. They will write people with HIV AIDS from 40 years young, up to 80 years. Past I could never write a person with AIDS or HIV regardless of the age. Now I do have a company, lupus a history of cancer, I can help you get a life insurance policy up to $25,000 face amount coverage 702-236-2624 702-236-2624 final expense, we all gonna have a final expense, you know what the cost of a funeral today in the upper 15 to $20,000 is not uncommon. Now if you are veteran you can be buried at the Boulder City Cemetery only. And your plot is paid for only your pod is paid for an end and the vault is paid for the opening and closing the headstone all is that included? Or what a minimal fee. Now, husband and wife can be stacked on top of each other or maybe even side by side, you would have to contact the Boulder City Cemetery. If you don't have a life insurance policy. Now's the time to do it. You don't have to wait to the first of the year. No, that's a good excuse now, right now even contacting Christine Well, you know, I'll call it adversity you know, let's

Unknown Speaker 23:48
do it. Now.

Unknown Speaker 23:49
Let's do it. Now let's stop kicking the can procrastinating. You know, we're not getting any younger. Right? That's right. That's right. And so I can right your life insurance policy up to 85 years young 702-236-2624. Now's the time that the act. Now if you want a really nice Christmas present to give a person take out a life insurance policy and make them the beneficiary and let them know. You know what, I took out a life insurance policy. I didn't get you that ugly Christmas sweater. But I took out a life insurance policy. And I made you my primary beneficiary. And it's a gift that keeps on giving. So next year, you can remind that individual, I made you I'm your primary beneficiary so when I go you're going to receive this money. Well, that's a gift that that's that's a good gift, right? That's a great that's a great gift. Well, you my primary benefit, you just got the policy remember this and

Unknown Speaker 24:39
also done. For people who have children. Having a life insurance policy protects those children. You know whether they're babies young Oh, well, what we do in our mind when I prepare last wills is we have to designate where those children go or what happens to the pets and things of that nature. Nature. So it would really be important to have be able to add to the pot to my last will and testament that you have a life insurance policy with this company. Your final expense policy is listed here with the policy numbers on it, so that the executor knows exactly who to call.

Unknown Speaker 25:18
Here's a list. It's a list. It's your list. It has your mortgage company, your auto insurance company, it has a list of everything, your credit card company. I mean, this is very important. This is News You Can Use. I'm Don Marquez, along with Christine Barnard. You know, you may you mentioned something very important that I get from time to time I get from time to time, what if it's a husband and wife, surviving spouse, one spouse has passed away. They have no surviving children, no relatives, no one to leave this day to what happens? How could you help that individual with no one to leave their estate, they own a home? They have they have money in the bank,

Unknown Speaker 25:58
I can definitely help that person. I've done it numerous time. Okay. You know,

Unknown Speaker 26:03
they tell me Well, I have no one to leave my assets, I

Unknown Speaker 26:07
have a conversation with them and find out who's important in their life. We can leave we can do the deed upon death so that that person can get the house we can add them as a beneficiary to their bank account. There's multiple things to do if they don't

Unknown Speaker 26:21
know that. There are options, many options. Okay, there are option because I've been faced with that. I've been asked that question what I mean, why don't need life insurance policies, because I don't have nothing to leave to. And you know, I've had this come up a few times, when people say, oh, you know, I want to leave my body to science.

Unknown Speaker 26:41
Let me tell you right now, let me explain something to you. It's a lot of homeless people out there. So they bodies.

Unknown Speaker 26:48
They don't need you. Right, they have plenty corpses out there. And I have to tell people that sometimes you because, you know, when it comes to life insurance, they find excuses, well, I'm gonna leave my body to science. They have plenty bodies out there. And who wants to leave your body to science, you know, you want to die with dignity. You don't want to be left behind with some type of moral value with your life. I mean your life you bet you've spent all this time on this planet, and you just gonna throw your corpse away to science and live and know they have enough homeless people to experiment with they don't need your buddy. What you need to do is take out a life insurance policy do not do not put that burden on your loved ones where they have to come out of their pocket 15 to $20,000 to take care of your responsibility. 702-236-2624 Life insurance is a gift of love. Now we in the gift of love season, you know, again a life insurance policy. Take one out on you take one out on your spouse one day, this is all going to be needed. It's just a matter of time as as we age. We see a lot of our friends and family members passing away and the family don't even have it doesn't have money. They're calling around asking for donations.
